Candy Design is a display font containing 265 glyphs. It was designed during a stay in Tanzania, Zanzibar in 2022. The main idea was to combine a sans-serif modernist, grotesque typeface with the addition of delicate Arabic accents. Its main assumption of use is posters, product design and branding. Unusual, dynamic and unpredictable accents that are found in practically every letter give the character of a very custom font, also completely not intended for typesetting, which, contrary to the features mentioned above, remains legible. The typeface family TV Nord is based on the corporate typeface NDR Sans which was developed by Elsner+Flake for the Norddeutsche Rundfunk (www.ndr.de) between 1999 and 2001. This new design came into being as part of a complete overhaul of the visual image of the NDR. This became necessary because the NDR, founded in 1954, incorporated the stations of the East German states Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (1992) and Brandenburg (1997) after the re-unification of Germany. The Hamburg advertising agency DMCGroup developed a new and unified image for the NDR which is in existence to this day. The typeface TV Nord relates to the design of the Trade Gothic and similar American sans serif typefaces of the early part of the last century. Quiller is another catch from the hot metal days, another one that managed to slip through the fingers of both the photo-typers and digitizers of last 4 decades. JJ Sierke’s Privat design from 1966 is now resurrected and heavily extended to be used by computer users everywhere. The original design was revived, and two whole new fonts were added to it - one with very unique swash caps and alternates, and one with many many ligatures and letter-combination ornaments. Mousse Script is based on Glenmoy, a 1932 Stephenson Blake typeface. Glenmoy a prime example of what display typography was in pre-WWII American ad art. It graced the pages of magazines, sold numerous products and services, then simply died out when the typographic trends shifted towards the more personalized, stylized and handwritten types of calligraphy. The current trend in typography is a revivalism that brings all of the distinctive display typography of the 20th century, without chronological discrimination, back in the name of ‘retro’. The design of Concert Series JNL is based on hand-lettering for a 1930s-era WPA (Works Progress Administration) poster for the Federal Music Project of New York City’s symphony concerts. Held every Sunday at the Theater of Music [located at 254 West 54th Street], the admission in those Depression-era days was 25 cents and 60 cents, with all seats reserved.

The Hot Rush font family consists of; Hot Rush Script • A fast, textured script font hand-made with a marker pen. Hot Rush Script contains uppercase-only characters, however a full alternate set of uppercase letters is available when you switch to lowercase. Supports a full set of numerals & punctuation. Hot Rush Sans • A condensed sans-serif font with a big impact, containing uppercase-only characters. Supports a full set of numerals & punctuation. Hot Rush Sans Striped • A second version of Hot Rush Sans, with vertical stripes running through each letter for added retro style. Italic Versions • For Hot Rush Sans & Hot Rush Sans Striped are also included as separate fonts. Extra Stuff; End Forms For Hot Rush Script are available for the letters A, C, E, F, G, H, K, L, R & T. These have elongated horizontal strokes and look great as the last letter of a word. Simply turn on ‘Stylistic Alternates’ with any Opentype capable software to access these characters. 4 Swashes For Hot Rush Script are available, these are great for underlining your text for extra style.
