Valet is deco moderne the way it was meant to be: Big, bold, classy, flashy, and clean at the seams. Its message is rich, strong, confident and reliable. Valet tells you that it’s used to thorns being part of every rose, that it can handle sharp objects just fine, and that it'd much prefer buying the tuxedo rather than renting it. This font grew out of an uncredited early 1970s all-cap film type called Expression. An appropriate deco lowercase was added, along with small caps, zippy titling caps, and Pan-European language support. With over 9250 glyphs, we bow our heads with the admission that we kind of got carried away with it.

This work is inspired by creatures that I have drawn for my six year old boy. The monsters can be found at chrismetcalfe.com. I wanted to take their hair/fur and translate the fun attitude to type. To be honest I think this font is used best as display type. However the fun attitude lends to many usages without structure.

The Srostky font is willful and stubborn. It is rude, but it is as natural as a country boy. The characters of this font were inspired by an image of the Russian countryside. The letters look as if they were felled with an ax. It is named after the village in Altai region. This font is suitable for short sayings and titles.

Wood Body w/ Electric Heart & Synthetic Mind...

In Amaboxi the upper-case letters are all placed upon a background inspired by the cardboard boxes that many people in Africa use to carry their possessions. The box takes its shape from the character and conversely, the character is influenced by the shape of the box. All characters except the six "fractions" are included in Amaboxi. It includes all upper and lower case letters as well as all numerals, punctuation, accented and special characters. All characters have been letter-spaced and kerned in terms of the box (not the character). This improves legibility, however, the inter-character spacing has been minimized so that there is often a very slight overlap between the boxes of adjacent characters. This generates an exciting and variable "white space" around the characters.

Bonnington is a Roman display face full of the spirit of the 1920s, developing further the ideas in our Bonning family. Three weights are offered, including a shadowed black form, in a choice of regular and condensed widths. It's the ideal face for signage with a period feel, as well as posters and headings. Combine Bonnington and Bonning together using Bonnington for eye-catching headings and Bonning for other text.

Space Rocks! A Retro Sci-Fi Font Inspired by 1950s Television Serials “Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! The next episode of Space Rocks is on tonight! What’s it about? With Space Rocks I want to capture this vibe with an all-caps design inspired the opening titles of these shows, fully hand-drawn with a range of discretionary ligatures that add a comic (not atomic!) touch. The package includes Regular and Outlined (all hand-drawn) versions with a complete set of alternatives to help maintain the analogue look. This font also includes unique uppercase and lowercase characters, along with numerals, punctuation, language support, underlines and symbols. Dapplegrim is a Norwegian fairytale collected by Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Moe in their book ‘Norske Folkeeventyr’. The story is about a boy who inherits a big horse (called Dapplegrim, or Grimsborken in Norwegian) and sets off to rescue the king’s daughter from a nasty troll. Dapplegrim is a handmade fairytale font. Use it for your book covers, product packaging and fairytale collections!

Fundevogel is a Brothers Grimm fairytale about a boy who was found in a tree. The story, of course, has all the obligatory characters in it: a fair maiden, a wicked cook, an old forester and lots and lots of shapeshifting. And, yes, a happy end! Fundevogel font is a handmade fairytale font. It comes with extensive language support and all the cuteness you could wish for.

A Victorian face named Oakwood provided the pattern for this decorative little number, with its swirls and curls guaranteed to delight boys and girls, saints and churls, and dogs and squirrels…well, maybe not the last pair, but you get the idea. All versions of this font include the Unicode 1250 Central European character set in addition to the standard Unicode 1252 Latin set.

Amongst some pages scanned and posted online of old wood type alphabets comes this lovely, ornamental design in a reversed style of white lettering on black rectangular boxes. Nada Fraktur is a modern geometrical blackletter made to serve your hip intentions. Think hip-hop album sleeves, your local t-shirt print shop, and Tumblr-boy action. The goal with this typeface is to blend medieval aesthetic with sharp modern cuts. You could say that the font is sort of monospaced, but it is not. The typeface includes an extended character set to support Central and Eastern European as well as Western European Languages.

A piece of hand lettered sheet music from the era of the "Roaring Twenties" served as a model for Raccoon Coat JNL. It was a time of Prohibition, bathtub gin, flappers and college boys decked out in beanies and raccoon coats. College pennants, ukuleles and "23 Skidoo" were all part of the youth culture during this period; which gave us such dances at the Charleston, the Black Bottom and the Lindy Hop.

Funkboy looks like something that was made 20 years ago. You know, when Grandmaster Flash was scratching to the beat and graffiti was totally underground. Funkboy was made to look 100% oldschool, and now you can make your own bad-boy oldschool graffiti, using your computer! Comes with two hard knock alternate letters: the peace 'o' + the heart dotted 'i' You will need to use OpenType supporting applications to use the autoligatures.

Jennie in a box - a very well flowing scriptfont that's appealing for almost any task.

Printing Set JNL by Jeff Levine comes from a toy rubber stamp printing set imported from Japan in the 1950s and 1960s that's been revived, but is now imported from China. The font has a serif letter so typical of import toys of the day, but actually reads quite nicely in short headlines and specialty ad copy.
