Vette Letters are thrilled to add maverick designer Dirk Uhlenbrock to the family, with the release of VLNL Bromfiets. Bromfiets (the Dutch word for moped) is a ‘holiday child’, the basic idea coming from a stop at a road junction in the Dutch coastal province of Zeeland. The Dutch signage, the black and white rings of traffic light poles, the symbols for brom- and snorfiets have always appealed to Dirk. While on vacation in Zeeland the first scribbles and digital drafts were created, always in mind that the typeface had to be striking, clear and friendly. The end result is more than that, a strong and instantly recognisable font with a matching dingbat weight full of icons and arrows. Stencil fonts have always interested Dirk, the informal character and the possible universal use as a paint- or spray-stencil on a wide variety of surfaces makes this type of font so interesting for me. The technically necessary dissolution of closed font contours always ensures a special aesthetic: What’HAT and HOW MUCH has to be removed or left, in order to make words easy to read and to avoid a fractal impression. Dirk Uhlenbrock has been working as graphic designer and illustrator in his hometown Essen, Germany for over 30 years. Always interested in typedesign he got in contact with Fontographer in 1996 and started to create and distribute loads of free fonts through his online platforms ‘Eyesaw’ and ‘Fontomas’. A bunch of these type experiments have been extented on request to complete fonts. CubicType therefore recommends using this type at large sizes and with processes that are faithful to its fine details. It would look great cut 2 metres high on the side of your galactic spaceship. Retra is unusual serif high-contrast font family in Bodonian style. Some elements has not classical forms, so the font looks interesting and unusual. It is suitable for headlines and some texts. This is a display version of a stylized sans serif font family that is very high-waisted and sleek called Bergsland Fashion. This four-font set has a Regular and a Black plus the italics. The stroke is only slightly modulated. The letterforms are higher, with a more open aperture, and sprinkled with breaks to add light and sparkle. This an attempt at a readable sans serif for text. It has many OpenType features and 465 characters per font: Caps, lower case, small caps, old style figures, numerators, denominators, accents characters and so on.

Street Tag vol1 is inspired from graffiti tag in urban areas in Jakarta, i also draw graffiti, tag and throw up since high school. This is originally my style, inspired from some my favourite graffiti artist, my tag style is not so tidy and i think you guys should adjust the kerning manually again, because it’s impossible to adjust them to be tidy. I also create special letter "G",“Y” and “T” in vector base, so you can edit the path as you like, combine with the original font, you can see the sample.

RFX Modern, published in 2024, is a contemporary typeface. The idea was to create a typeface that is immediately associated with topics such as AI, blockchain, digitalization and innovation. The 90° angles and horizontal emphasis give it both a technical and futuristic character. Although it has a strong character of its own, it is still compliant enough to be used as a continuous text font. Monospacing and a high X-height make it very striking and pleasing to the eye. Of course, it supports all common accents and special characters of the Latin alphabet.

Rika is a combination of supposedly male and female characteristics, combining together to create a beautifully realised, high impact, condensed typeface. The tall but well-built characters are softened with smooth curves and a mixing in of thin lines, so that the sharpness of many condensed fonts is brought under control. Suave in its application, Rika is all professionalism and elegant showmanship, great for both headlines and text. Rika comes with support for a number of languages, as well as specifically designed glyphs, and its uses might be considered limitless.

The Daytona™ typeface family grew out Jim Wasco’s desire to design a readable and legible typeface for video and on screen use. Because of its high levels of legibility, the Daytona family is additionally an ideal design for display usage in digital user interfaces and a wide range of print applications. Wasco drew each character with legibility as a primary goal, some of the letters having unique attributes to minimize the ambiguity. Daytona Variables are font files which are featuring two width axes and have a preset instance from Thin to Fat.

Swissra is an Arabic typeface that was inspired from Swiss graphic design. The motivation behind the typeface was to create a neutral and carefully crafted Arabic font family that can be used on many different applications. Swissra also aspires to tribute the experience of Swiss graphic design and pass it on to the Arabic graphic design scene. Swissra features sharply cut terminals, which are either horizontal or vertical. It also features closed apretures and a high x-height. It comes with eight weights, that range from thin to black.

Nicomedia is a modern sans serif type family with a contemporary, technical look that reflects the high-tech industrial age that we're living in. Linotype BioPlasm is a display face created by Italian design Mauro Carichini in 2002. It distorts and deletes parts of letters, creating the appearance of a living, typographic organism in pages of text. Lines set in Linotype BioPlasm seems bubble to the surface, and always hints at some sort of unrevealed secret. Although only parts of most letterforms are visible, the high x-heights of Linotype BioPlasm's letters make its text surprisingly legible for such a concept-font. For usage in products ranging from Sonic to Science, Linotype BioPlasm may be the font for you!

Bocksay Mira is a text font family inspired by the manuscript Mira Caligraphiae Monumenta created between 1561 and 1596 by Georg Bocskay and Joris Hoefnagel for the Holy Roman Emperor. All shapes were taken from the original records in both regular and italic style: lower case (p. 5, 72), uppercase (p. 47, 121), small caps (p. 122, 7).
