A new font inspired by vintage hand-painted paper signs. The Doorbuster Collection is based on retro hand-painted paper signs primarily seen in grocery stores from the 1920s through the 1970s. We meticulously hand-drew each font, modeling the spacing and uneven baseline found in vintage sign painting. The purposely organic ascenders and descenders, along with a huge set of ligatures/contextual alternates to avoid the same letters repeating when paired, give it a real hand-lettered look. Doorbuster Plug is perfect for both vintage-inspired and contemporary marketing, branding, and packaging designs. It's a classic workhorse font from the 1950s thru 1970s. Fungis is a somewhat �brother� of Fungia. These two typefaces were conceived simultaneously as an experiment on designing typeface based on natural shapes. In both cases it was mushrooms. Of course the main theme of these typefaces is not mushrooms itself (it was just a start point) but the interaction between form and counterform. In spite of unquestioning individuality the font has some associations with wood typefaces from wild west, typefaces from circus posters of 19th century and even slight feeling of gothic. The font can be useful in different cases: posters, titles, book covers, billboards, street signs, magazine spreads and all situations that demand expressive typography.

TapedUp, Tinkerer, and Rumpled are based on the template I used for several letterbat fonts—fonts made of wrenches and bolts, hammers, or paper clips. TapedUp can be thought of as a font made from masking tape, and Rumpled is the same design but the tape pieces are wavy. Tinkerer is the same design but with elements that resemble what might happen if one constructed letters from Tinker Toys. All are caps only, but some of the shapes on the lower-case keys differ from the corresponding shapes on the upper-case keys. The Rumpled family has four members, the regular, an oblique, a shadowed, and an oblique shadowed.

Banco was the first typeface work of French designer Roger Excoffon and was released in 1952. The strong forms look as though they were rolled out of sheet metal and feature upright, tapering strokes. The slight slant, the varying heights of stroke ends, and the relationships between line and curve give Banco font its sense of liveliness and dynamism. Excoffon did not design a matching lower case alphabet for his capitals, but this was accomplished later by Phill Grimshaw, who also designed the light weight. He deliberately 'underdesigned' the lower case forms, producing a more reserved alphabet based on the design ideas of the original.

I recently bought a small, portable speaker. I can now listen to music when I am making fonts! Output Volume is a name I came up with after reading the quick start guide that came with the speaker. Output Volume is a 100% handmade display font - it was based on a protest sign, but after a few glyphs it started to morph into something unique. I created 2 sets of contextual alternates (including the most used accented glyphs), that will cycle as you type. I also added some discretionary ligatures, to get an even more random effect. Output Volume comes with a vast array of accented letters, including Vietnamese.

English Grotesque is based on the proportions of an early 20th century signwriter’s sans, emphasising the characteristic idiosyncrasies of type of the period. Sharing a similar Roman circle-and-square construction as Gill Sans or Johnston Railway, it has a wide T and W, a narrow S, and a long-tailed R. The Roman alphabet did not include a lower-case, and therefore early sans-serifs tended to base theirs on handwritten or cursive models, resulting in more even character widths. English Grotesque, by contrast, carries the more characterful proportions of the capitals through to the lower case. Available in six weights, with optional alternative versions for the Q, &, £ and J.

Fujiwara is also the result of studying the proportions of modern Swiss typefaces adding a personal touch to create a versatile and stylized font suitable for all kinds of compositions. The slanted versions were very carefully drawn and corrected, it also has a variable option and many open type features like fractions, special numbers, tabular lining numbers, case sensitive forms, standard and discretionary ligatures, emojis, arrows, carefully aligned case-sensitive accents, stylistic alternates, and more.

Rosabella is a script typeface with plenty of decorative details — flourishes, swashes, twists and other elements, which impart to the face a gorgeous festive look. An unusually large number of alternates and ligatures make it possible to imitate live calligraphic writing. Lower case letters are divided into several stylistic sets from relatively modest variants to the most decorative contextually-dependent swash shapes. Besides that there are two sets of upper case letters — the second one contains larger and more complex shapes. Letters from the different stylistic sets can be used in a wide variety of combinations with the different levels of embellishments. Rosabella was designated for display material, greetings and advertising.

Camelot was the first of over 100 typefaces designed by Frederic Goudy. The upper case characters were drawn in 1896 for the Dickinson Type Foundry. Goudy was so encouraged by his check for $10 (double what he asked for the drawings), that he spent the next 50 years designing type. The lower case was added by the Dickinson foundry. This Lanston digital release includes a Text version based on the smaller point sizes of the metal type and a Display version based on the larger sizes. The two appear different in size but share the exact same line weight when at the same point size.
