P22 Albemarle is a smooth reworking of the popular rough textured Roanoke font. The texture change gives this style a much more elegant effect, yet retains its skilled capturing of historical handwriting. Bill Rigney, an old job printer in my home town, established his shop in 1896, closed it in 1900 to take a steady job, stored the equipment in a large shed, and reopened for business upon his retirement in 1950. What a find! A bonanza of old type! We became good friends and upon his death I bought the type. Bless you Bill.

Positive Vibe JNL is a meeting of two eras... The model for this font was Jeff Levine's Two Reeler JNL, modeled after title cards in a Charlie Chaplin movie from the beginning of the 1900s. With a few stroke weight shifts, this versatile font takes on the image of the "Peace and Love" generation of the mid-60s and early 70s.

Uberschrift is an elegant display font for creating expressive headlines or logos. The font contains only capital letters, but comes with 200 discretionary ligatures and several alternate characters. Check out the type specimen PDF for more details and a closer look at the typeface. To access the ligatures you need to use an OpenType-savvy app that supports discretionary ligatures.

In their circa 1900 specimen catalog, Barnhard Brothers and Spindler called this typeface "Samoa", suggesting exotic locales. On the other hand, it also suggests some serious fun, and is named in honor of British artist Dudley Hardy, whose posters used a very similar typeface extensively. Both versions of this font include the complete Unicode Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.

I have always enjoyed this typeface and have had fond memories from the time I originally drew its predecessor, Kari. Now with almost 100 new ligatures, alternate and swash characters, Kari Pro has a great deal more personality and versatility. Subsets from the original Kari have been integrated into each unified weight adding both lining and hanging (oldstyle) numerals as options as well.

A playful, casual take on round nib pen lettering was spotted amongst some online scans from an old lettering book. The free-form and stylized shapes of the letters and numbers are reminiscent of old-time show cards, movie titles and signage in vogue around the early 1900s through the 1920s. Type books and lettering manuals of the 1900s were resplendent with examples of chamfered type faces, as this was a popular and simple style of lettering that was easy to reproduce with little effort. Poster Chamfer JNL is one such example taken from one of these turn-of-the-century publications that exemplifies the style as a condensed version of the letters.

Sancoale Narrow is a carefully honed and meticulously crafted new family member for the Sancoale series. Sancoale Narrow has been specially designed to allow for even more versatility for the Sancoale Family. Sancoale Narrow continues with Sancoale's successful simple, geometric and legible structure. It is a contemporary design that is distinctive and unique. This new narrow addition can be used in conjunction with the original Sancoale, but it can also stand on its own. Narrow type comes in a handy in a myriad of situations, from poster design to book covers, web pages to editorial layouts. Sancoale Narrow's six weights make for a typeface family that is very useful for many applications, and also includes a set of true italics. Eksperiment is danish for experiment. Without much guessing or knowledge to danish, you probably already knew that! I like those danish words containing a "k" - is it because my name is spelled with a "k"? I don't know - maybe it's because it kind of represents the danish language, which is full of words with "k"s. Anyway, the reason for the name is that I wanted a font looking like it had gone through tough times, a bad copy machine and perhaps even crumpled paper...but the experiment is that the font is 100% made using digital media. I used my MacBook and my iPad creating this font. I find it quite amusing, that something 100% digital looks like something organic. I've added 5 different versions of each letter, which is really helpful when working with grunge fonts. It looks more natural, when the same letter rarely repeats itself.

Colette is an inky handwritten script font designed to be easy to read and easy to use. Colette includes alternates and OpenType ligatures such as double letters or alternates glyphs that you can use to improve your designs and make them look natural and friendly. We also designed a Filled version (you can mix Colette and Colette Filled to give you more design options) and an Inside version (To do so, you can simply superimpose the layers with a compatible software like Photoshop, the weight above and the inside below, then choose a color for each).
