Meleo is a semiserif consisting of 10 fonts with a few original quirks but still very legible at both text and display sizes. Since its conception, the aim was a balance of uniqueness and functionality. The typeface owes its energy to the slight suggestion of calligraphic crafting and humanist structure. But it also breaks the rules: a small x-height and a whimsical uppercase with resemblance to the lowercase may render Meleo more friendly than a conventional (semi-)serif. Titles and texts of moderate length, like those found on websites, flyers and packaging, are the natural habitat of Meleo, but it may as well thrive under different settings. Meleo supports most of western-european latin languages which are included in the ISO-Adobe character set.

Mouser has been an ongoing project that originated as a geometric sans of the same name before morphing into a similar, but entirely different family called TypoGraphica. It retains much of its earlier character such as limited contrast, high legibility, and tight spacing. Major changes were made for a simplistic, more cohesive look. This was done to maximize its usefulness for body text while keeping characteristics used for display purposes. Slices to top strokes are much more subtle with styling dialed down to a minimum. Chamberí is designed to be Vogue España's bestpoke typeface. An ambitious typographic branding project made for one of the most iconic magazine headers of the world, it defines the Spanish edition’s personality through a blending of the functionality of XIX Century Modern Romans (also known as “Scotch" typefaces) and the gestural expressiveness of typographic Baroque. Chamberí is a peculiar combination of the rational and the delicate, the sturdy and the feminine. The family is organised in a broad spectrum of 56 variants in which the transition from the restrained text version to the flamboyant, elegant display is modulated by contrast. The family is organised in seven weights: from Extra Light to Black, plus four optical sizes : Text, Headline, Display and Superdisplay. All this with its own Italics, Small Caps and Old Style Figures, besides the due refinement to resolve any editorial and communicative requirement.

Patent Reclame manages to be light-hearted, while clearly showing its blackletter roots both in the shape of the individual letters and the rhythm of text on a page. The designer is unknown. Schriftgeisserei Flinsch of Frankfurt a.M. cast the face around 1895. Nicolete Gray shows a quite similar face called “Graphic,” from Stephenson Blake in 1896. Personally, I don't think that Patent Reclame looks like an English design, but I do not have any proof one way or the other. The numbers are proportional, intended for posters, not spreadsheets. Two ornaments are included, an art nouveau rose at #172 and a lilypad with long tendril at #177. Great for invitations, posters and flyers announcing fun events. Do not use for obituaries. Quite readable in smaller sizes for short blocks of text. I really like the buoyant quality -- a nice combination of discipline and enthusiasm.
