Bommer Slab Rounded designed by Eduilson Coan is the softer sister of Bommer Slab released in April 2014. This family includes 14 weights: seven uprights and seven italics and opentype features such as: all caps, ligatures, ordinal, fractions, numerator, denominator, superscript and subscript.

Trad (Träd is Swedish for tree) is inspired by viking mythology and runic alphabets. Imagine a viking warrior crudely carving a message into a tree stump with his trusty dagger, sipping on a flagon of ale and pondering a hard days slaying. Like the blade of his blood encrusted axe, Trad is ideal for projects requiring a sharp edge, such as the cover of your next thriller, zombie flick, or death metal album.

The chestnut ("castanea") is one of my favorite trees. I used to collect the chestnuts and made chestnut-figurines out of them, using bamboo sate skewers. Castanea font is a calligraphic typeface with an uneven baseline and some messy characters - not unlike the tree. It is a highly legible, highly enjoyable font and could be used for children's books and postcards. Castanea comes with various alternate glyphs and speaks most Roman-based languages!

Benchmark Pro is a carefully structured geometric typeface which works amazingly well in body text due to its simplistic nature and large x-height. The design of Benchmark Pro started out as an attempt to convert the minimalistic structure of a technical and purely geometric design into a readable modern and friendly sans serif. This was achieved by selectively changing and turning the straight lines of the initial drawings into curves and applying legibility techniques to the transformed letterforms. These letterforms have a distinct personality which is bolstered by its angular curves and open counter terminals. The result is a contemporary text typeface that looks quite fashionable. Benchmark Pro gets away from the ultra modern and mechanical structure but keeps its display nature, it gets away from the classical but still remains legible. This robust san serif type family offers an extended character set which supports simultaneously Latin, Cyrillic and Greek. Lydian is Warren Chappell’s almost calligraphic sanserif, designed for ATF in 1938. Lydian Cursive, done by Chappell in 1940, is much freer and more calligraphic.

My teacher used to say my writing looked like ‘hanenpoten’ (“rooster legs”). It is a Dutch expression for a scrawly script. When this script emerged, it had ‘scrawl’ written all over it! Scrawlerz is a messy script font with a lot of joie de vivre. Enjoy!
