STF Eclectic Medley is the budget-concious answer to your dingbat blues! This "best of" collection from the Eclectic One, Two and Three fonts is the ultimate grab-bag dingbat resource. Every slot in the font is filled (over 200 characters!), and includes the form-making glyphs from Eclectic Three. The Eclectic family is legendary, with a cult-like following among the inititated. You'll find yourself using Eclectic Medley almost daily to add spice to your otherwise san-serif typographic existence. This font is essentially a soap opera of typographic image elements, created for projects when I couldn't find the "thingbat" I needed. Based on that research, font designer Chatnarong Jingsuphatada created a design whose main purpose is to perform equally well in as many environments as possible. This hand-crafted font was designed for architect, blueprint and drawing use. Small font sizes have good contrast and are very easy to read. Larger font sizes create distinguished-looking headings. This font is also a good choice for adding a personal hand lettered touch, as opposed to fonts with perfectly formed lines and curves or other script fonts that are less formal and often difficult to read. The font resembles a cross between comic and VAG fonts. Architect Small Block started its life as small block letters on vellum ... hence its name.

Goudy Sans Bold was originally designed by Fredric Goudy in 1922 as a less formal "gothic" and finished in 1929. The light was designed in 1930 and the Light Italic in 1931. Alternate letterforms are included in these three Goudy designs which are digitized true to their original design. In 2006, designer Colin Kahn drew "LTC Goudy Sans Regular" which is a medium weight version intended for text purposes. Kahn has also designed an experimental "LTC Goudy Sans Hairline" which has a skeletal almost mono-width stroke and results in a surprisingly elegant display face.
