This script font was inspired by a few manuscripts and letters written by French representatives or ministers after the defeat of Napoleon at Waterloo. Stylish, elegant, and alluring, Sekhmet got its name from the lion-headed war goddess of ancient Egypt. And the typeface does possess a kind of feline, forward-directed energy - a result of its calligraphic detailing combined with a very slight slope in the roman. Sekhmet is essentially a display face; still, it's as carefully crafted as any of the designer's text fonts and so also works well in reasonably large text blocks, especially at larger point sizes. Butan was originally designed as a typographic project for the Specialization in Typography Design at the University of Buenos Aires, during the years 2013 and 2014. The project was conceived as a “wayfinding” font, that would be functional for bilingual signage systems. The main guideline for its design was to create a font that could be readable from great distances and it could be potentially used in signage systems. Therefore the neutral aesthetics and clean shapes were very relevant in order to create this particular font.

I really like Mandarins, so I thought I’d give them their well-deserved place in the spotlights by naming a font after them. The whispers part - well, that’s just because it sounded good. Mandarin Whispers is a very nice brush font, which was actually not made with a brush, but with a cheapie marker pen. It comes with all the bells & whistles, so have a ball!

Bougainville Neo is a complete remake of our popular Bougainville series which first appeared at MyFonts in 2005. Neo is now in 4 additional weights plus italics. Jasmin is a tribute to the ancient stories of The Thousand and One Nights, in which a main story serves as a connection for a series of other stories, just like all the other glyphs are derived from one of Jasmin's letters or from a sign. A graphic path in which we tried to combine the calligraphy designed with a quill with geometric research. Among the glyphs there is one referring to a letter from a famous font by Paul Renner, made by Fonderia Bauer in 1927.

The Troyer AR ornaments are based on the first series of ornaments designed for American Type Founders by Johannes Troyer (1902-69). They were cast in 36 and 48 point in 1953 by ATF who said that they ‘mark a distinct and refreshing departure from the motif of earlier ornaments, and add a crisp touch to your finer printing’. Kenneth Day, in The Typography of Press Advertisement (1956), found them 'clean-cut and bright and clearly showing their calligraphic origins . . . useful for single decorative touches'.

Whitehaven is the spirit of the Art Deco movement made into a very solid and blocky Sans Serif font. The name owes its inspiration to Whitehaven Mansions, a block of flats where that greatest of 1930s detectives, Hercule Poirot lived. The hands in this font are the pointing, counting, threatening, signaling, demonstrating and playing hands I use in my own design projects. I have drawn them all with a felt-tip marker, scanned and digitized for use in a font. This picture font is more user-friendly than having single ps-files.
