It took the Italian designer Antonio Pace more than five years to create Linotype Gianotten™, a successful new interpretation of the classic Bodoni types. To re-draw the 200-year-old characters for the world of modern digital technology, Pace studied Giambattista Bodoni's original punches at the Bodoni Museum in Parma. He felt that previous Bodoni interpretations were not well suited for body texts, so he focused his study of Bodoni's "Manuale Typografico" on the types made specifically for text sizes. Consequently, his Bodoni has strong hairlines, rounded transitions and shorter, fluted serifs - elements that help to achieve readability by providing an overall tranquil effect. The name Norden means “the Nordic”, as in the geographical area or its countries. Linotype Agogo is part of the Take Type Library, chosen from the contestants of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. Designed by British artist Ed Bugg, the font is reminiscent of the elegant 1920s and 1930s. It is a calligraphy font with five weights, one regular and four swash. The regular weight alone is clear and legible enough even for longer texts, although when used with swash characters, the texts should be shorter or headlines.

Kalinga Regular is a new OpenType font with TrueType outlines from Microsoft that supports the Oriya script. Kalinga is a very legible sans serif font. Oriya is structured in a manner similar to Devanagari fonts, and is used to write the Oriya language in the Indian state of Orissa, and minority languages including Khondi and Santali. The Kalinga Regular font, like other Indic fonts, requires an operating system and application program that supports OpenType features for complex scripts.

I've added two versions: Regular and Drips. The Drips versions is (you may have guessed it already!) a bit more drippy than the regular version. Both versions uses contextual alternates, which in this case means that there is 3 different versions of all lowercase letters - and these automatically cycles as you type!

We were marveling one day at a colleague's handwriting. We noticed that it managed all at once to be casual and modern looking, yet admirably regular and legible as well. Pseudo-Hellenic is a font based the Greek typeface of Firmin Didot. The original Greek typeface became standard during the Victorian era and remained popular until the last part of the twentieth century. Andove is a narrow sans font with very tight compression. With a slim character and a fairly large x-height, Andove looks great for very large and eye-catching typesettings. Designer Nick Curtis found the inspiration for this typeface on a 1920s poster for a German bookseller, by Berlin poster artist Paul Scheurich. ITC Jeepers retains the spontaneity and playfulness of Scheurich's original lettering and adds a few surprises of its own, one being the somewhat exclamatory ear on the lowercase "g".
