This historic revival font was created especially for use in the preservation and restoration of the 1916 silent film “The Good Bad Man,” starring Douglas Fairbanks. There is only one copy of the original film print in existence, and when the film was restored for a screening at the San Francisco Film Festival in 2014 the new font was created to best recreate the intent of the original lettering in the film. It is a smooth and pleasant vintage lettering style, originally designed for use on silver screens, now fully rendered in OpenType and ready for you to use in your designs or web pages today. J. M. Bergling, in his 1914 masterwork Art Alphabets and Lettering, offered this face as suitable for all occasions Greek, and we couldn't agree more. Both versions of this font include the complete Unicode 1252 Latin and Unicode 1250 Central European character sets.

Onyon is a bizarre typeface with vertical stems that thicken in the middle and narrow at the ends. It was created as an experiment to see what a typeface would look like if the vertical stems were diamond or rhombus shaped. The letters are angular with unusual triangular serifs and they have no curves. It is a harsh, cruel typeface that will make your eyes water if you use it at small point sizes for text.

Song Publisher JNL features a design based on the 1945 Art Deco-era hand lettered sheet music title "When the Old Gang's back on the Corner (Singin' Sweet Adeline Again)". It's a good thing sheet music wasn't sold by the word count found in song titles, because this twelve word example would have been more costly than titles such as "Nola", "Tenderly" or "Ciribiribin".

Orenji is the Japanese word for Orange: it is a phonetic translation of the English word. I was actually looking for a certain shade of orange (the color), when I stumbled upon this fun word. I already toyed with the idea of creating a font loosely based on my son Sam's handwriting and I figured Orenji would be a good name for it. Orenji is a fun, cute and extravagant font. It has some uniquely shaped glyphs, comes with a giggle and a hug and more diacritics than you can throw a banana at.

The hand lettering for the movie posters and collateral items for the 1962 film "Mondo Cane" inspired Doggone It JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. "Mondo Cane" loosely translates into "A Dog's World", and the subject of the travelogue documentary consisted mainly of unusual cultural practices around the world that many would find perverse, depraved or shocking.

Although wood types are found throughout the world, most of the decorative one originated in the United States. This one would work well on theatrical playbills, and advertising for tourist railroads, wild west shows and concerts in the park.

While we can’t comment of the suggested definitions for ‘tuggle’ that you might encounter online, we are happy to expound on Tuggle’s quirky and endearing characters.
