You wrote on your school notebooks, didn't you. Of course, just about everyone did. And those that didn't are probably in therapy trying to overcome the repression and guilt. Balloon letters are fun, easy to draw and have a light-hearted presence. With little autonomy, what young person can resist the opportunity to make a public, personal statement on their notebook. Guess what! Adults do it too - with our cars, our houses, our toys, our accessories and so on. And how "grown-up" are we really? Anyway, my niece, Cori, made this nice, colorful, hand-drawn birthday card. It was so vibrant and fun - in warm circus colors - that I could not resist making it into a font. Use it for positive, fun stuff, stuff with a light touch - an invitation for an informal party perhaps, but probably not a formal dinner at the White House. This font is not comfortable in a bowtie. But don't be fooled. Casual as Cori is, you can set at least twelve major European languages with it, in addition to English: Albanian, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish. Cori Valentine adds a decorative Valentine border to the upper case of Cori. By leaving out the bow in the upper center of the border we were able to fit the border around the accented caps. Similarly, we omitted the butterfly for the Ccedilla glyph. Blank versions of the regular border & the bowless border are provided at positions 135 & 137 in case you want to put a border around your signature or something like that. Just for reference, the letterforms for Cori Valentine are 75% the size as the regular Cori font. We would like to assure you that it is permissible to use Cori Valentine to create a romantic card, flyer or note during any month with less the 32 days.

Delfino Script is a cool, connecting script that can appear both retro and contemporary. Curved on the outsides of strokes, and jagged inside, the forms look like an abstraction of strips of tape, folding and flowing, or even marker pen style lettering. This script is not created by any pen though - its forms are constructed, not painted. Typographic features like ink traps add sparkle to the text. OpenType features include ligatures, contextual alternates (for more realistic connections) and stylistic sets. Stylistic Set 1 changes certain upper case letters into forms more suited for all caps setting, although they can also be used freely with the lower case. Set 2 changes the r into a less scripty form and set 3 adds a connecting tail to the q. The ten font Turbinado™ Set was designed to be clear and easy to read with a friendly personality, ideal for advertising and packaging in both text and display settings. Included are three weights of brushed casual script, each with a dry version, two condensed all caps faces, another hand printed caps face and an Elements package with 100 brushed elements that include swashes, botanicals, shells, arrows, repeatable patterns and a few other doodads that play well with the fonts. Hadron is a fusion of gothic black letter and foundational letter forms. It has a heavy flat pen influence but is combined with more modern letter forms for increased legibility over that offered by black letter fonts. Unlike most black letter fonts, Hadron can be set all caps using the first level of caps. A basic design kernel based on the caps “O” and “H” was created first. These letter forms consist of an interplay between curves and straight lines with abrupt transitions and also possess some of the geometric crispness of a modern sans serif. The rest of the Hadron font was developed around this “O” and “H” kernel. This font could be used for any application requiring a formal black letter or foundational lettering look. Hadron could also be used for invitations, brochures and posters. The first level of caps and lower case is basic enough to set a large body of text. It could also be set all caps at that level.

Tusque is a layered chromatic type family with a Tuscan flavor. Regular, Circus and Tooled can stand alone, while Highlight and Deco are purely for layering up multicolored gorgeousness. Although it’s all caps, the lower case slots are all different from the upper case so you can mix and match to your heart’s content. There are also a bevy of swash alternates and ligatures at your disposal. The contextual alternates feature cleverly substitutes alternate versions of more triangular glyphs like A and V to give a better fit. The ordinal feature changes ‘a’ and ‘o’ to the feminine and masculine ordinals for Spanish etc. but also changes ‘c’ and ‘ac’ to superscript lowercase versions for names like McBride and MacDonald.

Pinkus is a nice, uncomplicated serif font. It was hand drawn on plain white copy paper, hence the roughness. Pinkus is an all-caps affair, but upper and lower case letters can be interchanged. Pinkus can be used on posters, postcards, books, magazines and whatever else you fancy. Enjoy!
