Bourne is a comprehensive text and display sans-serif family consisting of 21 typefaces, all with a range of features including stylistic alternates, discretionary ligatures, as well as old-style and tabular numeral forms and fractions. The 21 typefaces include two widths and three weights of type as well as square and round terminal forms and oblique faces. Three specialised display faces are also included. The face is ideal for establishing a consistent 'look' across a range of projects and could readily become the basis of an organisation's house publication style. Bourne works well in poster and large scale design work, as well as for the setting of large amounts of text. Individual faces are priced economically and substantial discounts are offered for packs of multiple typefaces.

Point of Sale JNL is a specialty font for producing retro-style price cards, tags, stickers, labels and similar items. Within this design are a large set of numerals and two smaller sets of numerals. Both of the smaller sets are centered against the larger ones with one set also having underscores. In addition, there are a number of price card designs provided for those who want a truly nostalgic feel to their price marks. This font family is display sans-serif with different stylistic layers available as open type font. The main characters are geometric and neutral but when we change the contextual alternates open type feature the letterforms activate the cursive stylish set. The word composition is divided by initial, medial and final forms, available for all uppercase and lowercase, the diacritics for Latin encodings (Western and central Europe and Baltic countries) are available. However the contextual alternate features (cursive mode) can only work on Adobe CS Indesign and Illustrator softwares. This typeface also has uppercase swash and stylish alternates. A large group of discretionary ligatures are also available to improve better legibility and readability on specific characters combinations, giving a natural and simple solution.

Chilada is an outrageous display family by designer Patricia Lillie for Image Club. Across four versions, the decorate treatment inside Chilada's letters becomes more intense. Chilada characters exude an energy of their own. Their design could be described as a cross between Bank Gothic and Neuland, with a spoonful of funk mixed in. Big and chunky, Chilada's forms are made up of straight lines only. There are no curved elements. The resulting design is angular and cuts a good figure on the page. Of the Chilada family's four members, the basic font is named Chilada Uno. Uno is Spanish for one!" The forms of Chilada Uno's letter are solid black-or whatever color you choose to set them in! Chilada Dos, Tres, and Quatro each offer their own decorative treatments: Chilada Dos's letters sport a zigzag inline, Chilada Tres is decorated or an ornamented leaving leaves more black from the letters than white, while Chilada Quatro's level of decoration is just crazy. Its letters are made up more more from white space than from black marks. Chilada Quatro is almost an outline font!"

A personalized cursive written with the pointed brush The strange name of this font means nothing other than ”brush,“ but only the Dutch understand it. The typeface is spirited, amusing and flashy. I made the handwritten original of DeBorstel Brush quickly and without interruption with a pointed brush. In the capitals, DeBorstel Brush appears to be almost too balanced for handwriting. In contrast, the lower case letters are intentionally very individual and uneven. A bit more life is added to the typeface with ligatures activated which are constructed with alternative letter forms — and as a result, a number of problematic letter-combinations are improved. And if this typeface is still not lively enough for you, the additional alternative character forms a e g i j l n o s t u z are available with the Open Type-Function ”Discretional Ligatures“. DeBorstel Brush is suitable for all European languages. It includes ”Unicode Latin Extended-A,“ for Central and Eastern Europe incl. Turkish, and even Cyrillic and Greek, too.

The Strapwork is a symbolic font with the ornaments from the 16th century Mannerism era. These type of ornaments are called Strapwork and are combined with the Moreske ornament. Kade is a display/semi display sans family of fonts based on vernacular lettering photographed over the last ten years in and around the harbors of Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Hence the name Kade that translates into English as ‘quay’, also the name of its designer. Kade grew slowly from many different ideas and elements. The letters reflects the industrial method in which they are cut for the side of ships from large steel plates. Frequently subtleties of curves are compromised due to the cutting tools and the fact engineers are in control. Kade’s italics have an experimental character and were produced in an unorthodox manner by rotating 8 degrees, rather than slanting the roman characters, a method sometimes employed in shipyards. Meman is a practical sans serif that was enthusiastic about adding details to have more personality compared to a neo-grotesque typeface. The typeface was crafted between the concepts of mechanical oval forms and serpentine curves, with the help from open terminals, contrast joints. These 2 concepts are very different, but they balanced each other to help remain the neutral feeling as a whole. Many details are optimized so that on small scales, Meman has nothing special. But when use on bigger scales, letters are revealed to have been dived in visual flourishes, such as the "e". Also, to avoid broken fragments and remain neutral, some details were converted to alternatives. Meman has 9 upright weights (from Thin to Black), and some OpenType features like fractions, ligatures, custom decorative icons, and alternatives for "A", "E", "V", "Z", ... or "a". There are more than 660 glyphs, which support a wide range of Latin languages, including Vietnamese. For usability, the typeface was balanced and versatile, it can be pinned up as a headline or logo, and can still blend in a small paragraph.

Samo Sans is a modern sans-serif typeface with low contrast strokes and is balanced between technical shapes and dynamic feeling. The primary type family is consisted of complete set of Latin glyphs for lower and upper case. It also supports diacritics of all European languages including lining numerals, standard ligatures and other characters sufficient for regular typesetting. Characteristic features are lower spurs (a, b, d, u), and upper spurs (m, n, p, q, r) with distinctive wedge-shaped cuts. These parts are complemented by homogeneously designed diacritics, which is not disturbing and harmonizing with the whole unit. Another very strong feature of the type drawing are lower terminals of the round glyphs, which are finished by moderate narrowing. The type has got decreased caps height, also decreased numerals and optimal x-height, which makes it suitable for more extensive text typesetting. It can be effectively applied in corporate identities or in display typesetting. The narrowness of the basic set of Samo Sans typeface is supplemented by extended type family Samo Sans Pro .

Pepperwood font is a joint work of the typeface designers K.B. Chansler, C. Crossgrove and C. Twombly. These artists also created the typefaces Rosewood, Zebrawood and Ponderosa together and as the names suggest, all of these typefaces are so-called wood types. The origins of this kind of typeface can be found in the early 19th century. Called Italian or Italienne, these typefaces quickly became very popular. They are distinguished by square serifs whose width is larger than the stroke width of the characters. When the letters are set together, the heavy serifs build dark horizontal bands. Pepperwood font has a couple of unique characteristics of its own. Small squares decorate the middle of the letters and the edges of the serifs are not straight, rather, they have small, fine tips. Pepperwood is reminiscent of the Wild West with its shootouts and heroes, but also suggests the glamor of the 1970s with their platform shoes and wild hair-dos. The different weights allow a large range of design possibilities. Used carefully in headlines, Pepperwood font is sure to draw attention.

Gotta tell ya: think out of the box and this font is addictingly fun to use! Introducing Historic Warehouse, a substantial, yet elegant family, invoking advertising fonts of the early 20th century. Why the name? When asked to design a banner for Tucson’s Historic Warehouse District, I couldn’t find the look I wanted from any known fonts. After drawing what I wanted in Illustrator, there were three (and in the process, four) fonts just waiting to be realized. Happy to oblige. Here’s Historic Warehouse Regular, setting the stage. It’s sturdy, bold, and plays curves against rounded angular shapes. To its left is Historic Warehouse Condensed, trim, elegant and at its best at very large sizes; to the right is Historic Warehouse Wide, with charming style and presence. Finally, there’s Historic Warehouse Extended, extravagant in its proportions, with a beautifully-crafted form like a fine carriage. As the song says, “Everything Old Is New Again,” and this family looks as fresh and clean at the beginning of this century as it might have at the beginning of the last.

Based on the lettering used on Alan Turing’s famous code-breaking machine at Bletchley Park, the “Bombe”, and the subsequent British answer to the German Enigma machine, the Typex. Research done at Bletchley Park on their restored and antique machines provided the inspiration. The unusual shapes for the capitals have all been retained - the square O, the monospaced characters and other eccentricities that make it unique. This reference material was then extended to the numerals (which did not exist in the original) and a full international character complement. The initial design of the bombe was produced in 1939 at the UK Government Code and Cypher School (GC&CS) at Bletchley Park by Alan Turing, with an important refinement devised in 1940 by Gordon Welchman. It was based on a device that had been designed in 1938 in Poland at the Biuro Szyfrów (Cipher Bureau) by cryptologist Marian Rejewski, and known as the "cryptologic bomb" (Polish: bomba kryptologiczna). The Bombe was used to break the German Enigma code on a daily basis, and was a vital part of the Allied war effort. The British “Typex" (alternatively, Type X or TypeX) machines were an adaptation of the commercial German Enigma with a number of enhancements that greatly increased its security. It was used from 1937 until the mid-1950s, when other more modern military encryption systems came into use.

‘Skiart Serif Mini’ is now available online. Originally inspired by the san serif font ‘Skia’ by Mathew Carter for Apple. ‘Skiart’ was designed to feel more like a serifed font, but without any serifs. It took a step between sans serif and serif fonts. Next on the path towards a serif font comes Skiart Serif Mini, with tiny serifs added. This is a true serif font, all be it on the small side. It remains fully readable and feels as clean and normal as any of the best body copy serifs, and yet still has the strong solid bones of all the other Skiart font familys. If compared to one of the more commonly used serifs like ‘Times New Roman’, the ‘Skiart Serif Mini’ lowercase is more open with a taller x-height, increasing its readability and friendliness. The serifs are smaller and less distracting. They are not pretending to be ligatures. Where ‘Times’ makes its p q b d forms out of a barely touching oval and stem, the ‘Serif Mini’ forms are much more firmly attached, appearing clearly as single letters. The standard setting for the g’s are round single storied, (the italic a’s are also), feeling warmer and more inviting in the ‘Serif Mini’ font. Much more friendly than the stuffy double storied versions in fonts such as ‘Times’ etc.
