I recently walked part of the South West Coast Path in the UK. A couple of days in the hike, I came across a small cafe and I decided to have an oat latte (I am lactose intolerant). Since it was early in the morning, the breakfast menu was out and one of the items I noticed was ‘Overnight Oats’. I normally cook my oats with some lactose free milk and water, but apparently you can soak them overnight, add fruit and nuts and eat it like that. I tried it, it’s ok, but I think I prefer the cooked version. Overnight Oats is a bit of an odd font: it is very higgledy piggledy, yet legible and unique. If you want something out of the ordinary, then this may be your font!

This year we attended the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in Italy. In our days off, we went to Piazza Maggiore to see what the city had to offer and luckily for us we saw an incredible store sign saying CAMPORA. We took some pictures of the typed font and later back in the studio we discovered that it was Dynamo. Immediately our minds were blown away by its beauty and thus we decided to design a new font inspired by its sharp and geometric design adding new weights and OpenType features. In the process we realized that both Dynamo and one of our favorite fonts Avant Garde, share a similar structure, so we made a type mashup between these beauties, including the sharpness of Dynamo and the revolutionary ligatures of Avant Garde.

The inspiration source for Peony Monogram was a unique stackable monogram design with floral accents from a vintage embroidery publication. Originally intended to adorn handkerchiefs, this simple pattern has so many design possibilities, from colorizing to formatting options. You can really play around with this monogram font! Peony Monogram can create one, two, or three letter monograms, even basic titling due to its unique design. Because of Peony's unique stackable monogram formatting, make certain that the point size of the font is the same as the leading being applied to the font in order to minimize gapping between stacked forms. Meet Haggis! Inspired by the Insular Half-Uncial and Uncial typefaces that have long been associated with Scotland, Ireland, and their Celtic cousins, Haggis is an unusual creature. Sticky Shoes was inspired by a sign at a local flea market. The artist behind the sign obviously didn’t care much about painting the letters “in the right way” - leaving a slobby and uneven impression. And what is wrong with that? Nothing, if you ask me. I tried my best to capture the charm and innocence behind that sign in Sticky Shoes. I even made the paint version go outside the outline in the Regular version! I added 6 different versions of each letter, and they automatically changes as you type. That goes for all 4 versions, and they even mix very nicely!
