AZ Grampa font was inspired from old content type on vintage tins. This font utilizes an "old look" to the line work which is designed to have a "worn feel" to it. Ideal for use as content text in you design.

Tropica Script was designed by Vince Whitlock, a casual, lighthearted script typeface. The initial capitals are complemented by a lowercase that connects by overlapping the linking elements on the bottom right of each letter, creating the look of true script.

Nothing is as it really should be with Thursday Afternoon. The x-height is jumpy, letters are not in their right places, lines are crunchy, serifs are uneven...the list goes on...but in the end, Thursday Afternoon turns out as a legible and functional font. It has most of the moves from classic serif fonts, but then again it has a mind of its own!

StapleTXT is a transformation from the monospaced typewriter font Staple mono into a text type. The 'mono' skeleton was used as much as possible but some characters were slightly altered in order to obtain more regularity without losing its specific typewriter atmosphere: little variation in character widths. The font has lining figures and works very well as text system in combination with the Staple mono.

My second font for 2009, Bling is a hoot. This vaguely Deco, sparkly sans is for those heads that need bling. This is the first font released in a long time without my complete feature set. This delightful dervish is based on handlettering from a 1928 poster for a steamship line by renowned British artist Austin Cooper. The Weidemann typeface's original name was Biblica, which was designed for the collaborative publication of a Bible by the German Catholic and Protestant Churches. The mass of text which the face was intended to set required that the design allow many characters to fit onto one line without rendering the words illegible. Thus, narrow spacing does not compromise the legibility or the elegance of Weidemann.

Pisang Manis means ‘sweet banana’ in Bahasa Indonesia. I don’t think this particular combination is used in everyday life, but it sounds nice. Pisang Manis is based on an older font of mine, called Pisang, which I created in 2013. It looks similar, but it is a different font altogether. Pisang Manis is a ‘Tall & Thin’ display font, ideally used for product packaging, websites and book covers.

The other day I drank a glass of white wine, which was partly made with Colombard grapes. When I created this font, I needed a bit of a ‘posh’ name, so I settled on Colombard. Colombard is a nice, handwritten font. Quite elegant, but cheeky at the same time. It comes with extensive language support and a full set of Discretionary Ligatures for double letter combinations.

Architype Crouwel is a collection of typefaces created in collaboration with Wim Crouwel, following his agreement with The Foundry, to recreate his experimental alphabets as digital fonts. Crouwel's most recognized work was for the Van Abbe and Stedelijk museums (1954 –72) where he established his reputation for radical, grid-based design. Stedelijk first appeared in the seminal Vormgevers poster, commissioned by the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam in 1968. Crouwel created a rigid grid system across the poster of 57 vertical by 41 horizontal lines, also forming the basis for the construction of the letterforms. Although all hand drawn, the resulting typeface had a machine-made appearance. This striking black and white poster with its visible grid became one of Crouwel's most iconic designs. Architype Stedelijk now re-creates these letterforms as a single alphabet typeface in a digital font.

ITC Tremor is the work of British designer Alan Dempsey. You might think that it looks like the letters are in a seismically lively geological zone, but Dempsey had other kinds of motion in mind. Most of the faces I design come from trace 'work-outs' for advertising products. In the case of Tremor, it was to reflect a lively teenager," says Dempsey. The result is ITC Tremor, a cartoony slab serif typeface with irregular angles, straight-edged curves, and lines surrounding each character, making them look like they are jittery.

Mr Lucky is Mr Happy's slab brother and a hand-drawn narrow typeface designed for one of our books. You can layer different styles over the background style to achieve lots of colorful effects.
