Popty Ping is Welsh slang for microwave oven. It literally means ‘oven that goes ping’. Popty Ping was sort of based on an older font of mine called Jambo. It is a very happy cartoon font, ideal for children’s book covers, ice cream packaging and microwave popcorn (preferably the non GM kind). Comes in two great styles and more diacritics than you can pop in an oven!

One in the series of fonts called Whiz-Bang Wood Type, intended to be set large and tight. Dime Box is bold and boxy, and creates an interesting visual flow with its notched serifs. Named after a small town in Texas. Both versions of this font contain the Unicode 1252 Latin and Unicode 1250 Central European character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

The Ladislav font revitalises Sutnar’s legacy, while not explicitly copying any of his original fonts. It however keeps true to their technicist character and initial principles of character creation - a simple modular system of combined geometrical segments. This approach affects all round shapes of capital and lowercase letters, as well as the shapes of the majority of numbers.

Andron 1 Alchemical offers about 170 alchemical and astrological characters in a sophisticated and mature typographical style. For our modern/futuristic fonts collection we wanted something truly science fictional, so Dave Nalle designed the Alecto font, an original design with a futuristic look, but some echoes of the type designs and lettering of the Arts & Crafts period. It looks much more modern, but you can see echoes of some of our other fonts like Semiramis in the design. Alecto features multiple versions of many of the characters to make it ideal for designing logos and titles.

This is the companion sans family to make the Librum serif families work as well as they do. By companion, I do mean stylistically compatible. But mainly, they have the same vertical metrics. So they work very well for run-in heads, inline character styles, and all the rest of the needs in large books with complex formatting. They are designed for use in InDesign, and they work very well in that environment. The fonts use the same OpenType feature files as the rest of the Librum families. The feature files for the italic and bold are more limited—as I have rarely used things like that [over the past 20+ years]. The character shapes are a bit whimsical. The original ancestor of this book design sans was a very playful font I released as Aerle. It’s been calmed down a lot but is still loose and friendly. In his book Showcard Alphabets, Dan X. Solo called this little gem "Whitestone Scrawl". This version is beefed up slightly and the letter proportions have been altered somewhat, but it's still LOADS of fun. Morro is based on simple geometric shapes – circles, triangles and rectangles. Imagine cutting circles, triangels and rectangles from paper and arranging them into letters where the outer edges form a filled figure. Arranging figures like this to form letters is nothing unique. You can find several beautiful examples of alphabets that inspired the creation of Morro. Everywhere from a 1936 booklet by Draughtsman called ”Modern lettering for all branches of commercial arts” to obvious examples is from the paragon of the design industry - Milton Glaser - with his typeface Baby Teeth.
