Mocha Mattari is a distressed font designed based on Bebas Neue released as a free font in 2010. The Original Bebas Neue has an inordinate level of popularity and it has often been used as a web font in recent years. This Mocha Mattari was made by damaging the original and tweaked by hand work. Basically, Mocha Mattari does not have lowercases but alternative Uppercases. Exceptionally “g, m, oz, fl, lb” for “gram, milli, ounce, fluid, pound” can be available by opentype dlig or salt features.

In 1995, when indie rock hipness was just reaching its pique, Chank was really into Jawbox, a post-punk band from DC. It was their music he was listening to when he made this font for the Space Ghost web site. The band broke up in 1997, but the font named in their honor lives on. Granpa’s typewriter comes from an antique Olivetti Typewriter Machine I have. This font has all of the effects a typewriter machine can offer you: a regular version, a strong hit version, a light distressed version, a double-hit version and X version, which is a compilation of several typewriter mistakes, tests and stains. This font is specially handy when trying to use a typewriter effect on an edgy/grunge work, where there's no worry about perfection!

The letterforms are based on Inserat Cursive, a bold script popular in the late nineteenth century; the treatment was suggested by cover artwork for Graphic Styles from Victorian to Post-Modern, written by Stephen Heller and designed by Seymour Chwast. Included in the font are several handy ink blots (section mark and superior numbers positions), a stylish tailpiece (florin position), and a couple of ink bottles patterned after those on the bookcover (bar and broken bar).

Say hello to Metropolia! Drawing up the first roughs of this design I was aiming for a slightly asymmetrical feel. I later realized that this gave it a strong art deco influence. A slight tilt brings it a forward movement and a distinct flavour. Designed primarily for headline use, this is not your workhorse font but rather a playful and versatile addition to your font toolbox. A set of alternate capitals will be handy for headline or logo ornaments.

I like Carrot Juice a lot. I don’t drink it that often (and I should, really), but nothing beats a freshly squeezed glass of cold carrot juice!! HGB Galaxo is a tribute to Othmar Motter (1927–2010), the Vorarlberg graphic artist and typeface designer, who designed very individual and perfectly crafted typefaces in the 1970's and later. (Motter Ombra, Motter Tectura ...)From a Motter sketch of 5 letters for a logogram, I derived a simplified letterform and developed all the necessary characters. Working on these glyphs and delving deeper into Motter's letterforms, the respect for the accuracy with which he drew his letters (in ink) grew more and more. The spiral resembles the shape of a galaxy, hence the name Galaxo. The font is suitable for retro, poster and logo design.
