This font started life in 1893 at the Boston Type Foundry, but was also cast at the Central Type Foundry. Both were members of the ATF combine formed in 1892. Like so many interesting fonts of its day, it was issued without a lowercase, limiting its use to display headlines. Sometime in the early 1990s, we designed a lowercase to go with it.

Way back in 1996, three student letterers went into the forest looking for the mysterious fonts used to letter Spawn: Blood & Shadows. They never returned. A year later, these fonts were found. This hand-lettered italic casual is another versatile font produced by Jeff Marshall, aptly named “Flick” due to its off the brush casual feel. This style was a work horse back in the day where it was used on cafe menu boards through to regulation lettering on trucks and aircraft.

To design the font Toppo I was inspired by a You And Me Monthly published by National Magazines Publisher RSW Prasa that appeared from Mai 1960 till December 1973 in Poland. This family contains 6 different styles. In the Toppo family, every variety contains 3 alternative characters with automatic replacement.

The opening title for the 1962 Blake Edwards film "Days of Wine and Roses" [starring Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick] was the inspiration for Cocktail Hour JNL. Adding to the playfulness of this font, the characters float above the baseline. Cocktail Hour JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Axteroid was made to look like something that was teleported from a computergame from way-back in the 80s. Spiraltwists is a family of 2 fonts giving assorted spiral shapes. In each font they're grouped in fours - the same basic spiral in 4 different orientations (N S E W almost), and Spiraltwists has solid lines making up the spirals, Spiraltwists Antique has dotted lines making up the spirals, giving them an antique or rustic appearance. Spiraltwists has heavier spirals on Upper Case, lighter spirals on lower case; plus a group of spirals with a straightened outer end and connecting lines so you get two spiral scrolls joined together by a long line at the top or bottom.
