Quantour is a geometric monospaced display sans typeface which has a distinct style and is inspired by the Mid-Century Modern era. The Quantour name is a combination of the Latin 'quantum' meaning "unit of something" and the French 'tour' which means "to turn". I set out to design a contemporary font that is condensed with thick and thin strokes. The highly structured forms of this condensed font was made more interesting and softer by giving it a slightly calligraphic tone and by adding round corners. Atto's express purpose is to be both utilitarian, compact and technical but with a friendly face. The name "atto" was adopted since it refers to the measurement of "smallness" or detail. You will no doubt discover all the many pleasant nuances within Atto. Adopted in 1964, "atto" comes from the Danish "atten", meaning eighteen. Atto - (symbol a) a SI prefix to an unit and means that it is 10 to the power- 18 times this unit. Examples are one attosecond or one attometer/attometre. Taking into consideration some complaints about lack of capital letters and deficiency of heavier weight styles, the Fermo typeface was redesigned to replace the existing font, dated 2002. New Fermo includes two subfamilies—Fermo TRF and Fermo-Uni TRF. Both fonts now consist of three weight styles—light, regular and bold—with significant contrast. During the updating process some minor glyph shape adjustments and changes have been made. Fermo TRF's main distinctions from the previous font are the new capital letters and additional weight (light) style. Fermo-Uni TRF is a unicase font with an additional lightweight style. Fermo is recommended for use as a display font. In large size settings negative tracking is recommended.

Austrian Cartoonist Wolfgang Ammer lent his handwriting to this font, which was produced by Miriam Surányi. Wolfgang already uses the font in his daily routine: It facilitates corrections and translations of his cartoons for international newspapers. Rich in contextual alternates, Ammer contains about 1800 glyphs. Each character has multiple alternates. And a complex OpenType substitution feature makes sure that the same variant does not appear twice in a line. As a special gimmick, the font contains a Tic Tac Toe game: To activate it, type a # and turn on stylistic set 20. Then use digits 1–9 for setting the naughts and crosses on their places. The enclosed TT variant has a reduced glyph set and therefore a smaller file size, hence it is better suited for use on the web.

Yink takes big, bulbous, ball terminals up a notch, by repeating the shapes not only in the black but in the white space too. This interplay between black and white shapes is reminiscent of the yinyang symbol in places, which is where the name Yink originates. It's a shamelessly over-the-top font, and should be set large. Introducing Megatropolis : intellectual, architectural, urban and urbane. What started as an idea where the counters would be letters (3 scribbled glyphs on a piece of scrap paper), has grown into a mighty font family of eight stackable fonts. First came Megatropolis itself, a Deco font within a Deco font; Double Deco, you might say. In Illustrator, you can deconstruct it to make solid letters, outline letters or just the inset letters on their own, and you can stack them how you wish. Or you can get the whole Megatropolis family with Black , Outline , Inset , Smog , Shade and Shade with Inset and keep them all separate stackable, editable fonts. An offbeat alternate caps typestyle inspired by the title screen of a 1968 Walt Disney film titled, The Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit. This playful and childish font comes with an extensive language set, a stylistic alternates feature that auto-alternates between capitals & lowercase (alt caps), as well as a contextual alternates feature that auto-alternates between sets only where double characters are typed like SS, TT, etc. The contextual alternate feature also enables a few titling word options like " the " " in " and " in the ". As noted in the quotes, when these word sets are typed with a space before and after them, it will trigger the swap when contextual alternates is on. Switching on Contextual Alternates enables automatic alternations between caps and alt caps like AlTeRnAtIoNs to create a more randomized look.

Created with headline, logo and other short display work in mind, Duende comes in two weights with alternates for the upper and lowercase, consecutive characters are controlled with the OpenType Ligature feature. You can also make your own lowercase f and t to fit any situation combining one of the included crossbars and non-crossbar f or t characters (available as ‘Alternates for Current Selection’ when f or t is selected). Just select the crossbar you want from the glyph table as a separate text element and move it anywhere. Also included are ten tt ligatures with crossbars and one without. Duende also has a few other swashy things that can be used to cross the lowercase f and t. Customize alternate capitals U, V, W, X and Y with any one of the swash options available in the glyph table for those characters.

A 1918 poster issued during World War I from the YWCA encouraged women to pitch in to the war effort by joining the “United War Work Campaign”. The Art Nouveau hand lettering of that poster was a slight throwback to the “Western” or “Victorian” style of typography because of the characters having split serifs. This is now available as Village Hall JNL, in both regular and oblique versions

Vintage sheet music for the song "Just Once for All Time" (from the United Artists release "Congress Dances") provided the bold sans that served as the model for Dance Number JNL. This 1932 film was the English language version of the German comedy "Der Kongrefl tanzt" The movie's plot is based around the Congress of Vienna. There, an Austrian commoner is mistakenly thought to be the Tsar of Russia.

The 1888 edtion of James Conner's Sons United States Type Foundry specimen book listed this little gem simply as "Antique Light". Its original, rather anemic outlines have been beefed up and its serifs have been rounded, with the result that this face will get noticed wherever it goes. Both versions of this font include the complete Latin 1252 and CE 1250 character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

Rollerscript is, in effect, a more modern version of Olicana whose letterforms were drafted using a nibbed pen and ink. Handwriting tends to change depending on what instrument you're using and with Rollerscript the outcome is decidedly more casual and informal than Olicana, though equally realistic. Pronounced pressure points where characters start, end or join make for a very authentic hand drawn appearance which is enhanced still further through the use of over 100 standard ligatures. Character pairings like ‘tt’ or ‘gg’ in normal handwriting fonts never look natural but in Rollerscript will now automatically change as you type! Rollerscript’s handwriting credentials are given a further boost with the inclusion of multiple underlines and sketched icons, arrows and emoticons. There is an extra stylistic set for alternate styles of cursive r and z. You can also choose between Rough and Smooth styles.

Auntie Pat is a new script font in my continuing objective of designing scripts that I can really use. Of course, I am looking for readability in booklets. In many ways, Auntie Pat is a very unusual script in that it has caps, lowercase, small caps with the appropriate figures for each case. This is font has all the OpenType features in the set for 2009. I didn't bother with the CE accents (though I can add them upon request). There are several ligatures for your fun and enjoyment: bb gg ff fi fl ffi ffl ffy fj ft tt ty Wh Th and more. Like all of my fonts, there are: caps, lowercase, small caps, proportional lining figures, proportional oldstyle figures, & small cap figures, plus numerators, denominators, superiors, inferiors, and a complete set of ordinals 1st through infinity. Column Sans, talking about space efficiency. The character set that condensed can maximize the use of limited space without losing good legibility aspects. The typeface is very appropriate to be used as a text in a small column widths, display text, caption, title, author credit on the film, etc. Column Sans is available in OpenType format in the three weights Light, Regular, and Bold, whereby there are corresponding italics for all variants. In the same narrow italic versions, the "a" has a closed form while the "f" has a descender. Shandy is a cheerful, free-spirited font that dances jauntily along an undulating baseline. Like Gene Kelly merrily cavorting through that rain-soaked street, in the famous dance scene from Singin’ in the Rain. Un Jour Merveilleux means "a Wonderful Day" in French. This font is a Modern Calligraphy script with stylistic alternates for all the lowercase letters and numbers for a natural flow and rhythm. Smaller and larger alternates are set to switch between each other within the Contextual Alternates OpenType rule, so make sure to enable this feature while setting text with this font. Kirshaw is not your grandfather's sans serif from the 1950s and 1960s. All those old classics like Helvetica, Futura, Franklin Gothic, and Univers are showing their age like an old Elvis Presley song. Kirshaw is a clean, rounded design with sharp contrasting edges. Like those classics, Kirshaw is easy to read in small body copy and captions, plus it's delightfully modern and stylish for headlines and logos. I designed Kirshaw and Kirkly while undergoing cancer treatment at Stanford Medical Center. Font design was always in the back of my mind and now I had extra time. Kirshaw is a distinctive, modern, easy-to-read sans serif family consists of 14 weights (including italics).
