Arsis is a condesed modern headline face that was originally produced and cast in hot metal by the Dutch type foundry Lettergieterij Amsterdam. The Arsis font family was designed by Gerry Powell in 1937. Arsis is a Serif (Antiqua) Modern Style font. Arsis font family attributes include roman serif, Didone, elegant, formal, modern style, feminine.

Built with both thick and thin lines this display font uses heavy round terminals giving this almost didone-style font a more playful and slightly stylish look. Perfect for magazines and publications as well as for identity and branding. The character set contains typical OpenType features in addition to small caps, and old style numbers.

Port is an experimental Didone typeface with a modern twist, inspired in the well known forms of typography masters such as Bodoni and Didot and the exuberance and elegance of calligraphy typefaces. Diplomat Serif is a modern serif typeface with Didone characteristics, quite useful for intense editorial jobs. Mandarin font first appeared with the Type Founders of Chicago and is an interpretation of artistically drawn Asian brush calligraphy. The stylized Asian atmosphere is not created only by the forms of the figures but also by the very name of the typeface. A mandarin was a high official of the ancient Chinese empire. Alphabets like Mandarin font are often used for the menus, signs and advertisements of Asian restaurants as well as for businesses with Asian products.

This summer there is an abundance of peaches. However, every time I like to eat one, they’re gone. My kids love them, so that leaves me looking for phantom peaches. Phantom Peach is a very higgledy piggledy, fun (yet slightly scary) Didone font, which makes it ideal for children’s books, posters and packaging. Comes with a skin full of diacritics.

Estampa Script is a 5-weight script typeface, designed by Sofia Mohr, with high contrast between thick and thin strokes, and teardrop terminals that remind us of Didone typefaces. These elements are the main feature of the font and give it a very strong character. Estampa Script is well-suited for clothing, interior design, branding, packaging, advertising and publishing design.

Alfonsina is a high contrast condensed didone typeface well-suited to classy magazines, short text, branding design, packaging and advertising. With a great set of alternates and swashes, allowing for more stylized designs. This font of thin serifs includes italic, strengthening the concept of its design. Alfonsina contains a set of more than 500 characters and supports a variety of languages.

Sincerity is an elegant and strong typeface identified by its high contrast, its sharp shapes and triangular serifs. Inspired by the Didone style, Sincerity adds modernity and some unique features to it. It offers a large choice of uses, from titles of magazines to newspapers, logotypes and so on. Sincerity is available in 16 styles, from thin to black in roman and italic.

Vincente is a contemporary but Didone-look serif with condensed proportion. Inspired by vintage iron works and antique botanical pictorial book. Very simple and orthodox letter forms with some charming accent such as can be seen in "y". Sophisticated curves but they have human warmth as if they are hand-crafted. Consists of six weights and supporting almost all latin languages.

Burdigala X Serif is an open and spacious typeface inspired by the classic Didones. The X Serif is ideal for larger amounts of (printed) texts in brochures, magazines and books. Being wider than usual, it works especially well in media intended for on-screen reading, such as in Pdf-documents and e-books etc. Burdigala is the ancient Roman name of the city of Bordeaux France.

Introducing a new elegant retro display typeface called The Beardy Inspired from serif didone combine with flourish typography and 60s-70s pop culture. Old Union is a unique and creative modern font that is eye-catching and versatile. Elements of the design strongly reference Cyrillic typefaces of the early Soviet era, but with a distinctly modern look. Excellent for many uses including posters, banners, and logos. This design straddles the line between Didone-style elegance and vintage agit-prop. There are two variations in this package: Regular and Oblique.

Domani from CounterPoint is a faithful digital revival of an old photo-typositing face called ITC Didi. Originally designed by Herb Lubalin and Tom Carnase, Domani brings to life a font that has been somewhat neglected by the digital era until now. Brought to the attention of Jason Walcott by graphic designer Rob King, this font immediately captured Jason with its 1970s high contrast Didone style, typical of that time period. It has some unique design details that set it apart from other didone style typefaces. “Domani” is the Italian word for “tomorrow”. The name was suggested by Rob King, and Jason felt it was perfect for this revitalized design. Walcott has created a professional quality digital version that is both faithful to the original design while expanding the character set to make use of OpenType features. A full set of swash capitals and several swash lowercase, designed by Walcott, has been added, as well as support for Latin-based and Eastern European languages.

Started during 2012, LCT Palissade is a letter type belonging to the Didone classification. It takes over the Italian characters from the XVII century. Century affected by a huge artistic and industrial mutation, we assist to the eruption of the railroad network and Turner’s paintings. In typography, the Didones(XVIIe) begins to concede the place to the Egyptians XIXe. We noticed an evolution to rectangular drawings, that were heavier and darker. LCT Palissade is in fact the study of a history flow, crossing through the industrial revolution and romanticism; the result of a strong letter type, solid, strict the drawing is orientated towards very dark, reminiscent of the characters beginning XIXe. The serifs are the summary between the British characters from the end of (XVIe) and the Italian ones beginning of (XVIIe). In order to spread out the romanticism, they are very fine to allow a largest contrast and keep the elegance of the global shape.

Questal is an intriguing unicase serif. The face appears rather eccentric, yet it still retains a refined character. The typeface is wider than most, but not to the degree that Aviano is extended. The font includes some interesting OpenType alternate characters to extend the quirky quality of the letterforms even further. If unicase isn't your thing, the Questal family also includes a small caps variant for more traditional uses. Use Questal for eye-catching and distinctive logotypes or headlines.

The Initiales grecques were made by Firmin Didot ca 1800. When set at 22-pt, the AR font will match the size of the Corps Vingt-Deux from which it is derived.

Maria-Ballé-Initials are derived from the Ballé series I made by the Bauer foundry. When set at 60 pt this font will match the size of the original 48-pt Didot design.

Qara is a breathtaking Didot font that exudes elegance, luxury, and an unparalleled sense of fashion. With its sleek and refined design, Qara captures attention and adds a touch of sophistication to any project.

Craw Modern was designed by Freeman Craw in 1958 and first released by The American Typefounders Company, (ATF). In typography, 'Modern' is a style of typeface (classification) developed in the late 18th century that continued through much of the 19th century. Characterized by high contrast between thick and thin strokes and flat serifs. Bodoni is among the most popular of the Moderns. Moderns are also known as Didone and New Antiqua.

Mysterious is a bit of an unusual font. It looks old fashioned, but it comes with cool stylistic alternates, it could be a didone, but it is not (really), it looks formal, but it is rather scary. Mysterious was more or less based on the titling pages of 17th century atlases and my own twisted imagination. It comes with a whole bunch of ligatures and stylistic alternates, plus extensive language support.

Camijo is a contemporary serif typeface with characteristic and defined features. This font was inspired by the idea of mixing different types of terminals in order to give the font a singular appearance. Its design is composed of diverse styles such as Didone and contemporary faces. Camijo comes with a set of 352 characters. This font was specially designed for branding, advertising, editorial design, and use on Tv and social media.

Quiche Sans is a high-contrast, sans serif with monoline stroke endings, angled stems, and geometric proportions. A sibling to the Quiche family, with the ball terminal endings removed. The design is influenced by the serif didone genre, characterized by its elegance and extreme thick/thins, but it removes the serifs for a unique and modern expression and tapers out the stroke endings for a sophisticated monoline appearance.

Engravia is a Didone display face supplied in three varieties of engraving – Inline, Shaded and Sawtooth – plus a plain basic font. All four fonts share the same spacing and kerning, so engraved characters can be overlaid onto plain ones to produce bicolor effects. All four Engravia fonts are included in the download. The typeface was developed from K-Type’s rustic Building & Loan font, redesigned and drawn with precision outlines.

The design of this typeface was influenced by the typefaces left by Firmin-Didot. There are three weights, and all weights can be used in large font sizes to create a gorgeous and attractive impression.

Ginko is a capitals only display font with an obvious Asian influence. The characters are formed with short tapered strokes, reminiscent of those produced by a broad pen. An ideal face for signage, menus, advertising, wherever an Asian feel is required.

Coppola is a brand new typeface that combines a little bit of Didot, a pinch of Art Nouveau, and a dash of Italian mafia. A-Z, a-z Numbers Alternates Ligatures Multi-language support Symbols Special characters

Compass TRF is a reevaluation of an existing Compass typeface dated 2002. Compass is a geometric contrast serif typeface - "contemporary Didone". New Compass consists of four styles—regular, italic, alternate and flourish initials with small caps. Compass TRF is recommended for use as display typeface. It is suggested that flourish initials font to be used for decorative purpose only, not basic typesetting. Compass TRF generated as OpenType single master format with Western CP1252 character set.

Alea is based on the drawings of Maria Balle. The floral, organic look of these bastard script initials will play well together with nearly all Didone designs and will give them a special note. Alea works perfectly with the Adana fonts also available from astype. The Opentype features Superior, Inferior & Numerator will activate the filling objects. Use these features on a new layer and choose your color to get up to three color layers.

fj Meduza is a new typographical system designed by Franco Jonas Hernández, born as an exploring process from the classic model from —modern or didones style— typhography from XIX century. fj Meduza also explores the posibilities of Optical Adjustments —from 8 or 10 to 72 pts— offering a version to compose preferent reduced sizes —newspapers— and another version to titles with long-standing. Ideally for Branding, Headlines and especially complex editiorial contexts.

Abeille means bee in French. I am a little worried about the world's bee populations, as whole colonies collapse due to monoculture and pesticides. I have planted many bee-attracting plants in my garden and even put up a 'bee hotel' (which is full of tenants right now). Abeille is a hand drawn didone-ish font, kind of cute and happy, very legible and full of character. Abeille comes with a swarm of diacritics.

Giaza is a luxurious Didone typeface, most suitable as a Display font, the main focus was to include as many indulgent aspects as possible, and really make use of its high-contrast aesthetic. With smooth curves and subtle indentations, it's a very Fashion-conscious typeface. The OpenType features include 190 decadent swashes and elegant Inverted/ Everted Alternates. Along with Stylistic Alternates, Standard Ligatures, Discretionary Ligatures, Regular and OldStyle Numerals, Fractions and Ordinals.

Fromage is a modern and bold high-contrast sans serif that balances visual interest with restraint. Designed with Adam Ladd’s signature personality, Fromage has dramatically angled terminals and elongated stroke endings that lend both an elegant air and a dynamic rhythm, making it an obvious choice for fashion, beauty, or luxury branding. With horizontal rather than the sheared terminals, Fromage Alt offers a more classic and refined look, conveying touches of a traditional serif Didone.
