The letters in Bouncer are round because they all begin as a ball and then have parts of the ball cut away. Bouncer was one of the earliest typefaces from Ingrimayne Type. Lower-case letters are smaller versions of the upper-case letters. BouncerTwo, designed twenty years after the original Bouncer, continues playing with the idea of making letters by cutting out parts of a circle, but in this case the circles are interlocking. All letters are upper-case but some of those on the lower-case keys differ from those on the upper-case keys. BouncerTwo is eye-catching but not highly legible.

After the success of our best-selling Mr Black, we decided to once more use my grandfather’s dry transfer lettering sheets. My grandfather was a Polish military cartographer and he left us some used-up sheets. The letters didn't transfer so well but we liked the way they were damaged. Mr Tiger has upper- and lowercase characters with up to four alternate glyphs. First three variations are only slightly damaged but the fourth one is usually more distorted. All of the glyphs have a very high resolution so they can be used in a large scale and they will still look great. One of the best things in Mr Tiger is the OpenType Contextual Alternates feature. It will automatically set alternate glyphs depending on frequency of appearance of the same character. The script doesn’t throw random glyphs. For example in the word “HIPPOPOTAMUS” you will automatically get three different “P” glyphs and two “O” glyphs. It really works great but of course you can always fine tune it by hand.

This design incorporates different styles into a consistent look. A pinch of script, a little of geometric and some humanistic shapes as well create a very distinguishable sans-serif. The mid-late 80s was the era of the post-modernism and fancy-decorative design especially in Japan In other words, it was the mixture of superficial form-operation and girly taste. This curious design movement vanished without a trace in the 90s, but it had its moments. Tokyo Olive has voluminous and simple geometric skeleton (for post-modern) with rounded and craft-style stencil joints (for fancy decoration). We added a classic open style as a little spice. The mixture of those essences makes new impression we have never seen before. Tokyo Olive family consists of 5 styles for stacking color font. Please use Photoshop or Illustrator, or your favorite graphic design apps that can handle layers. Layers are the printing plates of wood type. You should be able to change text color for each layer.
