I wanted to combine a classical antiqua with corners and edges. I was convinced this combination would create a new, a fresh design of types. Belmont JNL is named for an avenue in the Bronx, New York famous for once being the location of the Belmont Estate, which was the home of the Lorrillard tobacco family.
