P22 Zaner is based on ornamental penmanship from the turn of the 20th century. The Zaner font set includes four unique fonts that complement the other fonts in the set. Each font is available in PostScript and TrueType formats as well as OpenType which offers even more characters, options and overall functionality. Set options include PostScript and TrueType with a bonus set of extras and a “super” pro set containing over 3,000 characters. Zaner is perfect for wedding invitations and documents that require a touch of elegance.

This decorative font is based on Cyrillic Vyaz of XV-XVI centuries. This type of letters were used as display faces in sacred texts. In Vyaz, the letters are characteristically fitted to each other so the letter sequences look as one solid ornamental frieze. The font is rich in discretionary ligatures which help to accentuate the style of Vyaz. In addition to letters and standard characters there is a number of monograms and Christian symbols. These and other features are available in OTF format.

Fabrikat Kompakt (formally known as Fabrikat) is a type family designed by Christoph Koeberlin with creative input of Hannes von Döhren. The Sans Serif family is published by HVD Fonts and consists of seven weights plus matching italics. Its geometric design is based on German 20th century engineers’ typefaces and has a plain and precise appearance. The shapes are optically corrected, yet retain an uncut charm. They work best in display as well as text sizes. The type family is equipped for complex, professional typography with OpenType Features like alternate letters, arrows, fractions and an extended character set to support Central and Eastern European as well as Western European Languages.

Home Run Script has the formality of 18th-century English roundhands, narrow, tightly fitted and drawn in a very bold weight and inspired by my ITC Eclat font. The x-height is large, and the caps are simply drawn with minimal swashes. Its companion font Home Run Sanscript, sold separately also, has sans serif caps that enable the user to combine script and sanserif caps with the same slope. It has the same lowercase as Home Run Script with a few alternate characters and sans serif lining and Oldstyle figures. Both Young Finesse and Home Run include Richard Isbell’s “interrabang,” appropriately used for statements that are both interrogative and exclamatory.

The Flinscher family contains twenty display typefaces, in weights that vary from light to black, and widths that extend from condensed to expanded. The family’s design inspiration traces its roots to the early portion of the twentieth century. In essence, it is a calligraphic script typeface family with blackletter influences. The letter forms are decorative and distinctive, yet clear and easy to read, and in use set up a regular rhythm that leads the eye from character to character. The Flinscher typefaces are well suited to design work that needs to combine formality with fun. Just the thing for a certificate or a book cover!

Monolinear Vintage Elegance The Gimbel Script typeface was inspired by a monoline, semi-connected script from a 1930's holiday greeting card. From its ascenders and descenders that stretch high and low to its gentle curviness Gimbel Script exudes the elegance of a bygone era while standing on a thin line between formal and casual lettering styles. EquipCondensed is the matching complement for Equip and EquipExtended . With its 16 fonts it extends the Equip family to 48 styles. It not only works superbly as a contrasting face for the ‘normal’ Equip but due to its moderate width, it also performs brilliantly as a space saving typeface. EquipCondensed is very well suited for ambitious typography. The EquipCondensed family comes in OpenType format with extended language support. All weights contain semi-ligatures (design optimized single characters), proportional lining figures, tabular lining figures, proportional old style figures, lining old style figures, matching currency symbols, fraction- and scientific numerals and arrows.

Benton Modern was first prepared as a text face by Font Bureau for the Boston Globe and the Detroit Free Press. Design and proportions were taken from Morris Fuller Benton’s turn-of-the-century Century Expanded, drawn for ATF, faithfully reviving this epoch-making magazine and news text roman. Gerard Unger’s new typeface Alverata is a twenty-first-century type-face inspired by the shapes of romanesque capitals in inscriptions of the eleventh and twelfth centuries, without being a close imitation of them. It is additionally based on the early twentieth-century model, but tweaked so as to prevent blandness and monotony. Alverata performs beautifully in both screen and on paper, delivering excellent legibility. Its letters are open and friendly in small sizes and lively and attractive in large sizes. They are robust, and show refinement in their detail. It is an extensive type family, with versions for both formal and informal applications. Alverata consists of three different fonts: Alverata, Alverata Informal and Alverata Irregular, that variate in form and width, but maintain the same spirit. The ‘irregular’ version is particularly inspired by the Insular letterforms, the uncials, and their constantly changing positioning. Alverata PanEuropean includes Greek and Cyrillic relatives. The typeface strikes a balance among Europe’s diversity of languages, combining contemporary typographical practices with features of medieval letterforms, from the time when Europe came into being. Visually, some written languages, such as Czech and Maltese, differ quite strongly from languages like English and German, notably because of their many accented characters. While other typefaces will show this difference, Alverata removes it. As a result, Alverata enables harmonious convergence of languages.

The Kennedy family is a completely original design, inspired by lettering discovered by George during his exploration of 16th century cartography, some years ago. The charm exhibited by these beautiful artifacts is as much reflected in the letterforms they employ as in the drawing style or content they present. After familiarizing himself with the offerings of the various printing centers of that period, George began work on a design which he called Marconova. This design continued to evolve until it began to take on the look of Dutch Oldstyle typefaces of a later period. At this point George re-christened his work-in-progress Kennedy, and added the Book, Book Italic and Small Cap companion typefaces. Only a small trace of its design ancestry is evident in the resulting typeface family. There is enough, however, to make them a unique entry in the collection of distinguished contemporary designs.

Balgin brings back the nostalgic era of 90's. The 90’s were a magical time – a time of the Docs, Game Boys, and Cartoon. As everything that was once old is new again, the 90’s are making a come back. The basic of typeface are from geometric/basic shapes (Triangle, Square, Circle) form. Some character in Display font are modified, like 'R'K' stroke are more dynamic. and the tail of 'g' are more generic. It was the original work of fifteenth century designer Nicolas Jenson that formed the basis for this roman serif style developed by Ernst Detterer in 1923. Similar in spirit to other early twentieth century revivals such as Centaur, Cloister Old Style, and Italian Old Style, Nicolas Jenson is distinguished by its pristine and delicate nature. A gifted young apprentice to Detterer, Robert Hunter Middleton, greatly expanded the family. And by 1929, bold, italic, and open were part of the Ludlow Foundry’s beautiful Nicolas Jenson Series. It was reintroduced under a new name, Eusebius, in 1941. This digital version includes a new medium and extrabold weight with intermediate small caps and swash alternates throughout the family. There is also a regular expert version with a variety of currency symbols plus a regular petite caps (regular x-height small caps) and old style figures version. Nicolas Jenson is now available in the OpenType Std format. Small caps, old style figures, and swash alternates have all been combined into one style for ease of use. You will also find an additional regular petite caps version included with the regular style. Some new characters have been added as stylistic alternates and historical forms. These advanced features work in current versions of Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress. Check for OpenType advanced feature support in other applications as it gradually becomes available with upgrades.

Give your documents a sense of history. The study of the ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics has been an ongoing fascination by scholars and Egyptology buffs for literally centuries. The discovery of the Rosetta stone in 1799 provided an incredible breakthrough in deciphering the hieroglyphs, however there continues to be conflicting opinions on the literal translation of both the phonetic and ideographic symbols. As such, the interpretation provided in this manual represents an assembly of the most popular transcriptions. This series contains 62 assorted gods and deities as well as a few well known kings or pharaoh's from the New Dynasty. It is important to note that most of the gods and deities were represented in many different forms throughout the centuries and regions of Ancient Egypt, and these are but some of these representations. Atrium, designed by Alex Jacque, is a strong, linear, geometric sans-serif display typeface based off century-old pen art by W.E. Dennis. Atrium's stubbornly geometric letterforms are set off with a few softening flourishes on a few glyphs. It's sharp corners, straight verticals and horizontals make Atrium pack some punch when used in headlines, pull quotes, and logotypes. Atrium was released in 2012 in OpenType format and comes in three different weights: light, regular, and bold, with a regular and oblique version of each for a total of 6 styles in the family.

Kon Tiki Aloha is a font that celebrates the design style of mid 20th Century Hawaiian kitsch. This font was inspired by the ad poster of a popular 1960s Hawaiian themed attraction, and contains 120 alternate interlocking ligatures to give it a Polynesian feel. The ligatures can be found under the Discretionary Ligatures OT feature or added from the glyph palette. Jukebox fonts are available in OpenType .otf format and all fonts contain basic OpenType features as well as support for Latin-based and most Eastern European languages.
