My kids love toadstools, especially the red capped ones with the white spots (they’re called Amanita muscaria, a.k.a. fly agaric - in case you’re wondering). A couple of months ago you could find loads of them in the forest, but now they’ve all disappeared. Toadstool font will not disappear, however. It is a very legible, clean and neat text font with an uneven baseline, slightly bouncy glyphs and more diacritics than a forest has mushrooms. Use if for packaging, kids’ book covers and posters. This font was made during testing of a neat little application, that traced hand-written letters on the fly. That application was later abandoned, and the font, named Simpel for it's obvious casual simplicity, was finished separately. This story goes up to the year 1998, and recently the font was returned from the archives. SImpel was completly remastered and some useful ligatures were added. I have always been fascinated by the ‘Full English Breakfast’. A Full English usually consists of toast, baked beans, sausages, fried eggs, fried tomatoes, fried mushrooms and sometimes blackpudding (a kind of sausage made from pig’s blood). When I lived in England, my friends were always quite happy to stow away a big full breakfast, but I, on the other hand, could not really set myself to eating one. Full English is a hand made stencil font. If you own a pub and you serve breakfast, you could use it for your signs, but I guess this font looks good on anything that needs a bit of attention. For attention, it will get!

My Left Hand is exactly what it is...well, not my actual flesh-and-blood left hand but my actual handwriting, and I know that it really is My Left Hand because people tell me all the time, "You're left-handed!" When I hear people say that, it always reassures me that I am left-handed, in case I am ever doubtful about it. Influenza, whose name means 'the flu' in a number of languages, is a fat, single weight typeface. It's a bastard typeface, each character stands alone as an independent angular structure. Heer Halewijn (The Song of Lord Halewijn) is a 13th century Dutch folk tale which survives in folk ballad. The story tells of a man called Halewijn, who lives in the woods and who lures pretty women with his songs (whom he then kills). One day a princess visits Halewijn, but when he wants to kill her, she requests he remove his robe, so as not to stain it with her blood. He obliges and when he is undressing, the princess seizes his sword and chops off his head. Halewyn is a handmade font, which was loosely based on my Languedoc font and Garamond. Auntie Pat is a new script font in my continuing objective of designing scripts that I can really use. Of course, I am looking for readability in booklets.
