Alta California became designer steve mehallo's "vector-based artist's response" to the early Apple Macintosh bitmapped font San Francisco. Alta California was developed using "sampled" wood type and letters from numerous historical sources. The name comes from the Alta California newspaper, the first daily published in California, one of a dubious Barbary Coast nature, a sheet that shaped the bias of San Franciscans and attracted its own grade of reporters, including a printing specialist who went under the nom de plume Mark Twain. Alta California's edges were meticulously redrafted by hand, with letterpress-inspired fallout and 19th century pointing hands. The final collection of rough hewn letters jump, dive, fall, zag and zig. Alta California looks great on greeting cards, food packaging, as retail signage for boutiques, vintage stores or at D.I.Y. sales, on band posters or club cards, in and around historical quarters, or for use on any ransom note that needs to evoke a wild west look and feel.

Future Bugler Soft is a soft version of Future Bugler, a font based on the second logo created by Harry Warren in early 1975 for his sixth grade class newsletter, The Broadwater Bugler, at Broadwater Academy in Exmore, Virginia, on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. This font can convey several perspectives or moods. It can suggest a space-age vision of the future, or an art-deco perspective of the future as in the movie “Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow”. Doublethink was developed from lettering drawn in the 1960s by Vinko Ožić-Pajić and used on the shop fronts of Yugoslavian state-owned clothes company Standard Konfekcija. The original design has been reinterpreted and expanded and is offered as a two weight typeface—Doublethink Medium and Doublethink Bold Inline. Standard Konfekcija was established first as a military fabric company and later became the premier fashion brand outlet in the Communist state of Yugoslavia. It is famous for being the first shop in the country to offer plastic bags (Standard Konfekcija stores ceased trading after the fall of Communism).

The Fou typeface family was designed as an alternative to Trade Gothic condensed bold. During the design process of a normally wide font variant a system developed that responds to white space and changing proportions. Thus, round transitions become rectangular and vice versa, space is made and space is taken away. This system and the associated changes are continued on a model with semi-serifs. Fou can also be used as an alternative to Din or the wider Q-Type, but in comparison offers more room for emphasis with its italics, expert sets and numerous special characters.

Born in 1831, Hermann Berthold was the son of a calico-printer. On completion of his apprenticeship as a precision-instrument maker and after practical experience gained abroad in galvanography, Hermann Berthold founded his "Institute for Galvano Technology" in Berlin in 1858. Very quickly he discovered a method of producing circular lines from brass and not, as customary at that time, from lead or zinc. The soldering normally necessary could also be dispensed with. The lines were elastic and therefore highly durable. They produced outstandingly fine results. Most of German's letterpress printers and many printers abroad placed their orders with Berthold. His products became so popular that the print trade popularized the saying "As precise as Berthold brass". In 1878 Hermann Berthold was commissioned to put an end to the confusion of typographic systems of measurement. With the aid of Professor Foerster he succeeded in devising a basic unit of measurement (1m = 2,660 typographic points). This was the birth of the first generally binding system of typographic measurement. It is still used in the trade. Hermann Berthold served as the head of the Berthold type foundry until 1888.

DIN 2014 Stencil is a stencil version of DIN 2014 typeface inspired by signage, data plates and stencilled building inscriptions. The typeface has a pronounced industrial spirit and can be used in the most rigorous conditions. DIN 2014 Stencil family consists of 18 styles which include six weights (corresponding to DIN 2014) with three grades of 'stencilness' for each weight.
