Idealista directly responds to its other members, Nudista and Kulturista. It shares the same proportions and the same set of weights, yet it enriches the expression means of the two typefaces with new themes — the character set is smooth, even round, and it boasts a number of special details and perky moves. Most of all, Idealista relishes juicy magazine titles, typographic logotypes and propagandist posters. Unlike cold, technicist typefaces, it has great zest for life, so there's no wonder that in each of the letters, intuition wins over intellect. Owing to this, the text set in Idealista has a special voluptuous quality and unmistakable temperament — in a single typeface Idealista combines the best of sans-serif, slab-serif, as well as geometric and calligraphic construction principles, coming down to one impressive, expressive cocktail. Some letters have serifs, some do not, some are sharp, some are smooth, and all this results in the nice hip-hop beat of the line of text. The typeface has five weights and ten styles in total, so it can easily accommodate to the needs of complex texts, unlike many of its display counterparts. Idealista is valuable partner for the more text-suited Nudista and, if need for tiny sizes arises, to Kulturista as well.

I, uh, don't know quite what to say. I'd toiled so long over Pumpkinseed back in '96 that I guess I needed a good, wild ride to shake out the head cramps, or something. Whatever grabbed me, it forced me to sit down and design a typeface real fast directly in Fontographer (had never done that before). Took less than two hours to finish the regular character set. No way to explain it, but the exercise actually paid off -- I think. And now that there was Speed Bump, there simply had to be a companion dingbat set. (Beats the heck out of me.) The Adinkra name, by legend, comes from the King who was conquered by the Ashante people of Ghana. The king, Adinkra, wore wonderful patterned fabrics. Adinkra means “goodbye,” and the symbols were reserved for funeral garments. Today the symbols are part of the Ghana popular culture and around the world. You will find the symbols on everything from housing, clothing, to tattoos. These 100 symbols are accompanied by the Ghana name, a loose translation and what the symbol has come to represent. The meanings and symbols are by no means the complete list and some people do not use the exact same translations and meaning as you will find here. These are for casual use and not historical or anthropologically completely accurate.

Dialog is my first sans serif. I had made some attempts earlier, but they didn't satisfy me. Dialog was, on the contrary, so inspiring that I made 19 different fonts of it, the most complete typeface for several years. I usually prefer typefaces with serifs, but I don't miss them in Dialog. The name needs no explanation. Dialog was released in 1993.

Theater posters of the 1930s were often exuberant exercises in Art Deco lettering sensibilities, and the handiwork which inspired this typeface is no different. I've been in a vintage-meets-modern mood in my most recent font construction, and this is no exception. Whiskey Tango is a fun retro-style tall and narrow sans-serif font with a scoop of variety: it includes over 110 items in the Private Use Area, including small caps, alternates, ligatures, and ordinal indicators. There's just enough imbalance in stroke widths to make this font a little goofy and quirky, and really charming. All of the lines and curves are clean and sharp, making it great for text that's large, medium, or small. And it's great for crafting as well! As usual for me, this font contains over 300 extended Latin characters for language support, as well as full uppercase and lowercase sets of Greek and Cyrillic characters. And everything, as always, is fully PUA-encoded so all characters are easy to access, no matter what method you use.

Kontrast Grotesk represents a contrast in type design based on a different principle. It was inspired by W. A. Dwiggins and his experiments with the stroke variations. Contrast in this typeface is created not only with the influence of the writing tool (the thickness of horizontal strokes in relation to vertical), but by setting the primary and secondary construction strokes of the characters (e.g. glyph “E”). The grotesque types are usually with no or minimal contrast. Having the contrast has created a new and original look of this typeface without compromising the legibility. The fonts are designed for fluent reading on the screen. A little wider proportions are specially welcome with no need for saving a space as it is in printed media. Kontrast Grotesk family consists of five weights, with italics, small caps and italic small caps. Fonts contains a range of opentype features.

Museum Fournier is inspired by a set of Rococo capitals designed by Pierre Simon Fournier le Jeune circa 1760. The matrices are part of a set imported to Sweden by J.P. Lindh in 1818 from Breitkopf & Härtel in Leipzig, Germany. They are now in the Nordiska Museum in Stockholm. Type designer Torbjörn Olsson has expanded the original 31 lead matrices in the collection to 55 characters. Please note that the font contains capitals only, no lower case letters and no figures either. Museum Fournier is an OpenType creation, for both PC and Mac. Swedish type foundry T4 premiere new fonts every month. Museum Fournier is our ninth introduction. Museum Fournier is part of the growing Museum type family. Museum also includes three different border fonts, an ornament font with some of Granjon's arabesques and Museum Tertia Cursive, an exquisite 1700's typeface with modern additions.

This late 19th century design conjures up early 20th century Dutch DeStijl lettering with a mostly strict adherence to right angles and minimal stroke modulation. Geometric began its life as a metal typeface from the Central Type Foundry, circa 1884. Soon after, this design was officially licensed to Morgans & Wilcox and was shown in their 1890 catalog in Regular, Light and Condensed Light variations. After acquiring Morgans & Wilcox, Hamilton Manufacturing offered Geometric Light Face Condensed as their own No 3020 and the Geometric Light Face as No 3021. HWT Geometric has been expanded digitally to include a Regular Condensed version. A heavier wood type specimen was found from an unknown manufacturer and digitized as it was found, resulting in the HWT Geometric Shopworn and Shopworn Inked variations. These digital versions all include a full Western and Central European character set of over 380 glyphs.

SchmalfetteCP is the result of another collaboration between designers Jason Walcott and Rob King. King suggested that Walcott revive this wonderful and somewhat forgotten sans serif typeface from the mid 1950s. Originally designed by Walter Haettenschweiler in 1954, Schmalfette Grotesk was used for many years in the German magazine "Twen". The typeface was notoriously hard to acquire at the time and graphic designers in the USA often resorted to cutting letters from the Twen magazines and reusing them in their own designs. Later, when digital type came along several typefaces very similar were created that claimed to be digital revivals of Schmalfette Grotesk. However, they are actually only loosely based on the original. The proportions are different and in some cases a lower case was added. The original font was all caps. At Rob King's suggestion, Jason Walcott has strived to recreate the most faithful digital revival possible of the original Schmalfette Grotesk with the new version of SchmalfetteCP. In some cases small changes were made to accommodate today's digital needs (e.g. web fonts), but anyone who has ever searched for this typeface now has a version available that most closely resembles Haettenschweiler's original work. Schmalfette CP comes in OpenType format in both .ttf and .otf files and offers support for all Latin based and Eastern European languages.
