One big difference between M Zhi Hei and M Stiff Hei, is the similar thickness of horizontal strokes (橫) across all font styles, so that there would be a strong contrast formed by the thin horizontal and thick vertical strokes (橫、豎) in the bold face. Alimentary (adjective): relating to nourishment or sustenance. If you've seen my other fonts, you know I tend to lean into food-based names. This name has to do with food and science combined, so it's double nerdy in the ways I like to be nerdy! I started with Alimentary Medium, which was inspired by my shorter, wider font MacGuffin - I wanted something taller, narrower, with a hip and retro feel. When I finished the Medium weight, I felt like I wanted a Light weight. Then a Heavy weight. Then I figured, "what the heck," and made an outline version of the Medium weight too. In the end, I wound up with four members of the Alimentary family, each with over 700 glyphs! Not only do they all have the basics (A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and tons of punctuation), but they also each have 330 characters for European language support, and a limited selection of Greek, Coptic, and Cyrillic characters. Usually fonts that are related to computers, space, future are not handmade, but rather digital made. Autoray is 100% handmade, and I am not sure which category it fits in. It has this futuristic and intergalactic look, but at the same time the handmade details are pointing in a more grafitti and comic way. I will let you decide where to go with Autoray! I have added 5 different versions of each letter, and they automatically changes as you type - and of course, there's multilingual support - and even intergalactic gravity! :)

Twirrewyn is Frisian for ‘Whirlwind’. I have always liked the Frisian language; it’s like a crossover between English and Dutch. When I studied journalism in Zwolle (a city close to Fryslân) there were a lot of Frisian students and I did pick up a few words! Twirrewyn is a handmade font family: the fat version was made using a brush and ink; the light version was made using that same ink, but with a broken satay skewer instead of a brush. And yes, you have guessed right, we eat a lot of Satay! ;-)

Spekulatus is a made up name, and that was what I needed for a font like this. I am not sure which category it fits in: grunge, square, handmade, rough or maybe even graffiti? Well, let's just say that it fits in all 5 - or perhaps even more? All letters are handdrawn, and messed up a bit with a thin fine white liner, leaving a gentle grungy and worn effect. I've added 5 different versions of each letter, which is quite nice - not having the same letters repeating all the time!

Nvma is based on Roman letterforms which appeared during the period from the earliest extant examples in the sixth or seventh century BC until the end of the third century BC. For Nvma the J, U and W had to be fantasies as they did not exist until much later, similar to the G, numerals and other non-alphabetic signs in the font. Thus not all of the archaic forms are represented in Nvma. Nvma was designed to work with Magma, as it matches the weights and heights for Magma Thin and Magma Titling Thin.
