RoundCut Bold is a geometric grotesque typeface, ideal for large sizes (display proposals and headlines). Its structure is modern, strong and bold, noticeable in its minimal and geometrically forms. ITC Ronda, with its constructed forms, was designed by Herb Lubalin in 1970. Behind its figures lie the clear geometric forms of the circle, triangle, and rectangle. The typeface presents a clear, modern look in any application. Distinguishing characteristics are the shapes of the upper right third of the capital B, P and R as well as the half-circle form of the descender of the Q. Van Dijk was designed by Peter O'Donnell in 1986 and is a zigzag typeface with a printed handwritten character. Angular forms and an emphasized slant to the right make it seem energetic and forward-reaching. The s forms with their rounded and softer forms contrast all the better with the rest of the alphabet. The strong figures of Van Dijk are reminiscent of advertisements of the 1940s. Van Dijk is best used for headlines or short texts in point sizes of 12 or larger.

Ad Lib designed by Freeman Craw for the American Type Founders (ATF) in 1961. A bold Grotesque with irregular rectangular counters in round characters. This type was designed by cutting the letter images out and thus has some wood-cut character. Some lower case characters have slight inclination. Initially numerous alternative characters were provided. Unusual shapes make this typeface useful for advertising and display work.

This is an American face designed by Lucian Bernhard for ATF in 1929. An extra light face with tall ascenders and stylized bars that extend off to the left. The lower-case sits on the baseline and the much-taller-than-normal capitals have an imaginary baseline that sits about two-thirds of the distance from the real baseline to the bottom of the EM.
