Middle Ages is a hand-drawn medieval type, designed by Måns Grebäck during 2019. With its blackletter style it works great in many historical context typesettings, as well as for traditional Christmas projects. It has a Gothic style that also works well for rock music genres, or for tattoos and other rough graphics. The font is multilingual and supports all Latin-based European languages, contains numbers and all symbols you'll ever need.

The 52 characters assembled by this Gothic font, Prince of Darkness, were once interred in coffins onboard the Russian cargo ship Demeter, when it set sail for the sleepy shores of Whitby, Northern England ages ago. Born from the intersection of the geometric and grotesque typefaces. This is a squared sans serif font family developed out of a taller Bank Gothic model plus a true lower case with many OpenType features and over 600 characters: Caps, lower case, small caps, ligatures, discretionary ligatures, swashes, small cap figures, old style figures, numerators, denominators, accent characters (including CE), ordinal numbers (1st-infinity: lining and oldstyle), and so on. A redesign of drawings of News Gothic from the Smithsonian, Cyrus Highsmith and the Font Bureau studio created Benton Sans, one the most popular and versatile families in this genre. This version of the family is part of the Reading Edge series of fonts specifically designed for small text onscreen, having been adjusted to provide more generous proportions and roomier spacing, and having been hinted in TrueType for optimal rendering in low resolution environments.

This unusual Gothic face was found in the 1882 McKellar, Smiths and Jordan specimen book under the name Borussian, a then-current variant of “Prussian”. This version is true to the original, so please note: a few of the uppercase characters—notably E and G—are rather unusual, so proceed with caution. Barstow is an exuberant revival of Wells & Webb's 1854 woodtype sensation, Gothic Tuscan Italian, building off the original 47 characters with hundreds of new glyphs including Latin language support, symbols, and punctuation. Vestigio m. Ing. & Fr. vestige: a trace, mark or visible sign left by something as an ancient city in a condition or practice vanished or lost. Vestigia is born by lost pieces of other typography, being then, Garbancera's descendant. It evolved to be seen in big point sizes and compete with other fierce competitors, while retaining some features of it ancient predecessor, navigates a gothic fraktur experimental style, existing between legible and illegible reading.

HALIVELAVIERTA is a combination font between blackletter and serif, but I included it in the blackletter category because of the boldness and spacing that is close to a blackletter font, resulting in a font with a slightly gothic feel, vintage but also suitable for modern designs. Skiltmaler is the typeface that refers to the style of decorative arts during the Victorian era 1837 to 1901, the Victorian era was the period in which fly poster typography emerged. The large amount of colour in combination with large font sizes were created from movable metal type. As well as being made from wood, this was used to create the two-coloured typefaces. You would imagine this would be specific to the '3D' styled type seen on the poster to create the drop shadow. Skiltmaler works well with normal size text, but it works even better for large displays, short words, or even just to incorporate a few or single characters in a design.

If there was an American Typeface Hall of Fame, Bank Gothic, designed by the great Morris Fuller Benton would hold a place of special distinction considering this design has survived so many trends in typographic fashion since being introduced in 1930. It's just as desirable today as it was over eighty years ago; arguably more. Today, Bank Gothic is a very popular choice as a titling face for science fiction books, posters and countless television and movie titles. It is also a popular typeface for use in computer games and digital graphics. GroupType’s 2010 revival of this American classic is true to the design, the period, and Benton’s aesthetic. GroupType worked with some of the most talented and experienced type designers that were historically grounded and sensitive to this design project. Fortunately, Mr. Benton has left us a large selection of other great typefaces for insight and guidance. The original Jessen typeface, named in reminiscence of the great supporter of the printing art at the end of the 19th century, Peter Jessen, was designed in the years of 1924 until 1930. Bible Gothic was created by the famous German designer Rudolf Koch. Ralph M. Unger digitized this font exclusively for profonts in 2005, keeping his digitization as close as possible to the original design of Koch in order to preserve the distinguished character and the partly unconventional, original forms. The concept of a Bible Gothic was developing for years in Koch's mind and drove the direction of his work, but only after the experience with his Neuland design could he start the creation of his Peter Jessen typeface. Produced quite like Neuland, Jessen, however, is much more refined and more accurate in detail than Neuland. At first glance, it seems to look plain and simple, but if you look closer, the richness of its distinguished upper case forms unfold to a perfectly clear flow of text

Boonville JNL is a slightly condensed version of Cloverdale JNL - a "Western" style typeface based on classic wood type from the 1800s.

Cross a Western wood type with an experimental font from the 1990s, and the most likely result would probably resemble Roughshod JNL.

Gans Italiana is a comprehensive family of wood type inspired typeface based on the same font by the extinct spanish Gans Fundicion.

Afterglow JNL is another variation of Jeff Levine's wood type font Twelve Oaks JNL; this time with an array of sparkling stars.

Diamondwood JNL is based on examples of vintage wood type with condensed, elongated diamond shapes containing the various letters of the alphabet.

Eyebel was an attempt to form letters as simply as possible using only straight lines but still have them legible. The family is low contrast and has a boxy look. Eyebel-Ruff was formed by randomly moving control points. None of these faces have any curves.

A full character set derived from an enamel hand painted sign on the Whitehouse lawn that contained the magic set of 9 characters or enough rudimentray styles elements to derive a complete character set. It's very round and boxy and is great for display and signage.

Chocolate Bar JNL emulates hand-lettering on the sheet music for a song selection called "Shoe Shine Boy" from Connie's Hot Chocolates of 1936 (an all-black musical revue). The lettering was not found in the song's title, but rather in the name of the show itself.

Mixed designs of Futura and Bodoni (Fudonis) are quite popular. Apart from being contemporary, such fonts provide excellent readability. However, most of the existing 'mixtures' were not good enough in terms of balance for P. Kraft. He was finally inspired by a noticeable 'mixture' in a Japanese fashion magazine. His intention was not to combine two existing fonts but to design a completely new typeface: Bohemian - named after the well-known Japanese fashion style in Shibuya/Tokyo - the Bohemian Style.Bohemian and Parametra can be mixed perfectly since their proportions and dimensions are the same.Bohemian was designed for the URW++ FontForum.

The earlier release of Hasan Amal typeface was in 2008. Garstang Engraved is the latest in Greater Albion's series of ‘wood type’ inspired fonts. Garstang Engraved is a hand-cut Roman, suggesting the late Victorian era, but the type of thing that continued in use well into the twentieth century. Although wood types were at their peak of use during the letterpress era of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, there is a growing revival movement of "boutique" print shops who have embraced the look and texture of this form of printing. More modern in design that many of its counterparts, Pleasantwood JNL is still a nice addition to the wood type library re-drawn digitally by Jeff Levine Fonts.

Hoosegow JNL isn't a small town jailhouse, but it is Jeff Levine's take on a classic wood type that brings out the Old West in any design layout. Eroika Slab is a robust, display serif, intended to be set large. While for most serifs, display means high contrast, Eroika's "displayness" stems from its wide stance, tight spacing, equal cap and ascender heights, flared stems and large x-height. The italics in particular are quite unorthodox, with their vertical serif cut-offs and foot serifs where most fear to tread ('scuse the pun). All fonts feature a useful array of stylistic sets, oldstyle figures, automatic fractions and case sensitive forms. All ligatures are in the discretionary section, as it's my belief that this typeface looks better without them, but I like to offer the choice. Love Notes JNL is a total reworking of one of Jeff Levine's old freeware fonts. This revised version has an alphabet set jogged left and right in different upper and lower case variations. Playing around with the shift key will bring you the optimum results. On the left and right parenthesis keys are blank hearts logged left and right, and the corresponding fill fonts are on the bracket keys. (NOTE: You may have to do some manual adjustments, as the overlay placement can vary slightly in some programs.) There are numerals as well, and scattered around the keyboard are classic "message hearts" - just like in the boxes of candy. A backfill glyph for the numerals and message hearts is on the backslash key.
