This typeface was originally inspired by Art Deco lettering. During the development of the letterforms a strick DeStijl grid was imposed. The lowercase letterforms were created with the influences of rave/techno design styles. The result is a distinctly contemporary display font. The P22 Cusp Family contains 4 fonts: P22 Cusp Round, P22 Cusp Round Slant, P22 Cusp Square, P22 Cusp Square Slant. This font was designed as a display font and may be a bit taxing on the eye at smaller point sizes. The P22 Cusp family is licensed exclusively to P22 type foundry/International House of Fonts.

It was just a matter of culling out the right collection of characters to build the foundations for the four flavors of Alfie. Because they share the same family roots, each design in the Alfie family can be paired and intermixed. Ford admits that there’s a hint of Emil Klumpp’s 1950s Murray Hill typeface (https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/bitstream/murray-hill/) in the Alfie family. Just enough to give the design a 50s vibe. Wyoming Pastad is the simplest of the Wyoming series. The round letter shapes of Wyoming Spaghetti have moved toward squareness. The overall effect is that Wyoming Pastad no longer looks much like an “Old West” face. There are two shadowed versions of WyomingPastad. Using the ShadowedInside style in layers with the shadowed styles is an easy way to get two-colored letters.

Way back in 1996, three student letterers went into the forest looking for the mysterious fonts used to letter Spawn: Blood & Shadows. They never returned. A year later, these fonts were found. And now, over 20 years later, we've updated Wiccan with separate Regular & Bold Special weights, Central Europe & Cyrillic characters, automatically cycling alternate letters and fan-favorite Crossbar I Technology!

Quartal is a family of stylish sans serif typefaces of condensed proportions. The family consists of 5 regular weights, 4 condensed ones and 13 extended styles (7 upright and 6 italic). At first there was intention to release just 4 condensed weights for headlines and advertising texts, but later 5 styles of wider proportions were added. As the result the area of applications becomes much wider due to possibility to use the font for smaller point sizes. The name "Quartal", which in this case means city quarter, according to author's associations emphasizes the advertising nature of the design most suitable to the urban environment. Character set of the fonts covers alphabets of Western Europe and basic Cyrillic languages. In addition, it includes a range of alternatives, especially in Cyrillic part. Design was done by Oleg Karpinsky. Released by ParaType in 2010. In 2011 13 new styles of extended proportions were added to Quartal family by the same author. 7 new weights and 6 corresponding italics make Quartal useful for setting not very long texts in advertising and display matter, and for magazines as well.

My affection for Slab Serifs began in the early 1960s in Kansas City when Rob Roy Kelly was at the Kansas City Art Institute, teaching and writing his book on American Wood Type. I got to know him just well enough to gain access to his fabulous collection of wood type and wood type catalogs. Later, in the1970s, I tried to re-create a Nebiolo Egiziano for Roger Black at New West magazine. And again for Roger, in the 1980s, I designed a Slab Serif logo for Newsweek Magazine. Finally, in 2003, designed the Sutro Family. There were things I didn't like about it, so, over time, I’ve been adding some things and dressing it up a little. Sutro Shaded has existed for a few years as a one color, outlined, drop-shadowed display font. It seemed like it was just dying for a little color. I added five more fonts: Fill, Gradient, Hatching, Rules and HiLite. These fonts can be used in different combinations to achieve various effects. Tertius, with its high ascenders and clubbed serifs, is a modern interpretation of the classic Carolingian style (7th - 9th centuries AD). There was no capital form in the Carolinian hand and Roman square capitals were originally used with it. The Carolingian hand began, after a while, to develop more cursive tendencies as people looked for a way to speed up the writing process. I have “capitalized” on this trend and have devised an appropriate and dramatic set of flowing capitals for this family. With its elegant swashes and bold letter shapes, Tertius embodies the romance of medieval life, of knights, castles, and chivalry. Tertius comes in four styles:- -- Regular: with elegant, smoothly penned characters; -- Crenellated: written with a scratchy pen over rough parchment -- many drops of ink and blotches have been left on the parchment (“Crenellated” means battlements -- the rough protrusions on the top of castle walls); and -- Romantic: the capitals have been loosely overwritten generating a contemporary version of illuminated capitals. -- Illuminated: richly decorated illuminated capitals for use with Tertius Regular (28 characters) All fonts have been carefully crafted, letterspaced and kerned and contain full character sets of 237 characters.

"Murat Grotesque" is a sans serif font inspired by the "Impact" character. The corners were softened and many glyph forms were completely changed. It was transformed into a modern line, which is the result of the harmony of width and height, in particular to promote legibility in lowercase letters. You can enjoy using it...

Woodruff was inspired by a piece of charmingly hand-lettered signwriters’ ornamental Roman seen on a half faded away brick wall, on the end of a row of shops. It has a naive hand drawn charm that lends a very special touch to posters, signage and headings. Woodruff is ideal where an atmosphere of primitive charm, with a little regard for aesthetics is required, and can be used in such situations without sacrificing legibility.

The idea for the typeface Dekalb was born in 2013 after a day of photographing signage, murals and graffiti around Dekalb and Wyckoff avenues in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The initial drafts of the letterforms were first made into a single ultra-weight font that I used while working as the Creative Director for Sneaker News Magazine. After having made its first appearance in Sneaker News, I decided to expanded Dekalb to an eight style family.

Farbe is a contemporary hand created brush script font. A dry brush with minimal medium was used to create the nature textured look. Farbe is an all capitals font covering the full latin script (including diacritics and Greek) along with the Cyrillic script, numbers and punctuation. Remember those plastic Popsicle sticks that clicked together and you could make things from them with your sticky little fingers? Things like... camp crafts. Well, no� Of course you don't. You were too young. That�s why there is Campcraft. This is a fun loving dot-matrix font, or it would be a fun loving dot-matrix if the vertical and horizontal grid lines didn't pile up at the intersections. Then again, it wouldn't be any fun if they didn't pile up at the intersections, would it? Strictly a display type... Campcraft is excellent for what the name suggests. I goes well with Christmas sweaters, beaded jackets and purses and that time when we were all happy children with sticky little fingers.

The Monotype Typewriter" series contains three typefaces. These were made to enable type to be set that could emulate output from real typewriters. Use where a typewritten look is required for reports, tabular work, where the fixed pitch nature of these faces is an advantage, technical documentation and correspondence. Typewriter Regular is the base style of the family. Typewriter Elite is lighter than Typewriter Regular, and is monotone in weight, being designed to retain readability even when multiple carbon copies are produced. Typewriter Gothic is a medium weight sans serif typewriter face designed to give good readability from a fixed pitch typeface. Originally made for daisy wheel printers, the Typewriter Gothic font is useful for tabular work, technical documents, correspondence and reports."

School Hand is a font designed for use with young children. There is the Dotted version, which is designed to be traced over with a larger dot to show where to start and automatic lines. Then there is the Regular version which can be used for reading or can be printed light grey for tracing. School Hand Cursive is a cursive font which is designed using contextual alternates. Contextual alternates cannot be activated in the Myfonts preview window so please see the gallery images which show how the smooth flow of letters is achieved. Frans Masereel wrote or should I rather say cut some "novels in pictures" around 1927. They are written in powerful black and white woodcuts and were apparently printed from the original cuttings, at least that what it looks like. On the cover he cut the titles in rough wooden letters.
