Replay is a pure hymn to the classic typeface Caslon originally made by William Caslon (1692–1766). The typeface that bears his name, was made between 1720 and 1726. In 1739 he founded the Caslon Foundry which later become a property of Stephenson, Blake & Co., but remained an independent foundry until 1937. The typeface have been popular ever since it was made and still stand proud as a classic text face. MRF made detailed research, including versions from Adobe and Justin Howes. The end result is leaning more towards the original. Some minor »imperfections« are also incorporated in order to make the typeface more lively and old fashioned.

Sherwood is a reproduction of an unusually small wood type font from England, dating from the last years of the 18th century. Somewhat reminiscent of Caslon Old Face. The original wood type is used at Sherwood Letterpress and can be seen on the Sherwood home page.

Afternoon Edition JNL is another classic typeface (with Caslon influence) re-drawn from screen captures of vintage newspaper headlines. The font joins Final Edition JNL, Evening Paper JNL and Morning Paper JNL as a mini-collection of type styles used to grab a reader's attention in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s.

Jaggers is a handwritten typeface based on the letterforms Caslon. It may be hard to see the resemblance between these two since Jaggers is such a unique font. Overland Trail JNL is Jeff Levine Fonts’ interpretation of “Italian”, first introduced in 1821 by the Caslon & Catherwood Type Foundry. Unique and somewhat similar to Faux Pas JNL with its eccentric stroke weights (opposite what is considered normal for serif fonts), the typeface features a design most associated with the Old West. Overland Trail JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Linotype Auferstehung is part of the Take Type Library, selected from contestants of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. Here’s a fresh take on a classic, Caslon Black Swash by Ed Benguiat. Big, bold and beautiful, it’s a natural choice for distinctive and attractive headlines. Several alternate lowercase characters are included in the font, in place of some math operators. The PC Postscript, Truetype and Opentype versions contain the complete Latin language character set (Unicode 1252) plus support for Central European (Unicode 1250) languages as well.
