  13. Spacy Avocado by PizzaDude.dk, $15.00

  14. Electric Cable by Harald Geisler, $39.00
''Sometimes, you fall in love with someone, and, sometimes, you fall in love with something. I fell in love with the work of Harald Geisler. Harald and I met through our work on a couple of Kickstarter projects (Typographic Wall Calendar and The Montserrat Typeface). We sympathised immediately with each other, and that lead us to start a new project. The electricity we felt was captured in Electric Cable (that’s what we named it), a typeface designed in our own image and likeness. Electric cable is connected, and that power leads it to write unexpected things. It’s a letter for the flâneur: it carries within itself a high voltage that makes it lively. It has energy and spark. That’s exactly what we would like in a person. It is a display typeface, current and contemporary. It is based on the connection of two friends who felt the need to create a common language even without speaking the same language. In editorials use, your words will become strikingly beautiful. Electric Cable features geometric, humanistic qualities, and also some script, but ,above all, it has a sense of humor.’’ Julieta Ulanovsky (Usage tip: Use the “
  15. Wild About Myself JNL by Jeff Levine, $29.00
Lettering found on the cover of the 1923 song "I Love Me (I'm Wild About Myself)" can take on various graphical possibilities. Although its design is Art Nouveau in concept, it is somewhat reminiscent of the "bubble letters" most school kids used to doodle on notebook and portfolio covers; yet the lettering style also evokes the 1960s-70s Hippie movement. As a sidebar, a couple of lines from the song's lyrics were used by Jeff Levine's late mother to chastise him as a youth when he got "a little too full of himself". The lyrics were: "I love me! I love me! I'm wild about myself! I love me! I love me! My picture's on the shelf!"
  16. Squat by BA Graphics, $45.00
Squat may be vertically challenged but hey, even the vertically challenged need love too! And you know what? Squat is worth much more than Diddley Squat! It gets the tough jobs done in half the vertical space with its sturdy, low profile. Randy Newman may not care for it, but Squat shows that short fonts got plenty of reason to live! So there.

  20. Bong God by Loaded Fonts, $7.50
Following rules, perhaps too closely. The first full font created by Ray Mullin who strongly believes a font need not be pretty to be valid. Each capital shares similar angles, as does each lowercase, making for a typeface only a mother could love. The rounded style was the true inspiration for the original, but logically it had to come second. Based entirely around Bong God but losing the harsh edges to become a usable futuristic type. Legible, but not readable, recommended in small doses.
  21. NT Gagarin by Novo Typo, $26.00
Anna Gagarin is the loving matriarch of the Gagarin Family. Her life was full of love and passion. She was in love with the Russian poet Vladimir Majakovski (born on July 19th, 1893 and died in Moscow on the April 14th, 1930). She gave birth to his son Boris. She called him 'a cloud with trousers'. After this love story, Anna Gagarin met the designer and artist Gustav Klucis in Italy. His radical and political ideas were much too childish for her. After a period of love and passion Anna gave birth to his son. At that time they were in Italy, which explains his italic forms. After her return to Moscow in the beginning of the 1920's Anna was introduced by Alexander Rodchenko. They were heavenly in love but Ilja Stepanova was very jealous on her husband. Anna once said that 'Alexander fills mine construction with love...' That phrase can be an explanation for the term Constructuvism as an art movement. Alexander was the great love of Anna. She gave birth to their love-baby Dimitri Gagarin. That night Alexander designed his most famous poster. A decade before that Anna told it was
'a time for a change'. In a local bar in Sint Petersburg she met Gregory Rasputin. At that time Rasputin was a well known person and a respected member of the Sint Petersburg upper class. His diabolic character influenced Anna and after several months she gave birth to their son Kurt. 30. Cinnabar Brush by Hanoded, $15.00
Cinnabar Brush is a font named after a mineral - mercury sulfide to be precise. I quite like the name and the color, so naming a font after it made sense. Cinnabar Brush is a very bold, very outspoken brush font. It is all caps, but upper and lower case glyphs differ and can be mixed. It is a bit on the heavy side, so I wouldn't set a text in it. Use Cinnabar Brush for posters, book covers, T-shirts and the like. Comes with a mother lode of diacritics.

  32. Island Life by Wing's Art Studio, $24.00
Island Life is a font inspired by the loose, wavy style of the type associated with 1970s surf culture. Often found on lo-fi surf movie posters, t-shirts, and decals, it’s an aesthetic that promotes a laid-back, summer-loving style. With a zen “be like water” approach, this font has no straight edges. Behaving like letters inside a Lava Lamp, each individual character blends into a harmonious whole; perfect for groovy titles, logos and headers. The Island Life font features unique uppercase and lowercase characters, along with numerals, punctuation and language support, symbols and lots of custom ligatures for a truly hand-made look. All ligatures function automatically and can be turned on/off using the opentype features built into your software of choice. It’s the perfect font for the summer season and works great across posters, logos, t-shirts, menus and more. I recommend first laying out your text and then experimenting with warp, wave and bulge effects for some excellent results. Check out the visuals to see it in action. Enjoy!
  33. Marseillette NB by No Bodoni, $39.00
These four typefaces, Berlinette NB, Lyonette NB, Marseillette NB and Parisette NB, were designed from the same basic shape, a fanciful geometric form that avoids strict horizontals and uses more offbeat triangular shapes. Marseillette is the nasty one, with sharp hook terminations that require careful use. Dont slip and accidentally stick one in your hand it will hurt pretty bad and make you blubber like a baby. Its good for surreal warning signs on dark, forbidding docks where gooey monsters live.

  35. CarlMarx by Adobe, $29.00
This typeface is based on lettering by Carl Marx (1911?1991), designed during his first semester at the Bauhaus in Joost Schmidt?s class, in 1932. Although the letter proportions are based on Schmidt?s teachings, the forms are not constructed from compass and ruler, but drawn with brush and marker, lending the words a warm and lively touch. Hidetaka Yamasaki redrew the letters from scratch and added all missing characters for today?s needs. A set of hanging figures, alternates for some critical letterforms (such as f, r, and t) as well as several ligatures make CarlMarx especially suitable for use in body text. As suggested by Marx, Yamasaki captured two weights from the original drawing and perfectly adjusted light and bold to highlight words and create hierarchy in headlines ? without losing or adding space. True to the original, Yamasaki captured the wobbly contour in CarlMarx, preserving warmth in the condensed geometric style of the early 1930s.
  36. Honey Burst by PizzaDude.dk, $16.00
I love honey - as a dessert or just as a quick snack. I didn’t really like it as a kid, but I guess that is just a result of people changes taste as time goes. I also love letters and notes - and that I also loved as a kid! And the Honey Burst font is a tribute to people to likes to take notes, and those who likes their letters being legible, but not focusing on height, width and position according to the other letters. I’ve added 7 slightly different versions of each letter, which leaves your text quite random and lovely organic - go ahead and type those notes! :)
