Aromatron is a friendly yet striking display typeface with a balanced and consistent rhythm. Drawing inspiration from the shapes of nature, unique solutions were employed to achieve a rich, dark, creamy texture. For many type lovers, Broadway is the quintessential Art Deco typeface. Designed as an all-caps typeface in 1927 by Morris Fuller Benton for ATF, it was expanded two years later with a lower case designed by Sol Hess, who also drew the inline version, Broadway Engraved.

Bullish is a clean, contemporary, geometric font family. There are 12 fonts in the Bullish family, Light, Medium and Bold. Here is a faithful revival of Gothic Number Ten, released by the Cincinnati Type Foundry in the late 1800s. Not your garden-variety sans-serif, its quirky caps will warm up your headlines. Both flavors of this font feature the 1252 Latin, 1250 Central European, 1254 Turkish and 1257 Baltic character sets.

This clean looking (all caps) font has characters made of gaps, which form the stencil divisions, spaced evenly along the strokes. The letterforms have a well-proportioned constructional appearance. The characters look like they have been built from interlocking bricks, the stencil gaps give them both rhythm and texture. The sans serif typeface also has a sense of movement because of the way the stencil gaps follow the horizontal, vertical or curved direction of the stroke.

Record Title was designed by Frederic Goudy in 1927 as a proprietary commission for the Architectural Record magazine. Based on classic Roman letter proportions, Goudy considered this one of his most successful commissions ever. It is an all caps titling face originally digitized by Jim Rimmer for Lanston in 2001. It was remastered in early 2007.

A playful Art Deco face from master penman Samuel Welo is combined with design elements used in 1930s signage to create this architectural face. End caps are created with {brackets} and spaces with the design elements are _underscores. Both versions of this font support the Latin 1252, Central European 1250, Turkish 1254 and Baltic 1257 codepages.

ITC Photoplay is another gem from Nick Curtis. Unearthed from the 1927 edition of Samuel Welo's Studio Handbook for Artists and Advertisers, the design's original suggested use was for title and caption cards for silent movies. A monoweight design that bridges the gap between turn-of-the-century decorative type and Art Deco, ITC Photoplay is both casual and stylish. And, yes, the cap S" is supposed to look that that. To expand this already handy typeface's versatility, a Black weight has been added to the original design. Curtis has also created an array of alternate characters, a couple of conjunctions, and a handful of "bishop's fingers" to help make your point. ITC Photoplay is eminently suitable for all those occasions when you need to say, "Unhand that fair damsel, you dastardly cad!", and really mean it."

Dearest John is the first font in the Love Letters series from Outside the Line. It is a bouncy hand lettered font. If you type caps and lower case you get one look. If you type all caps you get another look. Kind of 2 fonts for the price of one. I prefer to type caps and lower case and then go back in and tweak the headline a little to get the look I want. Dearest John was seen in the 2011 Typodarium Page-A-Day Calendar on 12-9-2011.
