Isle Body is a high-quality serif typeface family, drawn by Måns Grebäck during 2018 and 2019. It is a sweet font with a casual and calm look, with generous spacing and an even weight, adapted for body texts and small sized type settings. It comes in four weights, each one as italic, totaling in eight styles: Light and Light Italic, Medium and Medium Italic, Bold and Bold Italic, Black and Black Italic. African fonts are characterised by design considerations that differ from those of Europe and the Americas. At one extreme we have a relaxed and casual approach to life that values the quality of each moment in life far more than people do in the west. There are many handwriting fonts out there, almost all of them tending to highlight the individuality of a particular person's handwriting. I wanted to go beyond this. What I've always wanted was to write in an elegant, casual yet legible style: something which my own hand often refuses to do. So I set out to produce the handwriting of my dreams - this font. While it doesn't match my dreams 100%, it certainly comes close! Affable comes in three styles, Affable Regular, Affable Blak and Affable Lite. Right now it is melon time: the supermarkets are full of them: Galia, Honey Dew, Piel de Sapo… Back in Casa Hanoded we're quite happy with the abundance of melons! Probably one of the most unusual applications of a stencil took place in 1964 when Union Carbide [then-owner of the still-new line of "Glad" brand plastic wrap and storage bags] sponsored a $100,000 contest to match up a stencil of their logo in order to win a prize. The magazine ad told of how one thousand lucky participants would win $100 by simply taking a die-cut stencil of the brand name to the store and overlaying it on the logo printed on the food wrap box to see if it aligned perfectly. The hand-lettered title proclaiming "match the stencil and win" was done in a casual sans design and reflected the cheerfulness of many typestyles found in ads during the late 50s and early 60s.

This extremely heavy informal script was created in the early 1920s by Lucian Bernhard. Like so many of his designs, this typeface has its roots in his earlier poster work.
