Marisco is Portuguese for shellfish. The font arose from the forms of classic tattoo types, especially those of mid-twentieth-century sailors, but it also has something of a nineteenth-century poster type flavor to it. Its main application is display type and poster design.

Romper is a slightly narrow handwritten sans in four weights and it is perfect if you want to convey a casual and friendly feel. It was designed with the idea to be used on comic books, mobile applications and children’s books, thus it has a Dancing Baseline version (Romper DB) and a Slanted version (each of them in four weights as well). The family is equipped with 450+ glyphs, has Latin Extended and Cyrillic Support (both Russian and Bulgarian) and a lovely set of extras. The family includes a lot of discretionary ligatures and alternate letters for more variety in the design. Overall, Romper is cute, amiable and really versatile, so it will fit most applications - think greeting cards, menus, merchandise, books, packaging, websites, etc.

Inspired by an Austrian artist Erwin Wurm's Fat series, Erwin is a typeface that evokes visual associations of overeating letters, giving the impression of letters on the brink of bursting. This design seamlessly combines an analog sensibility with a bold touch. Erwin is a typeface with a sense of fragility and vulnerability, deeply rooted in analog emotions. Each character is not derived from a model but crafted through a hand-drawing process, making every letter a unique and independent form. Erwin underwent a handwriting process but doesn't exhibit an overtly hand-drawn style. Instead, it is a unique display typeface, featuring artistic, comic-style, and humorous elements.

Tall, thin and elegant, Marian Churchland’s fonts are very much like her.. and now available from those awfully nice chaps at Comicraft to allow you to pretend that you are too! Marian Churchland was born in Canada in 1982, and was raised on a strict diet of fine literature and epic fantasy video games. She has a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies (English Literature and Visual Arts) from the University of British Columbia, and has been doing professional illustration work, including book covers and magazine articles, since she was 17. Last year, she became the first woman to solo-illustrate a CONAN story, and this year she’s illustrating three issues of ELEPHANTMEN for Image Comics.
