CA Normal Serif is the perfect companion to its grotesque brother CA Normal. But it is not just a serifed equivalent. It has a character of its own while preserving the principal proportions and the idea of quirkiness. It was not the aim to build a typeface that can immediately be identified as a relative of CA Normal. The intention was to create a matching typeface in aspects of aesthetic and concept. Whereas commonly serif-companions to grotesques are old-style or slab-serif, CA Normal Serif is situated between modern and slab-serif typefaces. CA Normal Serif is a little bit of an uncomfortable typeface. Nothing is smooth and cozy. It picks up elements of classic newspaper type as brought to us by Chauncey H. Griffith's legibility group, sharing the flavor of abrasive details and "slabbish" serifs. But the proportions are more condensed than the ones of its predecessors giving it a bit more elegance, which moves it closer to the aesthetic of "Scotch Romans".

It was originally inspired by my winter scarf knitting exploits. I discovered that making wool scarves was generating beautiful patterns and I wanted them to become a source of inspiration for a style. I made a few collages, and they became letters. Other characters came up with ease. It is readable, but long essays are not its main purpose. It is decorative and will look casual and very attractive on any ad as a title or a short phrase. It also demonstrates very good performance in automatic 3D generators, like Xara 3D maker, used in making examples of how this font can be utilised. It was designed to be thin, soft, with the capacity to cover empty space and to create a vibrant environment. Small characters are different from capital letters, they are stylistic alternates. Some letters are slightly ominous or dynamic, others create a soothing feeling. Using several colors make it shine, but it is complex, it looks good in monochromatic compositions as well.

Informal does not have to mean aggressively modern or casual. Helenium is inspired by some hand drawn capitals that I found added to a 19th century map. It's a great font for informal titles and headings that still keep an air or regularity and ever so slightly period elegance. The Mingler fonts have a great big smile and a crisp clear voice. They were originally created as a branding font for a restaurant chain to use in coupons, print ads and tv commercials. Bongani has its origins in wood-carved African design and art. The letter forms are informal and asymmetric and the "decorative" elements are matched to each letter shape and have no mechanical rigidity. It is was designed for situations that require: -- the look and feel of Africa -- strong ornamental headlines It can be effectively used in advertising and in applications such as greeting cards and book covers. The font is fully professional: carefully letterspaced and kerned. It contains over 235 characters - (upper and lower case characters, punctuation, numerals, symbols and accented characters are present).

It is not only coarse but extremly black, and it is quite right to name it Black Letter in English. Ernst Schneidler, the designer, created the smallest possible counters. Still, this very coarse black letter is sensitive in detail and drawn with a high level of aesthetics. By the way, it was said in Schneidler's design class in Stuttgart that his number one student Walter Brudi had cut some of the characters with �silhoutte scissors� from black paper. Made in La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland), HyperTurfu was born during the shooting of “The Return of Hyperturfu Xpress 2”. A GoPro on a lego electric train, meters and meters of rails, an empty industrial space, loads of puppets, paper, cardboard, pizza boxes, lights, hot glue and a bunch of friends preparing a one shot scene for a month. The title of the movie was made out of lego pieces, painted with golden spray and hanged over the rails. It was the first inspiration for this awsome superbold font. HyperTurfu is thought from ground up to give a strong impact. It’s gothic retro science fiction 80’s style makes it best suitable for metal music albums or posters. As the “Banco” font it works perfectly with short texts for advertisement, bar, cofee shops concert places or even fancy hairdresser. Just hang it over a pet shop and see what cool animals will come in.

Cornelius is a playful hand-drawn font family designed by Daniel Bak (Artcity). It is available in three handy weights: regular, bold and screaming. It contains international language accent marks and diacriticals, including Greek and Cyrillic in both OTF and TTF formats. Font family name is inspired by the main male ape character from the 1968 science fiction film Planet of the Apes and Pierre Boulle novel of the same name. Boulle published his La Planète des singes in 1963, which was originally translated in 1964 as Monkey Planet by Xan Fielding, and later re-issued as Planet of the Apes . Dr. Cornelius is a chimpanzee archaeologist and historian who appears in the original novel, and also the first three installments of the classic movie series, from the 1960s and 1970s. He was portrayed mainly by actor Roddy McDowall, but also by David Watson.

Ceres is has its roots in Cyan, our other font family. Like Cyan, Ceres has a complementary lowercase that provides more versatility than a classic Roman. It is arguably more elegant than Cyan with its accentuated serifs. The lowercase "e" and "g" give Ceres a distinct calligraphic personality. Ceres, the font, derived its name from Ceres the Roman goddess. In Roman mythology, Ceres is the goddess of growing plants (particularly cereals) and of motherly love. Ceres was usually equated with the Greek goddess Demeter. Ceres was the daughter of Saturn and Ops, wife-sister of Jupiter, mother of Proserpina by Jupiter and sister of Juno, Vesta, Neptune and Pluto. Ceres made up a trinity with Liber and Libera, who were two other agricultural gods. She also had twelve minor gods who assisted her, and they were in charge of specific aspects of farming.

Aphrosine is a font based on pointed pen script. A huge lot of alternatives and smart OpenType features allow it to look almost indistinguishable from real live handwriting. Aphrosine is something between handwriting and calligraphy: it took too much effort for being “just handwriting” but lacks seriousness and regularity comparing to true calligraphic fonts. That’s why it was called after a peculiar character from a children’s book: a witch who was very fond of dressing, makeup and writing letters. Aphrosine has three faces. But unlike most other type families, the glyphs from one face do not match exactly the glyphs from another one. The faces are based on writing with different nibs but by the same hand.
