Additional Latin spacing is added to match an overall open-looking Arabic and is further maintained by a careful implementation of a typical Latin font kerning process. The design of this font family, including metrics and dimensions, was intended to make its Latin harmonize with other Arabetics foundry fonts. Linotype Graphena is part of the Take Type Library, selected from the contestants of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. It is a handwriting font designed by the Italian artist Giancarlo Barison. Consciously irregular and erratic, the letters dance across a page, large and small, tilted and erect. Linotype Graphena could be described as angular, restless, even mischievous. It should be set in point sizes no smaller than 12 and is best used for headlines and displays.

My intent in designing Young Gallant was to create as simple and elegant a formal script as possible. It was developed to illustrate my new book Learning Curves discussing the essence of formal script.

Earlier this year, my eyes fell upon a discarded wedding invitation on the sidewalk. A closer look at it revealed that it had at one point been victimized by rain. Some of the fancy script letters were not quite broken, but sort of melted and run-down, while the rest were still somewhat intact. That's how Scroll was conceived, as an idea for a script where thicks and thins blend to produce a wet appearance. Unlike most available broken scripts, the Scroll script was originally drawn in its own juiced context, and not based on any existing script. This font is great for atmospheric antiquity, deep natural poetry, still life captioning, gothic music posters and collateral, or horror literature and poetry covers.

Big Fish is a low contrast Script and Slanted Casuals with bold characters. Big Fish has three weights of Script and a set of Extras that can be used as themselves or combined with script charters for custom swashes. Linotype Agogo is part of the Take Type Library, chosen from the contestants of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. Designed by British artist Ed Bugg, the font is reminiscent of the elegant 1920s and 1930s. It is a calligraphy font with five weights, one regular and four swash. The regular weight alone is clear and legible enough even for longer texts, although when used with swash characters, the texts should be shorter or headlines.

Is it blood, melted ice, water or something slimy? Choose yourself, because Bloody Charm can be used for all purposed that needs something either scary or melting. I've added two versions: Regular and Drips. The Drips versions is (you may have guessed it already!) a bit more drippy than the regular version. Both versions uses contextual alternates, which in this case means that there is 3 different versions of all lowercase letters - and these automatically cycles as you type!

We were marveling one day at a colleague's handwriting. We noticed that it managed all at once to be casual and modern looking, yet admirably regular and legible as well. We took a few specimens of their writing as the inspiration for 'Sophie J', a family of two typefaces offered in regular and bold weights. Sophie J is ideal for posters, fun party invitations and anything else where a feeling of friendliness and warmth is required.

Rudge is an intentionally rough sans-serif font. It was designed to share the look and feel of many “antique” fonts, although it lacks the standard serif look of those fonts. The corners are slightly rounded, the edges are wobbly, and the kerning is tight. It could be used as a faux “sloppy printing” font or just a more regularized hand-drawn font. The new Declaration font set from P22 features two lettering fonts based on the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America. A script font that features the look of classic 18th Century penmanship, with a slightly irregular edge, as found on documents made with ink quill pens on vellum or parchment.
