LiebeRobots is not your average collection of mean termination machines. LiebeRobots are friendly and polite. Some are from Mars, some from Venus, and some are probably from Germany. Most are from the future, some are from the past. And a handful are even from the 60s. LiebeRobots probably is the most comprehensive collection of hand-drawn robots ever. They look great on almost any greeting card, birthday card or invitation. LiebeRobots also serve as a perfect companion to any informal graphic design that needs a personal, handmade touch.

AggressIan is the release of the first font I ever drew. It was done by hand with triangle and parallel rule back in the mid-1980s. I originally called it Aggressor, but I never liked it. My local type designer friend, Ian Roberts, really likes this type of drawing and told me I had to release it. So I named it after him. The small caps should work well if you need a bolder version. It has oldstyle and lining figures, plus the small cap figures. I hope you like it.

I like playing around with brushes and Chinese ink. I always have some kind of idea of what the final design should look like, but once it’s done, it never ever looks like what I had in mind. Apex Brush is one of those designs: it started off as a few brush strokes, but before I knew it, I had a really nice set of matching brush fonts! Use it for any design that needs a bit of rough, a splash of ink and a pinch of rebel.

I am not really a creature of habit, but when I start working on a new font, I make myself a cup of coffee first. I guess you can call that a habit, so I decided to name this font Force Of Habit. Force Of Habit is a nice brush font - made with a cheap pencil that I borrowed from the kids’ colouring box and my trusted (and seemingly ever flowing) Chinese ink. Force Of Habit comes with extensive language support, some alternates and - quite possibly - a faint smell of freshly roasted coffee..

In Norse mythology, Yggdrasil is the tree of life, which grows right into heaven - maybe even space! It has deep roots, which grows into three different worlds. I made this font in hope that someone with a love to Norse mythology could use it - maybe even for something viking themed! I don’t think that the gods of Norse mythology ever heard of contextual alternates or multilingual support - but I added it, without even asking! - Yggdrasil has 5 different versions of each letter (in both Regular and Rough) and supports loads of different languages!

By 1915, all the major foundries offered families of sans serifs, sometimes called Gothic in the USA. Franklin was a response suitable for countries in the vanguard of the machine age. Designed by Morris Benton in 1903-1912, Franklin has preserved its own personality ever since. The ITC Franklin Gothic font family is a redrawing by ITC that keeps the original strength intact, meeting the demand for a strong typeface. ITC Franklin Gothic is better read in display sizes and considered a standard in the newspaper and advertising fields.

The Uto font family is named after the island of Utö, the southernmost part of Finland – an ascetic place that’s defined by bare simplicity. The same is true for the font, that’s constructed of the simplest of forms. At the outer archipelago, life is shaped by the ever-changing nature and its seasons. Uto thus comes as a variable font, making it highly adaptable for different requirements. Forest Shaded is the work of Martin Wait. It is reminiscent of the countless eccentric advertisement typefaces at the turn of 20th century. The industrial revolution in England saw the beginning of business advertisement and demanded ever more new and showy typefaces. Forest Shaded is an ornamental outline font and its thick figures have lively, even eccentric, forms, whose shading makes them look three dimensional. Forest Shaded is reminiscent of display window and metal sign typefaces of the late 19th and early 20th centures and is perfect for headlines in large point sizes.

Heavy Rain is a decorative roman typeface. Drawn and created by Mans Greback during 2020 and 2021, this medieval serif font has a distinct classic style and a historical character. It gives antiquity to any graphic project, and with its ornamental capitals it accentuates your message. In addition to the decorated uppercase, it is provided in a regular, simplified text style. The Tang family came to be, when I started studying fonts made for use in very small point sizes, like Bell Gothic. I studied the use of ink traps and went to town with them. Instead of just using them for their purpose: trapping ink to prevent the type getting blotted; I used them as a design feature. With those features Tang works very well in both headline and text use. I use it as a house type, and I've already seen it in a beer and cider labels.

Have you ever struggled while creating a quote with all ascenders/descenders getting on the way? When you can't find a perfect placement for a word because the letters on the upper line crossing the ones on the lower one? Well, I have :) If you want to reduce this struggle to a minimum, the Celestial brush font is for you. Aardvark Dreams… Yes, I guess this is the first font ever to have an aardvark in its name! Aardvark Dreams is a bit of an unusual font. It is didone-ish in style, but the glyphs are slightly warped, giving them an almost liquid appearance. The Vark is a cute font for children’s books, games, posters and artwork. It could also work on psychedelic record-sleeves, but I guess they don’t make ‘em no more. Aardvark Dreams comes with a bunch of ligatures and a whole lotta diacritics!

Drama Queen is a remake of the very first font I ever made. At the time, I was thirteen years old, and this was my handwriting. This font fully supports the following languages: Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Ukrainian. Foundry Wilson is a lovingly drawn revival of a 1760 font from Scottish type founder Alexander Wilson, a learned and cultured man who crafted his types with care and skill. Many of Wilson’s fonts were produced exclusively for the Foulis brothers' classics published by Glasgow University Press. This creative relationship produced typography that earned the praise of their peers. A fresh alternative to the contemporary Baskerville, with a taste of the incised letterforms of its time, Foundry Wilson is a robust and lively type design that displays a beautiful colour and texture on the page.

Isabelle is the closest thing to a metal type revival Jim Rimmer ever did. The original metal face was designed and cut in late 1930s Germany, but its propspects were cut short by the arrival of the war. This was one of Jim's favourite faces, most likely because of the refined art deco elements that reminded him of his youthful enthusiasm about everything press-related, and the face's intricately thought balance between calligraphy and typography. Not to mention one of the most beautiful italics ever made. Jim's early 2000s digitization included mathematical corrections to the original metal cut, as well as some functional improvements for digital use. In 2013, during the remastering of the entire Rimmer collection, Isabelle underwent a considerable rethinking/expansion and was rechristened Isabelle Pro. The new revisions include small caps, ligatures, seven types of figures, automatic fractions, extended Latin language support, stylistic alternates that include lowercase serif angle options in the roman and looped ascenders/descenders in the italic, and plenty of extra OpenType features like caps-to-small-caps substitution, case-sensitive positioning, ordinals, and extended class-based kerning. Now each of the Isabelle Pro fonts includes over 680 glyphs. 20% of this font's revenues will be donated to the Canada Type Scholarship Fund, supporting higher typography education in Canada.
