The purpose of the original DIN 1451 standard was to lay down a style of lettering which is timeless and easily legible. I started creating this font at my university while studying graphic design. It's constructed using nails in different sizes and various parts of floppy-disks. Based on electrical circuitry, David Philpott's Circles typefaces are oddly legible, even though one might think they were destined for display usage only. The circle is the base form, repeated throughout the design.
