It's designed to evoke an era of pirates, highwaymen and desperate conspiratorial notes written with a crude pen in a hand shaking from too much rum. LATINATE is a condensed Latin typeface whose sharp serifs are not as fiercely pointed as traditional Latins. The fonts are derived from the serial numbers of bus tickets issued by the Bell Punch Company in the mid twentieth century, and the LATINATE ROUGH font is a distressed version based on scans of coarsely printed tickets.

Milan-based Leftloft studio has produced a third leg to its hit Etica font family: LFT Etica Mono. Meant to be a coder’s go-to font for everyday use as much as a designer’s way to invoke a certain genre, it is part of a broader and more versatile family that already contains almost 80 sans and serif fonts. LFT Etica Mono’s ten weights carry the same modern, recognisable DNA of the Etica family while hewing to the defined requirements of a coding typeface: space, density, distinct forms, and clarity. The starting point was the need for a monospaced Etica companion intended for technical applications: captions in graphic layouts, small text, confined or predefined space, and overall tone. Flat terminals and counters maintain the colour and versatility of the original typeface, but choosing between the organic cursive or blunt slanted alphabet will give every layout its own character. This classic face is based on Kleukens Scriptura, designed by Friedrich Wilhelm Kleukens in 1926 for D Stempel AG. It served as an alternative to Lucien Bernhard's Cursive and an inspiration for Oswald Cooper's Pompeian Script. Ashtanga was named after a type of yoga. In Sanskrit it means "eight-limbed", which I find quite appropriate, give the amount of swirls and curls. The font is 'all-caps', but the upper and lower case glyphs differ completely. They are, of course, fully interchangeable. Ashtanga comes with multi language support.

Morris Fuller Benton's 1935 offering from ATF, entitled Raleigh Gothic Condensed, inspired this ultracompact masterpiece. The Times Europa Office family is designed after the model of the original serif family produced by Walter Tracy and the Linotype Design Studio in 1974. A redesign of the classic Times New Roman typeface, Times Europa was created as its replacement for The Times of London newspaper. The Sunshine Group is a series of four closely related fonts that combine a visual rendition of a bright noonday sun with Page No. 508, a wood type designed by William Hamilton Page of Norwich, Connecticut in 1887.
