Simpliciter Sans is a typeface based on the lettering used in the 20th century on technical drawings, either written by free hand or using templates. The lettering was made with a round pen, therefore all lines got rounded ends. All lines had the same thickness in uppercase, lowercase and small caps. The upright style was used on construction drawings and the italic style on machine drawings. The backslant style was used on maps for names of water bodies — seas, lakes, rivers etc. — and for water depth. Simpliciter Sans is primarily intended for texts on drawings, diagrams, charts and maps, but it can also be used for signs and labels. It also works surprisingly well as a body type in smaller sizes.

A new layered font family called The Hipton. Inspired from single strokes of gothic letters from signed paintings and made it layered. This is a collection of styles with a layered type system and many possible combinations and options. As a display typeface, The Hipton is suitable for headlines, logotypes, signs, posters, greeting cards, letterhead, t-shirts, and many more applications.

This jaunty display face was discovered in one of the many books on sign writing produced by Eric Matthews. The work was signed “King Cole", hence the font’s name. This typeface’s large x-height and tight spacing make it highly suitable for attention-grabbing headlines. Both versions of this font include the complete Unicode Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.

A full character set derived from an enamel hand painted sign on the Whitehouse lawn that contained the magic set of 9 characters or enough rudimentray styles elements to derive a complete character set. It's very round and boxy and is great for display and signage.

Kaunos creates eclectic and moderns structure by combining sansserif, slabserif and calligraphic elements in a single body. Kaunos designed by Mustafa Eren who is well accepted first typeface designer and calligraphy master by Turkey's Leraset catalog. Moonlight Serenade is a 1939 song composed by Glenn Miller, with lyrics by Mitchell Parish. Moonlight Serenade font is an all caps affair - very legible, very recognizable and very useful. Upper and lower case differ slightly and are quite happy to mingle. In the words of Mitchell Parish: I bring you and sing you a Moonlight Serenade! Comes with a universe of diacritics.

Sheet music featuring a song from the 1933 film "Torch Singer" starring Claudette Colbert was the basis for Dine and Dance JNL. A multi-line Art Deco design, it epitomizes both the typographic style and the night life of the time, when supper clubs featuring big bands were at their peak. Torch Singers were female vocalists who typically sang melancholy love songs of lost love and heartbreak.

Fukurō recalls diurnal and nocturnal birds of prey. It instills the cutting shapes, the wings, the movement of those animals and translate them into signs. The font experiments new shapes and contrasts that give to it some Japanese aspects.

Banzai Bros is a deadly efficient multidisciplinary all-caps assault font. It's highly recommended for posters, signs, flags & banners. Banzai Bros comes with a small set of ornaments. Available as a single font or in packs with other Fenotype fonts.

Oildale is a single weight, connecting script that explores the idea of using crossed strokes as the main body of the typeface. Designed as a display font, it’s bold form and unique appearance lend it a distinctive charm that can be used in branding, headlines or other titling. Featuring an extended Latin support covering a wide range of langages, it also includes a range of Opentype options, from a choice of numerals, ligatures or decorative, swash letters.

Amici means 'friends' and the Amici family was conceived as a big friendly Roman typeface for headings, posters, signs and anywhere else that an approachable easy-reading typeface is needed. It's the sort of thing you used to see in Magazine mastheads before everything went boringly sans serif. Three faces are offered within the family, Regular - solid and clear, Bold - with that bit more body and presence and italic - bringing in script elements to its design.

Based on Herbert Thannhaeuser's 1954 Kurier design, Puma is the digital version of what is possibly the friendliest yet least used heavy brush design. Aside from its utilitarian functionality as a poster and sign font, Puma includes some original and artistic shapes, such as the very gorgeous single-stroke take on the letter P, the humorous knot-and-dash Q, the happy fish-eye e, the casual single-looped f, and the welcoming g. Perfect for shop signs, posters, menu heads, children book covers, fun flyers, and loud but friendly messages altogether. The complete character set is complemented with a second font containing various letter alternates and ligatures.

Wood Body w/ Electric Heart & Synthetic Mind...

Pardesi font is named after a song from Raja Hindustani, a 1996 Bollywood movie directed by Dharmesh Darshan. The lead roles were played by Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor. Together they sing: 'Pardesi, pardesi, jaana nahi', meaning so much as: 'Foreigner, foreigner, don't go'. I remember this song very well, as I was backpacking through India and Nepal at the time and it was played over and over again on all long distance buses I took. Pardesi font is a fat, rounded, marker-pen font, ideal for books and posters. It comes with extensive language support.

Groches is a contemporary typeface. The typeface can span from a refined vintage feel to an industrial futuristic vibe. Forged from geometric and technical styles with wide characters, make this font type so strong and bold. Comes in two different styles, clean and rusty it brings a vintage touch to any creative project and elevates contemporary editorial layouts. Groches very suitable to use for headlines, sign, display, and logotype, or take it for a spin with short-form body copy.

Golemi Display is a reverse-contrast fat face font inspired by the Caslon Italian specimen from 1821. It is intentionally designed to keep its wood type feel—the overall chunky body with rounded junctures to imitate the old look. However, compared to its prototype, Golemi is redrawn to have smoother shapes with a modern look. Golemi Display is suitable for large applications, such as headlines for editorial design, branding, webpages, and environmental design. It is currently a single styled typeface disposed for extension.

A smooth contemplative Antiqua with aspiring to the sky ascenders, inspired by the Quietism philosophy. I've been working on a usable sans serif for body copy since the mid-1990s (though I certainly did not know it at the time). This one works well. It started life back in the mists of time as a scan of an old German font by Carl Fahrenwaldt. It was developed fully as a synergized serif with strong traditional roots and released as Bergsland Pro. Now it finally makes it to where I was headed all along as a sans text font. This is a well modulated humanist, sans serif font family with many OpenType features and over 600 characters: Caps, lower case, small caps, ligatures, swashes, small cap figures, old style figures, numerators, denominators, accents characters, ordinal numbers, and so on. It is designed for text use in body copy. But it also works very well for elegantly stylized display.

Hustlers™ was inspired by carnival, circus and tattoo signs shop from the late 1800's. It works well with normal size text, but works even better for large displays, short words, or just to incorporate a few or single characters in a design.

Amarissima is a display font inspired in vintage Italian signs of baker shops. Regardless its crafty inspiration, the construction remains highly mechanical and structured. It has several OT features being the most iconic its contextual alternates that automatically create tails on every single word.

Diaconia Old Style is a new rendition of my workhorse body copy font that I originally designed to use for the body copy of "Printing in a Digital World." I became increasingly upset with the lack of lowercase numbers and true small caps. Diaconia started life as a modification of one of the Dutch Bible fonts I traced. It has changed a lot since then (although I have a hard time telling how much because I have lost the original). The plain and italic work especially well when used in very large sizes as display faces. The other four variants (small caps, heavy, heavy italic, and black) are designed for use in book production. Because I format all my own books, I was able to design fonts that met my needs exactly: lowercase numbers, SMALL CAPS font, Mac Command, Option, and Control symbols, ballot box in the section slot, and several other special characters. DiaconiaPro is the OpenType family of my body copy workhorse. This is the first font family I ever created: classic, elegant, easy to read. 583 characters: small caps, oldstyle figures, numerators, denominators, lining figures, accents and a lot more.

Chocolate Bar JNL emulates hand-lettering on the sheet music for a song selection called "Shoe Shine Boy" from Connie's Hot Chocolates of 1936 (an all-black musical revue). The lettering was not found in the song's title, but rather in the name of the show itself.

The design for Titulata was based on the need for a titles of extreme weight, dynamics and soft morphology. Strong and clear, it takes graceful form in the line and is legible even in small bodies. The script variable is softer and features some punch-line touches, providing another vision and incorporating traits of manual writing. One important feature is that both styles have the same rendering in text box, reason why signs can be combined without other alteration that the form of the printed word.

Wine Cellar JNL is a bold, yet casual display face found on some 1930s-era sheet music entitled "Everybody Wants a Key to My Cellar". Since the subject of the song had a number of good times underneath the house, it's a fitting name for the font. The hand lettering for the original song sheet showed strong influence of the 1920s and the Art Nouveau style, and has hints of the popular metal type "Hobo" in its character shapes.

Umbilical Noose is a rather scary typeface. It is quite similar to an older font of mine: Nyctophobia. The name comes from a Nirvana song called Heart Shaped Box, in which Kurt Cobain sings: "throw down your umbilical noose, so I can climb right back". I have always liked that phrase a lot. Umbilical Noose is an all caps font, but upper and lower case are different and you can easily interchange the glyphs.

I had a Neneh Cherry song in my head when I made this font. In ‘Buffalo Stance’ she sings about a gigolo with his hands in his pockets and his crocodile feet. I liked the sound of it, so Crocodile Feet font was born. Crocodile Feet is a children’s book font: bold and cute, with easy to read glyphs. Comes with double letter ligatures in both the regular and the dots style.

Plakkaat is a fat brushed font, made with wide brushes and paint. Since it is a very easy to read font (and not to be missed), it is ideal for advertising campaigns, or demonstration signs. This 2019 version comes with improved kerning, some new and some adjusted glyphs.

The sheet music cover of Lew Brown and Albert Von Tilzer's 1917 wartime song "Au Revoir, But Not Goodbye (Soldier Boy)" had its title hand-lettered in a condensed sans serif design with the influence of Art Nouveau styling. This has now been re-drawn digitally as See You Later JNL.

Matthew Carter’s Miller is a seminal reinvigoration of the 19th-century Scotch Roman, serving forthright, authoritative body copy and headlines since 1997. Miller Text has always been the epitome of a reliable publication workhorse. Alongside the three-quarter-height Scotch numerals, Miller Text includes optional oldstyle and lining figures, each with appropriately aligned currency and other symbols. A complete set of fractions, with arbitrary superiors and inferiors, is also included. Miller Text features an Extended Latin character set, which covers all major languages and dialects written with the Latin alphabet.

Frederik is a traditional humanist sans with a modern twist. Fresh and neutral in appearance but equally organic and friendly. Frederik features 10 styles ranging from Thin to Black, plus matching italics. Regular and Medium weights work exceptionally well for small body copy, while Light and Heavy styles work best for display purposes — making Frederik a highly versatile type family, suitable for a wide range of uses. Opentype features include inferiors, superiors, fractions, numero sign, circled numbers, stylistic ordinals, ligatures, numerous arrows including extended length, and support for all Latin and Cyrillic languages.

Never let it be said that a good pun and a good font name can't work well together. The vintage sheet music for a 1920s-era song called "King Tut" (not to be confused with the novelty tune by comedian Steve Martin) presented an oddly-interesting block font which is now available in digital form as Type Uncommon JNL. The pun derives from the font's name of "Type Uncommon", which is similar in sound to King Tut's full name (which is Tutankhaten).

The simple song title "May I", found on the sheet music from the 1934 Bing Crosby-Carole Lombard film "We're Not Dressing" was hand lettered in a blocky, ultra-bold Art Deco design that foreshadowed the techno look of the 1970s and 1980s. This became the basis for Art Techno JNL.

Thystle is a "font for all seasons". It has six styles ranging from fine to in-your-face, from delicate mono-weight pen strokes to fully calligraphic lines, from delicate, narrow characters to bold, powerful statements. Characteristically, all the styles abound with Anton Scholtz's energetic "creative common" style - extravagant capitals, clear characters, and bursting-with-life swashes. Opentype features include alternative upper case characters, as well as a number of ligatures. (These can be used in applications that access OpenType features.) Thystle contains over 283 characters - (upper and lower case characters, punctuation, numerals, symbols and accented characters for both Text and Display caps). It has all the accented characters used in the major European languages.

Another variant to the ever-popular Art Deco sans lettering with solid centers (no counters) was found in the hand-lettered title on the cover of the 1933 song "There's A Ring around the Moon". This became the basis for the digital typeface Moonlit Walk JNL, available in both regular and oblique versions.

Love Birds Pattern is a picture font consisting of pattern tiles and illustrations. It is the sister font of Love Birds , which contains a handful of charming birds silhouettes.
