You wrote on your school notebooks, didn't you. Of course, just about everyone did. And those that didn't are probably in therapy trying to overcome the repression and guilt. Balloon letters are fun, easy to draw and have a light-hearted presence. With little autonomy, what young person can resist the opportunity to make a public, personal statement on their notebook. Guess what! Adults do it too - with our cars, our houses, our toys, our accessories and so on. And how "grown-up" are we really? Anyway, my niece, Cori, made this nice, colorful, hand-drawn birthday card. It was so vibrant and fun - in warm circus colors - that I could not resist making it into a font. Use it for positive, fun stuff, stuff with a light touch - an invitation for an informal party perhaps, but probably not a formal dinner at the White House. This font is not comfortable in a bowtie. But don't be fooled. Casual as Cori is, you can set at least twelve major European languages with it, in addition to English: Albanian, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish. Cori Valentine adds a decorative Valentine border to the upper case of Cori. By leaving out the bow in the upper center of the border we were able to fit the border around the accented caps. Similarly, we omitted the butterfly for the Ccedilla glyph. Blank versions of the regular border & the bowless border are provided at positions 135 & 137 in case you want to put a border around your signature or something like that. Just for reference, the letterforms for Cori Valentine are 75% the size as the regular Cori font. We would like to assure you that it is permissible to use Cori Valentine to create a romantic card, flyer or note during any month with less the 32 days.

Freehand 471 is the Bitstream version of Cascade Script by Matthew Carter. Released by Mergenthaler Linotype in 1965, this design is based on an earlier type by the Ludlow foundry. It's a dark, disconnected script with angular forms. It seems written by heavy marker and thus suitable for informal posters and signage and for advertising and display typography as well. Central European, Cyrillic, and Greek Monotonic characters were designed by Oleg Karpinsky. Released by ParaType in 2011.

BRIGNELL BIG is a two font family designed by Ian Brignell. Bold and honest, it approaches like a dare: Go Big no regrets. Realgar is a generic and neutral typeface but with enough personality to be different, but not as much to be unfamiliar. Calypso I (Italian) draws its inspiration from type founders' plentiful show-off-letters, which were typical on title pages and lithographs in the early 19th century. It borrows luscious details from these but inherits a stiff modern backbone from its parent, Calypso E (Egyptian). Within the Calypso type family all fonts share the same dimensions and work together consistently. Calypso I supports many languages and includes, for example, four sets of basic numerals, circled numbers, alternative characters, case sensitive forms and dingbats. ITC Jiggery Pokery is the work of British freelance designer Carol Kemp. ITC Jiggery Pokery evolved from lettering for a project which needed to be quirky, wacky and fun," says Kemp. "The name came to me as the letters appear to jig along - it just seemed to fit. 'Jiggery Pokery' is London Cockney slang which has a variety of meanings. It's used to describe behavior such as 'ducking and diving', trickery, juggling (especially of financial matters!), or 'hanky panky'. My grandparents were Cockneys, and my uncle would use colourful rhyming slang which I loved to hear as a child.""

East Variable is a condensed sans serif typeface. It is timeless, but with a subtle nostalgia of vintage jazz albums, film titles, newspapers, and signage. The light weight has excellent legibility at small sizes. The Extra Bold weight will capture attention. East is versatile, but would be a good choice for film titles, labels, publications, or any context where space is limited. It has variable axes of weight and slant. Greene and Hollins of Wolverhampton were a rather smart gentleman’s outfitter, much frequented by my late grandfather and altogether redolent (in memory and actuality) of a bygone age of retail service and respect. I believe they’re out of business now, but we’re rather pleased to offer them this very small if rather random memorial. Greene and Hollins is a set of seven display typefaces, with uniform metrics, which can be overlaid to create multi-coloured ‘engraved’ effects. Also ideal to recreate traditional sign-writing, garment labels, signage and anything else where a period flare is required.

Here's a fun collection of cute, weird, crazy and goofy drawings. They are all drawn within a box, which makes it easy for you to align them in a grid, or perhaps make your own colouring book or picture lottery. The shapes of the drawings are typically simple: triangles, circles, squares etc. I use drawings like these in my work as a kindergarten teacher. These simple, but yet appealing drawings, are a great inspiration for kids (especially the ones who never draws or are insecure on how to draw) to start drawing themselves, or as a kickstarter for their imagination!
