The design for Kiddie Show JNL is based on the hand lettering for a piece of sheet music from 1946 entitled "Wee Marionettes". While basically an Art Deco-flavored monoline typeface, it contains characters with intersecting lines and assembled parts that give it an eccentric, playful look. Available in both regular and oblique versions to add a bit of playfulness to your next project.

Although it’s a gentle giant really, Yuko has a lot of opinions and it won’t go without being heard. Baro is a powerful, fun and expressive font, great for loud, cheerful and super-fat headlines and packaging for odd novelty toys. With its bold and distinctive stylized geometric forms, it is ideal for logos, heavy machinery and wacky party invites. Baro had its beginning in a handful of rigidly geometric uppercase letters from an unidentified 1960�s or 70�s era press-down lettering font, which in turn was possibly a revival of a 20�s era Art Deco font. The exercise quickly expanded into a complete typeface with 300+ characters, including several catch words (word glyphs), stylistic alternates, discretionary ligatures, multilingual support and both lining and old style numerals. Baro maintains much of the characteristic geometric rigidity of the original handful of letters, but � With the addition of just a little bit of flare, a bit of cheerfulness breaks through, like a wink and a smile on the face of a fat and otherwise stern policeman.

Velino is the most recent of our premium typefaces. The serif version comes in two packages with three widths: Velino, Velino Condensed, and Velino Compressed. The display package contains high-contrast typefaces, with a modern flair—very feminine but with plenty of character, especially designed for fine print in big text sizes. The text package was designed for any running text. Its proportions and colors make it the ideal for text, even in very difficult conditions such as newspaper printing. We also designed the perfect companion to this enormous type system: Velino Poster, a slab serif typeface with only one weight and its respective italic, but with plenty of muscle, for every time some extra strength is needed, such as setting very big text, magazine covers or newspapers’ special sections. Finally, we designed Velino Sans and Velino Sans Condensed to perfectly match the weight and proportions of Velino, all with matching italics.

CA Normal Serif is the perfect companion to its grotesque brother CA Normal. But it is not just a serifed equivalent. It has a character of its own while preserving the principal proportions and the idea of quirkiness. It was not the aim to build a typeface that can immediately be identified as a relative of CA Normal. The intention was to create a matching typeface in aspects of aesthetic and concept. Whereas commonly serif-companions to grotesques are old-style or slab-serif, CA Normal Serif is situated between modern and slab-serif typefaces. CA Normal Serif is a little bit of an uncomfortable typeface. Nothing is smooth and cozy. It picks up elements of classic newspaper type as brought to us by Chauncey H. Griffith's legibility group, sharing the flavor of abrasive details and "slabbish" serifs. But the proportions are more condensed than the ones of its predecessors giving it a bit more elegance, which moves it closer to the aesthetic of "Scotch Romans".

A neo-grotesk with a bit more bite, this is Schizotype Grotesk. It's not your usual grot; this is purely display typography. Notches cut deep into the letterforms and the thick/thin contrast isn't always where you might expect. It's intended to be a challenging typeface - not beautiful or particularly 'useful' in any conventional sense, but it is at the very least interesting. In a world where everyone and their dog has their own grotesk offering, perhaps being interesting and that little bit different is in itself enough to give the face its utility. Besides, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What really matters is what you think! Schizotype Grotesk isn't bogged down with a million and one OpenType features you'll never use, but it does include proportional and tabular lining figures; automatic fractions; numerators and denominators; superscript and subscript numerals; case sensitive forms; and five stylistic sets that change [a], [g], [y], [IJ], and [@] respectively.

I have just returned from a trip to Malaysia, Java and Bali with my family: my wife had some family business there, so we turned it into a holiday. The last time I visited these places was 26 years ago and I knew things would have changed, but I wasn’t prepared for the ugly truth. Malaysia’s interior has been converted into one big oil palm plantation, Java is choked in plastic and Bali is one endless string of concrete hotels, restaurants and cheap tattoo parlours. Plastic Fantastic is not an ode to the many uses of plastic. It is a wake up call: we really need to stop using disposable plastic! You can start by implementing the Plastic Fantastic font family in your durable water bottle designs, the compostable bag holding your organic potato crisps or that big ole sign advertising your local food truck event. Or whatever it is you want to create. ;-)

Newercastle is the new incarnation of a popular Chank font formerly known as "Newcastle". A consistent fan favorite since its initial release in 2005, the distressed blackletter font is new and improved. This sinister script is now bulked up with all-new capital letters, a bit of punctuation, and smattering of new crowns, griffins and other heraldic doodads. Designer Kevin Hayes opted for an assortment of gritty old icons instead of more traditional punctuation, because he felt that's just the way this type of font could perform best for you, the font enthusiast. "At-signs and percentile glyphs just aren't believable in fraktur-style fonts," says Kevin. You benefit by getting a bit of clip art with the new font instead of boring old punctuation. Use the new bats indiscriminately to add a regal air to even the most mundane newsletter. Or use layer upon layer to add a rustic richness to a poster project. Vast and untamed, the American West once stretched as free and wild as imagination itself. Still beautiful, the Wild West of long ago and the new West of today is now to be found in insigne’s new face, Plathorn. That’s right, folks. When the West called, Jeremy Dooley reached up like Pecos Bill, grabbed it by the reins and pulled it in, then using its wide, roaming elements to design this functional font that still has an unbroken spirit burning deep inside. The front page of a late-1940s sales catalog for the [now defunct] Duro Decal Company of Chicago had its company name hand-lettered in a tall, condensed chamfered sans serif type design. Although chamfered lettering had been popular for decades, the way the "R" was shaped gave the letters a bit of an Art Deco influence, and this influence was carried through in the creation of Durable JNL.

This font is inspired by all those end-of-the-pier amusement arcades and fairground rides. It’s also a bit of a nod to comic book graphics of the Marvel era and the superheroes who deliver knockout punches in a spew of drop shadow typography. RealFat is a typeface that has been started with the intention to create a very squared bold font with a futuristic look and feel. It's hard luck if you're designing a poster for a creative event, and you're looking for a good fontmatch. But it's not hard luck if you use this font for that particular purpose, because I designed it for that! How's that for good luck?! :) BTW, the font has a nice crunchy line (in all 3 versions!) and I have added 3 slightly different versions of each lowercase letter!

Bornholm Sandvig is named after the village, "Sandvig", on the only rocky island in Denmark, Bornholm. It is the second face in a series of rough stone cut typefaces, that shares proportions, but differs in any other aspect like different pieces of rock. It is a powerful face, but still very friendly. Good for very big sizes, but can be used for small texts, movie titles, cartoons, etc.

Mysterious is a bit of an unusual font. It looks old fashioned, but it comes with cool stylistic alternates, it could be a didone, but it is not (really), it looks formal, but it is rather scary. Mysterious was more or less based on the titling pages of 17th century atlases and my own twisted imagination. It comes with a whole bunch of ligatures and stylistic alternates, plus extensive language support.

Arkit is a ‘constructivist’ sans with a humanistic taste. Its geometric look hides an organic soul that can be felt rather than seen, as for instance in the strokes that are slightly tapered. Arkit features a big x-height and is suitable for signage and for many display applications, but it also performs well as a book face both in body copy and in captions and small-size texts.
