Cornelius is a playful hand-drawn font family designed by Daniel Bak (Artcity). It is available in three handy weights: regular, bold and screaming. It contains international language accent marks and diacriticals, including Greek and Cyrillic in both OTF and TTF formats. Font family name is inspired by the main male ape character from the 1968 science fiction film Planet of the Apes and Pierre Boulle novel of the same name. Boulle published his La Planète des singes in 1963, which was originally translated in 1964 as Monkey Planet by Xan Fielding, and later re-issued as Planet of the Apes . Dr. Cornelius is a chimpanzee archaeologist and historian who appears in the original novel, and also the first three installments of the classic movie series, from the 1960s and 1970s. He was portrayed mainly by actor Roddy McDowall, but also by David Watson.

Alegria is a font family for joyful communication. Franz Fiebiger (1880 - 1932) was an Austrian painter and designer who was associated with the Vienna Secession. In 1908 he created a beautiful poster for the Kaiserjubiläums Möbel Ausstellung - a furniture exhibition during the Kaiser's Jubilee. Fiebiger Zwei (meaning Fiebiger Two) is the second font based on one of the hand made typefaces gracing this poster. As I had to work with only a few glyphs, I designed the missing ones myself. This humanistic sans serif design was inspired by a conversation that David Quay had with renowned type designer Hans Meyer, during ATypI in Paris, 1989. Meyer revealed that Sabon, designed by Jan Tschichold, was the inspiration behind his Syntax font. This approach formed the basis for the design development of The Foundry's very first sans serif typeface family; the inspiration for Foundry Sans comes from Stempel Garamond. Foundry Sans was the second typeface to be released for The Foundry typeface library in 1990.

Octagonist JNL is based on ‘Octagon’ [which was introduced in the George Nesbitt 1838 specimens of wood type] and is available in regular, oblique, solid and solid oblique versions. The font’s name is partly an homage (to the original type name) while at the same time making a pun on the word ‘Antagonist’.

Original Foundry: TypeType Original typeface name: TT Cottons Pinatas Cottons is a friendly hand-drawn typeface with condensed proportions. Each separate style of Pinatas Cottons was drawn by using different instruments. For instance, the black style was painted with a real brush, and the thin one was created with a pen. We tried to keep this analog feeling of hand drawing while we digitalized each style of the typeface. Pinatas Cottons is your ideal design helper.

Louis is a faithful digital rendition and expansion of a design called Fanfare, originally drawn by Louis Oppenheim in 1927. Redrawn digitally by Rod MacDonald, and engineered in-house by Canada Type, Louis includes the many alternates that came with the original design, and then some. It was also expanded into three variations, including a soft-cornered style, and a rough woodcut one. And of course, the codepage support covers the majority of Latin-based languages.

Figgins and Caslon may be names familiar to many as Type Founders. Indeed they are, but they are perhaps less well known for the emergence of Sans Serif type styles which have become part of our lives since 1889. The first hundred years of this style is celebrated with this design by Adrian Williams, completed in 1989. It echoes many features of the Gothic, Grotesque and Sans Serif models of the period, based particularly on the 1870 Figgins.

Bubbleboddy Neue is the redesign of one of the first Zetafonts typefaces. This is a digital reinterpretation of Walter Huxley's 1935 evergreen "Huxley Vertical", which was originally cast for American Type Founders. A timeless classic which has been in use since the Art Deco era, this version is known as Hotel Suite JNL. As in the original metal type, alternates for A,K,M,R,W and Y are available and can be found on their respective lower case keys. Hotel Suite JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Yet another typeface with simplicity as its core element. Concord is derived from a successful type family ‘Accord Alternate’ with an added geometric touch. Concord is a geometric sans serif. It has large counters which enhance readability. It is available in seven different weights for emphasis.

Inspired by logotype of the Paris Resort and Casino in Las Vegas comes the Paradiso typeface, complete with an unusual array of leaning and unusually large capitals versus a petite lowercase that have a loosely drawn feel. Definitely a typeface with capitals to be used in moderation!

Aure Nox inspires the chill whimsy of a haunted forest. The roughhewn forms of this decorative, sans-serif font engage the reader with a subtext of rakish charm. Surprisingly legible, Nox adds a bit of rebelious sass to text and titles, and a daring stance to astrological expressions and chartwheels. Nox is an original design developed by Aurora Isaac. After more than a decade in development, 2018 marks the first release of the CJ and KB glyphsets in regular, italic, bold, and bold-italic. The African Textile font had two major influences. The pattern is derived from the bogolan cloths from Africa, originally made using a traditional dyeing technique from Mali that uses bogo or clay as prime dye material. The character shapes are largely based on the Tabwa font. The font is best used as a heading or poster font, although the boldness of the design allows it to be useful at medium sizes, as subheadings as well. It is professionally letter-spaced and kerned and contains a complete character set.

Ossuary is a font in which each letter is formed using a uniquely arranged pile of skulls. The font was originally designed to be caps only, but small caps were added for convenience. There is now a character for each typeable letter of the American English keyboard. The font was inspired by images from the Kostnice ossuary in Sedlec, Kutna Hora near Prague. (Google it.) Whether you are fascinated or repulsed, such images have a mystery about them. They demand your attention. That is the feel this font was intended to capture.
