Clairveaux is based on samples of an ornate 12th century calligraphic style. It has some interesting features, including small caps which combine some characteristics of both traditional upper and lower cae character forms. It's ornate enough to look decorative, but not overwhelmingly complex, and looks remarkably attractive when used for titles in a large size.

March may be a good time to use this typeface. PattyDay is a caps-only typeface in which the letters are decorated with shamrocks or clovers. Some but not all of the lower-case letters are different from the upper-case letters. If you want a version of this face without the shamrocks, try Ingone.

Versals is based on Lombardic style letters which are sufficiently broad to allow for decorated piercing and flourishes. They may also form the basis of illuminated capitals. Four fonts entirely of decorative initials of which the uppercase basic letters of RMU Initials One are occupied by Walthari initials, the lowercase ones by Eckmann initials, both released first by Rudhard’sche Gießerei, Offenbach, Germany, about 1900. RMU Initials Two consists of Jubilaeumsinitialen in the uppercases and Augsburger Initialen in the lowercases. RMU Initials Three comes with floral ornaments, whereby the lowercase initials can be colorized by yourself due to non-joining elements. RMU Initials Four consists of hand drawn initials by Rudolf Koch and letters of a former Klingspor font called Queen.

Conceived on a cold evening to the hot Jazz of the Eri Yamamoto Trio at Arthur’s Tavern in the Village, font Molly Louie is best described by the person for whom it was named. “Very intricate, like a whole little world in each of them” and “The solid is nice too, like little cut up sandwiches.” The detailed and solid versions facilitate a variety of two-color applications. You might not use this decorative display font at smaller sizes, but you are encouraged to let your imagination guide you.

When designing a font, I often imagine how I think it should be used or where I'd be likely to see it out in the real world. With Barataria I envisioned it on decorative, antique-looking signs hanging outside shops in the French Quarter of New Orleans - hence the name. Barataria is based on samples of 1920s period poster lettering. It's a bold, heavy roman font with strong, rounded character forms. Barataria also has some unique alternative character forms, like the super-looped 'g' shown in the sample.

On the Town JNL is a reworking of Parks Department JNL, giving it a classic "solid black Art Deco treatment". The wide monoline font of the original design was inspired by hand lettering on a WPA (Works Progress Administration) poster. Astrum Heart is a very decorative script font using elegant caligraphic handwritten letters, that are all mutually interconnected, creating a unique look & feel of a personalized human handwritting.
