Inspired by early cool cartoon fonts, early rock and hippie posters, I created the casual 'DT Stoner Toon' font. Then by adding strategic dots to add a little more quirkiness to the mix, I came up with this organic 'DT Sticky Stones' font. Please use with contextual ligatures turned on when possible. These letters like to adapt to their neighbours.

The Dragon Quill family is the 3rd reincarnation of earlier (yet to be released) dragon fonts. A simple 'Dragon Round' grew to become 'Dragon Flare', then evolved to become 'Dragon Quill'. Within the Dragon Quill family, 1 'Subtle Goth' is the most basic, followed by 2 'Goth' and 3 'Gothic'. 4 'Tribal Tattoo' is the most complex font in the family, adding hooks, spikes, holes and extra shapes around and between letters. Because of the complexity of level 4 'Tribal Tattoo', occasionally inserting letters into existing text may cause some unusual effects between the letters. If you find this distracting, a workaround can be to convert it into one of the other fonts (like Subtle Goth), while editing, then to turn it back into 'Tribal Tattoo' when finished.

Hand Draft is hand crafted to emulate both the early printer’s serif font and/or a hand-drawn version of an early Serif font, using either a felt or round nibbed pen. Carefully designed to recreate a sturdy Sans Serif font with just the right amount of artistic imperfection, in three styles: outlined, hatched, and solid. A little funky and slightly grungy, this hand-drawn font is intentionally not quite perfectly rendered.

DT Squished Stuff is a font made for fun. This uneven simple blocky sans-serif font has wonky letters that adapt automatically and change shape to fit against their neighbours. Use with contextual ligatures turned on to allow Squished Stuff to operate correctly. If a particular letter decides to do something that you don’t want it to, turn ‘contextual ligatures’ off for that letter. But do remember to turn it back on afterwards. This font lives and breathes when ‘contextual ligatures’ are turned on. Also, there are easter eggs and quirky surprises hidden inside. Watch it squish and move to fit together. In Greek mythology, Argo was the ship on which Jason and the Argonauts sailed from Iolcos to Colchis to retrieve the Golden Fleece. Designed by Les Usherwood. Argus is a flared serif font family. Its analog form was designed by Les Usherwood (Typsettra) in the 1980’s, and Paul Hickson (P&P Hickson) and Steve Jackaman (ITF) designed the digital version exclusively for the Red Rooster Collection in 1992. Argus is an expressive, graceful typeface that was inspired by Baroque typography. Its diamond-shaped punctuation shares similarities with other glyphic typefaces, such as Arthur Baker’s ‘Baker Signet.’ The font family gives a beautiful gravitas to any project, whether it be packaging, motion picture, or magazines.

Argot is inspired by condensed grotesque letterforms and would be a monolinear sans except for an unorthodox disparity between inner and outer shapes. Elegantly curved outlines contrast starkly with austere rectangular counters, suggesting a no-frills functionality, 20th century modernism, or an unsettling discordance. The squared off inner spaces also add clarity and crispness. Argot is available in three widths — Wide, Normal and Narrow. Each width is supplied in three weights — Regular, Bold and Black — with corresponding italics (obliques).

‘Skiart Serif Mini’ is now available online. Originally inspired by the san serif font ‘Skia’ by Mathew Carter for Apple. ‘Skiart’ was designed to feel more like a serifed font, but without any serifs. It took a step between sans serif and serif fonts. Next on the path towards a serif font comes Skiart Serif Mini, with tiny serifs added. This is a true serif font, all be it on the small side. It remains fully readable and feels as clean and normal as any of the best body copy serifs, and yet still has the strong solid bones of all the other Skiart font familys. If compared to one of the more commonly used serifs like ‘Times New Roman’, the ‘Skiart Serif Mini’ lowercase is more open with a taller x-height, increasing its readability and friendliness. The serifs are smaller and less distracting. They are not pretending to be ligatures. Where ‘Times’ makes its p q b d forms out of a barely touching oval and stem, the ‘Serif Mini’ forms are much more firmly attached, appearing clearly as single letters. The standard setting for the g’s are round single storied, (the italic a’s are also), feeling warmer and more inviting in the ‘Serif Mini’ font. Much more friendly than the stuffy double storied versions in fonts such as ‘Times’ etc.

Originally inspired by the san serif font ‘Skia’ by Mathew Carter for Apple. ‘Skiart’ was designed to feel more like a serifed font, but without any serifs. It took a step between sans serif and serif fonts. Next on the path towards a serif font came Skiart Serif Mini, with tiny serifs added. This was a true serif font, although they were subtle. This font ‘Skiart Serif Leaf’ is the next in the series. After many reiterations, ‘Skiart Serif Leaf’ was built and rebuilt many times until finally, this version deserved to be presented to the world. Style and flow had been added to this font. It remained fully readable and feels as clean and normal as any of the best body copy serifs, and yet has an original modern flair to it. The font feels strong and solid while having a subtle organic flow in its form. If compared to one of the more commonly used serifs like ‘Times New Roman’, the ‘Skiart Serif Leaf’ lowercase is more open with a taller x-height, increasing its readability and friendliness. Regulaire is my laid back comic font, inspired by graffiti and my everyday regular handwriting. Works quite nice for kids products, comics, party posters - or anything that needs a casual comic look!
