Lookey Here JNL is an "Alphading" - a term coined by Jeffrey N. Levine to describe dingbat fonts containing both images and letters and/or numbers. This one - partially based on the classic "Kilroy" icon from the World War II era is a newer, cleaner reworking of one of Jeff's early freeware fonts. The typeface used inside the images is Casual Lunch JNL, so you can match this text for a particular project. Limited character set.

The Federal Art Project division of the WPA (Works Progress Administration) employed numerous artists, musicians, actors and other creative sorts in a effort to help many survive the Great Depression of the 1930s. One of the posters created by this project was for a "Card Party and Barter Benefit" with proceeds going toward the Nassau Art Teachers Benefit Fund - taking place at the Coca-Cola plant in Rockville Centre, New York. East Village JNL was derived from this poster, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

YomTov is a whimsical hebrew font. Traditional in design with a free spirit and slightly bounced. Hebrew alphabets contain 22 Hebrew letters along with five final letters which are automatically activated when used in Applications such as Apple Pages® and MicroSoft Word®. The Hebrew Letters do not contain cantillation marks very much used in everyday modern Hebrew. Designed with acomplete latin font that mirror the Hebrew letterforms. Latin lower-case letters have been replaced with smaller caps. Chutz is an audacious slanted typeface with horizontal contrast and horizontally oriented strokes developed for Jewish brand Chutzpah of the Feisty Foods company based in Brooklyn, New York. Frank-Rühl (or Ruehl) is the ubiquitous Hebrew text font style. There are many fonts that belong to this style, and all are based on an early 20th-century design by Raphael Frank. Some of the fonts are actually called Frank-Rühl (or Ruehl) and some are not. It was originally designed in a single weight. Bitstream developed Frank Ruehl for the Microsoft Windows operating system. The font is encoded with a Microsoft defined Hebrew character set, Hebrew Code Page 1255. Within the TrueType fonts, the characters are assigned Unicode character IDs. The font includes Hebrew characters, and Latin glyphs from Dutch 801 bold.

Mushin is a typeface, that comes with 14 fonts, roman and the matching italics, which draws inspiration from the grotesques of the beginning of the 20th century. However, its humanistic details and endings, remove the coldness so characteristic of this style, making Mushin a typeface of lively and dynamic curves, which can be used for various purposes.

I like Carrot Juice a lot. I don’t drink it that often (and I should, really), but nothing beats a freshly squeezed glass of cold carrot juice!! Carrot Juice font is a lovely script font: handmade with love (and a rather cheap Chinese brush pen which I bought online). In most cities during the 1950s and 1960s the corner pharmacy or soda shop was a mainstay of teenage life. It was a place to hang out with friends, hear the latest hits on the jukebox and indulge in everything sugary from malted milkshakes to banana splits. During this time, a popular form of window advertising was supplied by the Coca-Cola Company to promote its product being served by these locations. Specialty window decals designed to emulate drawn (raised) Venetian blinds "bookmarked" by the soda's logo were adhered to the shop's windows, with a space provided to add in customized lettering. The store's name or its specialties were applied to each window pane, and this formed a consistent border at the top of all of the shop's windows. Although few visual images exist of this specific bit of advertising nostalgia, an old record album by a late-1950s singer named Chip Fisher called "Chipper at the Sugar Bowl" provided a somewhat usable sample for what is now Soda Fountain JNL.

A Hebrew sans font inspired by the Latin letters of font Tahoma. Teom serves as a more polished and harmonious substitute for Tahoma's default Hebrew, and also as an independent and elegant Hebrew font for titles and short texts.

This font is styled after artwork from the cola signs of old. Signs that talked about "America's Sensation", with "Cool, Refreshing Taste" and other words of a bygone era, one with cane sugar and not corn syrup. Filled with a retro feeling of sophistication and playfulness, this font can be used in a variety of fashions.

Pantoufle is French for slipper. Not the flipflop variety (or thongs if you’re from Australia), but the one you wear indoors when it’s cold. I have some too; Spanish ones, made from recycled PET bottles. Here in Holland, we call them ‘Pantoffels’ and you don’t have to be a language expert to see the resemblance between the French and the Dutch word. That is because the French are probably more savvy when it comes to keeping your feet warm and the Dutch just borrowed the word, pronunciation and all! Pantoufle is a font I made with a big fat marker pen. My kids had used it to decorate some gifts for Sinterklaas (if you want to know what Sinterklaas is, look it up). Pantoufle comes with extensive language support and a full set of alternates for the lower case glyphs. Enjoy!
