The Sync font family is a layered system for chromatic typesetting. With its stylistic variety it enables a wide range of eye-catching combinations with colors and patterns. The very first sketches were inspired by some hand-painted characters on a weathered beach sign at the French Côte d’Argent and currently the font family comes with a total of 28 single fonts. Constant is a meticulously constructed slab serif display typeface of a sturdy lineage. The strong horizontal and vertical rhythm and calculated angles dominate its appearance, yet sweeping broad shapes infuse the design with an overall warm undertone. Constant is best suited for setting short headlines, word marks, posters and other visual communication ephemera. Particular when set in all uppercase the typeface’s squarish and resolute nature commands attention and projects authority. Despite the prominent slab serifs and their angular corner details, these fonts work well also for shorter text passages, especially in the lighter to medium weights. When typesetting Constant in paragraphs spanning several lines the face requires a fair amount of leading to not appear vertically compressed. This fine lined display type face was named Allioideae because of the ascenders of the lower cases. They are rising upright with a single stroke and are ending - depending on the font style - into a spherical blossom. The name was chosen concerned to the plant allium, that forms an umbel at the top of a leafless stalk, when it is blooming. Allioideae is the name of a subfamily of monocot flowering plants in the family Amaryllidaceae. The name is derived from the generic name of the type genus, Allium. The wide and round capital letters are showing a nice contrast to the lower cases and giving the font a kind of female feeling. Meet Pamplemousse, a display font that's part fun, casual script and part elegant typeface! Pamplemousse is most decidedly a fellow who enjoys lazy Sunday mornings spent sipping mimosas or bloody marys over a plate of eggs benedict and the New York Times crossword puzzle. He enjoys dressing up for use in branding and headlines (he looks particularly dashing in all caps) and also sitting back and composing a casual note to a dear friend. Pamplemousse is mostly sweet and just a little sophisticated, and he likes being just as he is. Pamplemousse started out as a typeface based on the lettering of Gustav Klimt in his poster for the first exhibition of the Vienna Secession movement (Art Nouveau). This drifted into an homage to Rea Irvin's iconic masthead typeface for the New Yorker magazine. Finally, with the addition of a lowercase (absent from Irvin's typeface), a significant revision away from both Klimt and Irvin into a more casual space, Pamplemousse was born! Neuarc Font Family This is the 20th font family of CozyFonts Foundry, established 10 years ago in 2012 with the release of Aladdin Bold. Neuarc is based loosely on arcs and curves, hence it’s naming. As shown in one of the font posters that serves to showcase this font, a collage of rough sketches is displayed as the poster’s background. These hand drawn pencil drawings were worked and reworked and The final drawings were scanned and built in Adobe Illustrator and transferred to glyph windows, glyph by glyph, in Fontlab 8. The 5 styles, so far, are reminisscent of The Art Deco Era of Design between the 1030s and 1950s. Neuarc also has it’s own footprint with several characters that stand out, eg. A, 8, &, B, ?, $, 5, w, x, a, c, e, etc. giving the reason for the ’Neu’ in the naming. These letterforms & Numbers work extremely well in monograms. Each styles has it’s own personality. Bovary is an elegant, stylized and expressive script font inspired by those beautiful calligraphies of yesteryear, but in a modern point of view. Bovary is full of personality! When I designed it, I started from the Clauques Script. Therefore, Bovary can be perfectly combined with Clauques Sans. Bovary includes almost 900 glyphs with many stylistic variations, swashes, ending and initial forms, catchwords and ligatures for both uppercase and lowercase, assuring almost infinite combination possibilities. In addition, the font includes a set of very useful ornaments to combine and give an ornamental aspect to the calligraphic text. All our fonts are carefully controlled and tested in both aspects: readability and technical aspects. We deal with the kerning pairs, optimization of hinting information to avoid pixel grid, and the precise programming of the OpenType features; as well as drawing smooth curves points and the final touch of each glyph. This is a digital revival by Cristóbal Henestrosa based on an experimental typeface named Charter, designed – yet never fully accomplished – by the prominent William Addison Dwiggins. It is an upright italic, unconnected script typeface, whose main features are a pronounced contrast, condensed forms and exaggerated ascenders. While Dwiggins worked on this project from 1937 to 1955, he only completed the lowercase and a few other characters. However, it was used to set a specimen in 1942 and a short novel in 1946. The sources that Cristóbal used for Mon Nicolette were the original sketches by WAD as well as printing trails kept at the Boston Public Library, and a copy of the 1946 edition of The Song-Story of Aucassin and Nicolette. This gorgeous typeface can be used successfully in headlines, subheads and short passages of text from 12 points onwards, in applications such as fashion magazines, soft news, advertising, poetry, albums, and book covers. This project started ten years ago, while Cristóbal was studying the Type@Cooper Extended Program at New York City. A previous version was selected to be part of the Biennial Tipos Latinos 2018, and now Mon Nicolette is finally ready for commercial distribution with Sudtipos… and we are very proud of it! Century Gothic™ is based on Monotype 20th Century, which was drawn by Sol Hess between 1936 and 1947. Century Gothic maintains the basic design of 20th Century but has an enlarged x-height and has been modified to ensure satisfactory output from modern digital systems. This handmade looking brush font is inspired by the titles of the 1959 movie, Imitation of Life, by prolific film titles artist, Wayne Fitzgerald. The 'pastiche' of the font's name derives from the 'imitation' of the film's title, and from the imitation of the brush. OpenType enabled software can make Pastiche Brush feel even more handmade. There are alternates for every letter and number, and most punctation marks and symbols. Every letter has at least one alternate glyph, and more commonly used (in English at least) letters have up to three, so when contextual alternates are enabled, the font automatically cycles through glyphs in a pseudo-random manner. This means no double letter combination will ever contain two identical glyphs. Not only this, but it's highly likely the same word will look different elsewhere in the sentence. The contextual alternates feature also takes care of start and end forms of letters, for an even more handmade feel. This is a great font for headlines in fashion glossies, food packaging where an organic look is desirable, posters, perfume bottles, wine bottles... the list goes on. And with extensive language support, it's going to be a very usable addition to your display font repertoire.

Universo and Universo Stencil by Mauro Andrés and Peggo Fonts is a display font family for “Caos Sagrado” specially designed for informative fanzine and magazines. Its name “Universo” comes from the quote “we have to talk about the horrible things of Universe” with the main idea of supporting and help to expose social problems. Inspired on Retro-Futuristic fonts and poster design and old scientific publications that is becoming a new design trend nowadays, and strongly influenced by the Italian type designer Aldo Novarese’s work, developed in the 50’s. "Universo CS" and "Universo CS Stencil" were produced between mid-September and October 2018 by Mauro Andrés under the creative direction of Victoria Rivas and those versions were publicly showed at “Impresionante” (a massive independent printing expo in Chile) with a printed specimen. The visual tension in Quell stems from conflict between two tendencies: The perfectly round shapes are geometrically constructed, yet the contrast of stroke widths and oblique line terminations suggest calligraphic roots.
