A 1930s advertising poster for the Inman Brothers Flying Circus offered up an interesting hand lettered Art Deco design that’s a cross between both squared and rounded character shapes. Because of it's 'futuristic look', the resulting type style can also lend itself to 1970s and 1980s retro projects as well as those from the 1930s and 1940s. Now a digital font, Air Circus JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions. A “Flying Circus” is a troupe of ‘barnstormers’ (stunt pilots) who performed aerial tricks either individually or as a team along with selling airplane rides to the general public.

Basic Stencil JNL was inspired by a lettering stencil sold by Dymo around 1968 that featured a sans serif design with rounded corners and an overall square look to the characters. This bold stencil design is available in both regular and oblique versions.

A classic example of Art Deco lettering made with a round nib ink pen was found within the pages of “Lettering” by Harry B. Wright (circa 1950). Now available as a digital type font, Pen Moderne JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The Ugaritic alphabet is a script with ancient letters that was used around 1400 BC. Ugarit is an Old Southwest Semitic language and was found in Ugarit, a place in Syria. It has 30 letters. Other languages ​​(especially Hurrian) are sometimes written in the Ugaritic script in the area around Ugarit

Classic XtraRound is a companion typeface to Classic Round, designed by Ben Blom. Although Classic Round has a lot of roundness, Classic XtraRound has more. Classic XtraRound has maximum roundness — no sharp corners, anywhere. Classic XtraRound has maximum roundness — and is still legible. It can be used as an interesting workhorse in small text sizes. It makes eye-catching headlines in big display sizes. This script font is inspired by the flexible nib strokes to create a concatenation of refinement with character mixing the contrast with pronounced but rounded angles. This angles along with the inktraps give the font a better performance when printing. Texts will have a very even rhythm due to its consistency on the stroke’s angle and spacing. The words can receive a dramatic touch by using the wide range of glyphs with curly and refined ornamentation. There are lots of caps and number variants dressed up with a variety of swashes. Also, two sets of versatile ornaments will be found: a first set of ending flourishes that match with any lowercase letter and a second set of independent flourishes to be placed around the words. Quarzo will give a great sophistication level to invitations, cards, tags, menus, advertising and packaging. Its character map covers Western and Central European characters.

A sales catalog sheet from the American Decalcomania Company circa the late 1940s-early 1950s provided some hand lettering that served as the inspiration for Sign Painter JNL. Emulating the look of characters made with a round pen nib, this Deco-style typeface conveys nostalgia and charm seldom found in advertising of today.

This typeface is a tribute to well-known Italian designer Marcello Nizzoli. Nizzoli is a modern sans serif font that offers a wide range of alternatives—a workhorse type well suited for headlines, posters, corporate identity and advertising campaigns. This modular design is based on geometric shapes and combines straight lines with rounded corners. The whole family is composed of four 7-weight subfamilies: one normal and one alternative plus rounded versions. Each subfamily includes matching italics. This typeface is my own interpretation of those curves and shapes found in Marcello Nizzoli’s designs.

The hand lettered title found on the sheet music for 1938’s "So Help Me (If I Don't Love You)" was the basis for Totally Deco JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. A classic mix of widely rounded letters and condensed letters typifies the design style of the Art Deco era.

Bold and squared with rounded corners, the hand lettering found within the November, 1936 issue of Radio Mirror magazine really stands out. This stylized sans serif design, when used in poster displays or headline lettering, is attention-getting and drives the point home. Radio Actor JNL, is available in both regular and oblique versions.

An image found online of the first [1923] “Oreo Sandwich” package provided a type inspiration from the pen-lettered block sans with rounded corners used for the product's name. Prior to 1923, the cookies were sold in boxes or tins. The result is Packaged Cookies JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Etruscania font is base on Anchient Etruscan Alphabet. The Etruscan alphabet is an Ancient Italian alphabet used by the Etruscans, an ancient civilization of the central and northern lands, to write their language, from around 700 BC to around 100 AD. The Etruscan alphabet took inspiration from the Phoenician alphabet. The earliest known Etruscan abecedarium inscribed on an ivory wax tablet frame, measuring 8.8x5 cm, was found at Marsiliana near Grosseto, Tuscany in Italy. It dates from around 700 BC.

DokChampa is a Lao font based on the Arial typeface. DokChampa was created by the Monotype Type Drawing Office to support Lao and Thai scripts. The DokChampa font is a legible sans serif that is good for use on screen and in printed documents. DokChampa is a Lao script font and requires an application program that supports Lao or Thai scripts.

Digitized handwriting fonts are a perfect way to give documents the “very special touch”. Invitations look simply better when handwritten than when printed in bland Arial or Times New Roman. Short handwritten notes look authentic and appealing. There are numerous occasions where handwritten text makes a better impression. “Picto Handwriting” comes with beautiful handwritten pictograms that let you quickly spruce up your designs.

Akebono means dawn in Japanese. It expresses the pleasure of imbalance. Stems and strokes are mixed--straight and round with slender terminals and arches. Akebono is available in three styles; Regular, Alternate, Italic. Akebono Alternate resembles the Regular but features some of the hooked tails found on the Italic. P22 Akebono is licensed exclusively to P22/IHOF
