Petite Fleur is a combination of engraved, flowery embellishments and the Capitals of my redesigned Royal Romain (Romain du Roi), the exclusive font of King Louis XIV. It is best used as initials only, but can be mixed with Royal Romain. On the keys for ≥ and ≤ I designed two filler embellishments and the ciphers 0-9 are embellished as well. Enjoy! Attic Antique by Three Islands Press. Flipping through a friend’s old hardbound collection of John Burroughs nature essays a while back, I thought it'd be fun to try to develop a typeface with the same uneven, imperfect look to it. I picked and chose among various printed characters, enlarged them somewhat with a photocopier, then hand-rendered each. Had to custom-make some of the accents and symbols, then added a couple goofy dingbats just for the heck of it. The result: an amazingly legible serif family akin to the Century faces.

Queen is based on the designer's own hand. It is a handwriting font with a difference (just like Affable). It has all the vigor and spontaneity of a hurried note, combined with a skilled and precise joining of characters to give a true cursive script. This font comes in three styles, Queen Regular, Queen Black & Queen Lite. Fat Kitty Kat is a hand made, rather bouncy and happy font. It was thought up, drawn and vectorized during an unusually long rainy period in a small Porto hotel room. Kitty Kat's glyphs are rather rough, but legible and fun to use. The font comes with extensive language support and a full range of alternates for the lower case letters.

Hiatus bridges the gap between formal scripts used for invitations and more classic settings and casual scripts that exude a warmer tone. Like many formal scripts, Hiatus is fully connecting. Its low body height combined with generous letterspacing adds an elegant profile to lines of text. Like casual scripts, Hiatus has a warm, hand-lettered appearance with great rhythm. Solid in structure; Hiatus also sets well at smaller sizes. Type enthusiasts will enjoy the variety of options. For optimal text flow, both letters and ligatures have alternate versions programmed to come in at the appropriate place for both beginnings and endings as well as in various contextual settings. In addition, there are variations and flourished versions of almost every letter and ligature. Some ligatures have as many as 12 variations. ITC Skylark, from designer Patty King, is an alphabet with a strong handwritten character and calligraphic influences. The figures look as though they were written with a broad-tipped pen on rough paper. The result is a light stroke contrast, irregular outer contours, pointed stroke endings and a clear slant to the right. These characteristics lend the font its spontaneity and liveliness. Franz Kafka’s manuscripts have always been a source of inspiration for designer Julia Sysmäläinen. At first she was just interested in literary aspects but later she noticed that content and visual form can not be separated in the work of this ingenious writer. Analyzing Kafka’s handwriting at the Berlin National Library, Julia was inspired to design the typeface FF Mister – by now a well known classic. Over the years, FF Mister K became a handsome typeface family and even produced offspring: the Josef K Patterns. Some of Kafka’s most expressive letterforms were the starting point for these decorative ornaments. How do the Patterns work? Outlines and fillings correspond to the uppercase and the lowercase letters on your keyboard. You can use them separately or layer them on top of each other. If you write a line of “pattern-text” in lowercase and repeat it underneath in uppercase you get a row of fillings followed by a row of outlines. Now you can color them and then set line space = 0 to get a single line of layered colored ornaments. Alternatively, activating OpenType / stylistic set / stylistic alternates will also unite the two lines to a single layered line. A nixie tube is a technology from the 50’s used to display numerals that are composed by metal filaments that light up much like a lamp bulb. This handmade-looking, playful type is inspired by the titles of a few old Czech movies for children. With its irregularity and numerous alternates, Rumburak simulates live handwriting. Sonus – a new monoline family with dynamic-flow drive. Influenced by early English sans serifs - Powerful and energetic but with some classical features. Its firm structure makes it great for text and demonstrates its lively linearity in displays. Sonus comes in 16 styles, in OpenType format and with extended language support.  All weights contain standard ligatures, proportional lining figures, tabular lining figures, proportional old style figures, lining old style figures, matching currency symbols, fraction and scientific numerals and arrows.

ITC Blaze was designed by Patty King in 1995. It is a typeface which looks as though it were written by hand with a broad tipped pen on rough paper. The pointed ends of the characters and the leaning to the right give the font a dynamic, energetic feel. Blaze shows the influence of the late 1940s and is best suited for headlines and short to middle length texts.

Got a favourite pair of jeans? I do, and I wear them every Friday when it's time to PAAAARTYYYY! Well, that was 30-something years ago, but the memory of those jeans lives happily in my mind :) The font, Friday Jeans is a happy-go-lucky sans font with inky edges and lively lines. Playful as a Friday night out!

In the 19th century typefaces with star-like serifs developed from the medieval type styles, retaining the sharp corners and peaks of some of the blackletter types but losing the flourishes on the upper-case letters. Asterx is in that tradition of star-footed typefaces, though it is not modeled on any particular one.

This set of initial decorated letters is an entirely original creation, drawn inspired by Italian renaissance engraver Vespasiano Amphiareo's paterns published in Venice circa 1568. It contains two roman alphabets : the first of large Initials, the second of small caps. Both containing thorn, eth, L & l slash, O & o slash. It can be used as variously as web-site titles, posters and flyers design, publishing texts looking like ancient ones, or greeting cards, all various sorts of presentations, as a very decorative, elegant and luxurious additional font... This font is conceived for enlargements remaining very smart and fine. The original height of the initials is at least about one inch equivalent to about four lines of characters, small caps may have the same height than the caps of the font used with, but cover two lines is better. This font may be used with all GLC blackletter fonts, but preferably with "1543 Humane Jenson", "1557 Italic", "1742 Civilite", "1776 Independence" without any fear for doing anachronism.
